• What will the weather be like for
  London over the next few days?
• How do you know this?
Weather Forecast
• A weather forecast is a prediction of
  the weather
• People who make these predictions are
  known as meteorologists

• Lets have a look at a forecast;
• In the back of your books write down
  the forecast for anywhere you see
Weather Forecasts
• Before satellite images, we used to use
  symbols to demonstrate the weather
• On your worksheet, try to match the
  symbol with its description
• Use a ruler to connect them

• A weather report is an account of what
  weather has actually happened.
• The information is put into tables
• Using the map, can you display the
  following weather conditions
• Using the Canbury Weather
  Diary, describe the weather over the
  last week. Use the figures to explain
  yourselves

• Find out the weather for a location of
  your choice

• Use the weather report to do this
