This document presents a study on improving the ultra high density (UHD) stitching process for connectors, focusing on reducing manual inspection times, which account for 15% of manufacturing costs. The research utilizes process improvement tools to reorganize the inspection stages, leading to a reduction in visual inspection time from 47.78 seconds to 24.01 seconds per connector, and increases overall process improvement from 56% to 79.5%. By implementing automated systems and improved methodologies, the study aims to enhance efficiency and quality in connector manufacturing.
