When You Don’t Sleep
• If you get less than 6 hours of sleep:
– You double your chances of cancer
– Inadequate sleep – even moderate reductions for just
one week – disrupts blood sugar levels so profoundly
that you would be classified as pre-diabetic.
– Sleep disruption further contributes to all major
psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety,
and suicidality.

• “I get eight hours of sleep, unless I’m traveling in different time

How to Get the Best Sleep
• First off, you have to let your mind wind down
• Therefore, do not have your phone on 30
minutes before bed, especially don’t have
your blue light screen on.
• At least use your blue light filter

• Bluelight tells our brain to be attentitive and
alert to work
• No bluelight, it tells our body to rest

• Blue light suppresses the release of
melatonin in our brains, which leads to a
lower quality of sleep
• I have blue light filters on my phone and
computer 24 hours a day. I prefer to get blue
light only from the sun

Stick to Sleep Schedule
• Our bodies have a hard time adjusting to
volatile sleep schedule
– If we try to sleep on a different schedule every so
often we will have a lot of trouble sleeping

Exercise After Waking Up
• Exercise in the morning.
– Exercising too late will cause your sleep to be out
of sink

Relax Before Bed
• Shut off the computer at least 30 minutes
before bed to give your brain a rest

• Make sure its completely dark
• No alarms or phone in the room
• And make sure its cool

Don’t Lie in Bed Awake
• If you can’t sleep after 15 minutes – get up to
relax yourself
– If you keep trying to sleep, you will just get more
anxious

• Set your sleep schedule to be consistent and
at the same time
• Set up your room to be sleep friendly
