It provides a single curated employee destination that can be configured for specific roles like frontline workers. So, leaders can communicate and engage their employees, and employees can get easy access to the tools and resources they need from one place.. Connections builds on existing capabilities in Microsoft 365 like SharePoint and Yammer. And it pulls your communications together into a pre-configured app in Teams, designed for both desktop and mobile workers. It also acts as a launching pad to the other 3 Viva modules
Insights brings together Workplace Analytics, MyAnalytics and Glint into a unified insights app in Teams to provide data-driven and privacy-protected insights for individuals, managers and leaders. For example, employees get personalized insights, only they can see, that help them protect their time for breaks, focused work, and learning in order to promote improved productivity and wellbeing.
Topics focuses on knowledge and expertise. Topics applies AI to identify knowledge and experts and organize them into shared topics. AI automatically creates a topic page for each topic. Finally, Learning allows employees to easily discover informal and formal learning in the flow of work. It aggregates content from LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Learn and 3rd party training content and your own organizations content – all in one place. Along with providing aggregation and recommendations, it also allows managers to assign and track training, as well as report on training within and across teams.

Community Platform: Choosing the Right One Satya S
How will you go about selecting the best platform out there in the market? Are you selecting a product that has features which can really be utilized? Do you really require the host of features offered by the social networking tools? Get answers to all these questions and much more.
Teams combines chat & collaboration, meetings & calling, and Apps & Workflows into a single app. This gives your teams the tools they need to collaborate, and it offers an extensible platform for building customized solutions.
On their own, many of the innovations in Teams are fairly simple. But taken together, they are incredibly powerful. I love the way threaded conversations are smart enough to know exactly when to collapse previous replies and focus on the latest comments. I love the way Teams brings SharePoint and Office together into an integrated document collaboration experience.
And I love the way my meetings in Teams are just more productive. Pre-meeting preparation is done in context; post-meeting follow-up includes a meeting recording; and the in-meeting experience helps focus attention, drive engagement, and foster inclusion with features including live captions, background blur and the ability to turn physical whiteboard into digital ink.
Only Teams delivers this hub for teamwork and it is built on the strength and scale of Microsoft 365 to provide the enterprise grade security and compliance our customers expect.

How to Better Leverage SharePoint through Microsoft TeamsChristian Buckley
Presentation given at the Digital Workplace Conference New Zealand on May 1st, 2018. This session walks through some of the latest updates on SharePoint, discusses the changes happening within the collaboration space, makes a case for Microsoft's architectural decisions around Office 365 Groups and the Microsoft Graph, and how Teams can provide a powerful and flexible collaboration solution that complements SharePoint to meet most enterprise collaboration scenarios.
There is a growing trend of organizations embracing new capabilities in “the cloud” to meet their digital workplace and Intranet needs. While some organizations are running their Intranets “on premise,” most are transitioning or have migrated to cloud-based solutions or run them on platforms like Microsoft 365.
The question for many companies is not “should our intranet be built with Microsoft 365?” but “how should we integrate or build our Intranets with Microsoft 365”. This is even more true today with the emergence of new modern Intranet capabilities and continued innovation from Microsoft that must be reconciled with enterprise Intranet/Digital Workplace needs.
In this session Richard Harbridge will explore:
• The benefits new Office 365 features bring to an intranet
• Where the issues and challenges will lie
• Practical guidance on when and how you may integrate Office 365 with your existing intranet today
LS Intranet is a digital workplace solution in Office 365 where employees can communicate and collaborate together. It is built on the best intranet practices and up-to-date trends. 1 hour installation process, affordable pricing and unique workflow tool are the key reasons why customers choose LS Intranet.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
