Here are my key takeaways from Interview 2:
- The interviewee is open to some narration as long as it's not excessive. This suggests balancing narration with other elements.
- They prefer radio show music as long as it has a creative feel. Original music is important to maintain interest.
- They pay attention to whatever element is done best in a given radio show. Quality is prioritized over any single element.
- Release dates should be announced upfront, with more information released closer to air date. A gradual, strategic marketing approach is preferred over dumping all details at once.
Overall this interviewee values immersion, creativity, quality over quantity, and a strategic marketing approach. This
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

5. RESEARCH ANALYSIS
(RADIO SHOWS)
All the radio shows I have chosen all start quickly and
normally paced so they can grab the chosen audience's
attention. They also start off with straight cuts with the
narrator talking and then progressing onto the certain
topic. I am going to utilise the knowledge that I
have gained from the music and sfx editing in the radio
show It’s a wonderful life: a live radio play', and the
informative tone of the ‘radiolab' radio show, while
creating a radio show that has a audible style and feel
that is similar as 'Elaine Paige on Sunday'. Ultimately, I
would like to create a radio show that my audience can
enjoy as well as inform on music of the 'formidable
forties' .
6. EXISTING PRODUCT: IT’S A
WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE
RADIO PLAY (POSTER)
The advertising poster for this live radio play, ‘It’s
a wonderful life' has the colour scheme of sky blue
and aurum, the eye catching elements when you
see this poster is the microphone with the golden
widescreen as well as the golden graffiti wings in
the background. This is because the poster uses
focus to catch the audience's eye. The film's title is
capitalised and enlarged to also capture the
audience's attention but also the title is
referencing the movie ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ which
is what the radio play will be about. To conclude
the poster is very visually pleasing as it is made to
catch the audience's eye and makes them want to
listen to this radio show.
7. EXISTING PRODUCT: THE
GREEN HORNET AND THE
GREAT CARNY CAPER
(POSTER)
The movie poster for this radio show, 'The Green
Hornet and the Great Carny Caper' has the colour
scheme of yellow and red, the eye – catching
elements of this poster is the red and yellow graphics
of the triangular background shape which pulls you
in. This is because the poster uses focus to catch the
audience's eye. The radio show’s title is capitalised
and enlarged to also capture the audience's attention
but the title references the radio show’s name.. To
conclude the poster is very visually pleasing as it is
made to catch the audience's eye and makes them
want to listen to this radio show.
8. EXISTING PRODUCT: TEA
AND BISCUITS WITH WILL
AND BRYAN (POSTER)
The advertisement poster for this radio
show ‘Tea and biscuits with Will and
Bryan' has the colour scheme of lemon
yellow and cyan blue, the first thing
that catches your eye when you see
this poster are the two gingerbread
men sitting amiably in the tea cup,
who we presume are the two main talk
show hosts of the radio show ‘Will’ and
‘Bryan’ . This shows that the poster
uses focus to catch the audience's eye.
The film's title is capitalised and
enlarged to also capture the audience's
attention. To conclude the poster is
very visually pleasing as it is made to
catch the audience's eye and makes
them want to listen to the radio show.
9. RESEARCH ANALYSIS
(POSTERS)
The posters all use colour contrast to guide the attention of the audience to see or read first what that
they want to read/see first, the use of contrast in general is also a coherent theme, all the posters have
quite difined shadows and highlights. The posters are all dominated by one or two chractors and
therefore are all quite simple. I think I will definitly include both the simple design and colour contrast
in my production work as it works extreemly well to create to create intrest, if it is approprite I will also
include a rhetorical question this is because I think rhetorical questions work very well at indulging the
audince and reeling them in, to have another look at the poster, so that they can try to figuire out what
is going on within the poster. Another common theme was the use of capatilsed text, all the posters
used capatlised text to emphizse the title of the film and to also catch the viewer's eye. I will also spend
time researching what colours to use and what levels of contrast to use as I think with all the posters a
lot of time and thought has gone into just how much contrast should be used or what colour schemes
they should utilise, for far better reasons than 'it looking good'. I would hope to include a similar level
of saphistication and creativity/originality within my posters.
Overall looking at these posters I have realised how important colour scheme and colour contrast is to
create a visually interesting poster and just how much you can guide the audience's eyes to look
exactly at the poster aspects that you want. I have learned a lot about character placemenr and
especially from the ‘Tea and biscuits with Will and Byran' poster ho to create intrest around the
chractor by 'showing and not telling' as to say show their expressions on their faces and not to tell
them.
12. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
The first 2 questions were very basic questions to establish an audience
and an idea of who is taking the survey. This will help me throughout
the survey to determine why answers might be heavily one sided (e.g.
only men are taking the survey)
From the results we can see the gender is relatively balanced
though there was 4 more male participants, however the age
range is heavily dominated by 16-19-year olds. This means if
there is a trend of similar answers it could be due to the similar
age range. This will be useful information as it will give me an
idea of the interest of that age range. I will change the aspects
of my products to fit the results of the survey (aka this
13. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Observation: The results show that most people listen to radio shows that most people listen
to radio shows, with the majority stating that they listen to chart shows and the second
majority stating that they listen documentary shows. It also shows that the demographic
who took the survey are not 'too' interested in listening to drama shows, sports shows and
podcasts as there are no responses stating the other shows.
What this says about my audience: This could mean that the results are going to be a lot
more honest as the audiences is speaking from an honest point of view because the
audience will be more of an 'everyday joe.'
How will your product appeal to this audience: I will adjust aspects of my product so that my
final will check as many boxes as possible. This will mean that my product will appeal to
the established demographic as well as the average person listening to radio show or using
social media.
14. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Observation: From the results we can see that the most listened to radio shows by this
audience are jazz and dubstep. This suggests that the audience prefers these two genres of
music or because of social media these two music genres have been marketed towards this
demographic.
What this says about my audience: Most of my potential audience would be most used to
Jazz/dubstep music and would already have an idea of how jazz and dubstep tend to be
created.
How will your product appeal to this audience: My product is going to be a music jazz style
radio show however I already intended to an underlying factual aspect to the radio
show which I will probably magnify to showcase the factual aspect of the radio show more.
This will give the radio show a larger platform and more people will listen to the radio show.
15. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Observation: It is perfectly evident that the audience are not
interested in the historical development of music.
What this says about my audience: It shows that they want a radio
show that only plays music and not just spouts information.
How will your product appeal to this audience: I will ensure that my
radio show will play music but will also be
informative, while focusing on making it auditorily enjoyable.
16. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Observation: We can see that a vast majority of the audience prefers entire tracks
of music, this could be correlated to age as 1 participant falls into the age the
age range 16-19.
What this says about my audience:
This shows that my audience prefers music shows that plays entire tracks
of songs, instead of tasters.
How will your product appeal to this audience: Within my radio show I will
include tracks of music while also showcasing the more informative aspects of
the radio show while dwelling on them too much
17. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Observation: Out of the 13 responses 12 wanted the radio show to be 30
minuets long, and only one person wanted the radio show to 40 minuets
long.
What this says about my audience: This shows that a large portion of
my audience wants my radio show to be 30 minuets long.
How will your product appeal to this audience: I will make sure
18. AUDIENCE RESEARCH

to radio shows on the internet while 4 wanted the medium to be on
the TV.

prefers to listen to radio shows on the internet as it is easily
accessible
How will your product appeal to this audience: I will make my radio
show accessible on YouTube, this means the radio show will appeal
to over 80% of the participants. As it will fall right between the
most popular results.
19. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Observation: The vast majority stated that they preferred the radio
to be narrated by someone who is a general presenter rather than
someone with topical knowledge.
What this says about my audience: This shows that my
audience likes general presenters rather than someone with topical
knowledge
How will your product appeal to this audience: My radio show
will be presented by a general presenter?
20. AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Observation: The results overwhelmingly show that the audience
thinks that the radio show would be best advertised on the TV.
What this says about my audience:
This shows that my audience would like hear the ad on the TV.
How will your product appeal to this audience: I will make sure that
my radio show will be advertised on the TV.
22. INTERVIEW 1: NAME: AMY
WATSON AGE:18, GENDER:
FEMALE
Do you like narration from presenters in radio shows Why? Or why not?
I prefer radio shows to not have narration, as I think it breaks the immrsion into the
world radio. If the narrator is breaking the fourth wall, then it is harder to put yourself
into the world the show is trying to build. Plus, it will be harder to focus on the on the
music you are hearing in the show if you are concentaiting on what the narrator is
saying.
Do you prefer the generic 'radio show music' or do you prefer radio shows that use
music from real bands? Why?
I think it is better for a radio show to use music from a real band, as it makes it more
relatible for the audience members who know the song, and it leaves the meaning of
the music in the contexct it's been put in much more open to interpretation. Though it
does make the radio show harder to make in some respects, as it has to fit the song
and cut the appropriate times so as not create any dissonance
When listening to a radio show what do you pay more attention to, the information, the
characters, the music? Which is it and why?
I pay the most attention to the music in a radio show, because I think the choice of the
soundtrack often tells the theme of the music show.
When listening to a radio show do you prefer it to be broken up with reviews, release
dates etc. Or do you prefer the information film to be in one piece and the reviews and
release dates etc. To be shown afterwards? Why?
I think a radio show should only have adverts because it's how they make money.
23. INTERVIEW 1
Observation: This interview shows that the interviewee very
much focused on sound and music when listening to a radio
show and they wanted the radio show to be as immersive as
possible, saying they don't appriciate reiviews as it could as
it could give you the wrong impression of the radio show
(negative or positive) and the actual product being very
different to what you except.
What this says about my audience: This shows that my
audience want to be immersed and 'taken out of reality' and
into the world of radio when listening to the radio show.
They want to be immursed through through the sound
desigin, while staying grounded in reality by having for
example a song from a real band as the theme tune of the
radio show.
How will your product appeal to this audience: In my
product I want to use sound desigin as a large factor of
creating intreast for the audience, using real world music
and diegetic sounds, to influence the editing and using very
little 'voice-over' or 'narration' to explain what is going on,
in the radio show.
24. INTERVIEW 2:
NAME: HARRY DOCWRA
AGE:18, GENDER: MALE
Do you like narration from presenters in radio shows Why? Or why not?
Sometimes I like narration in radio shows if it doesn’t go on for too
long and ruin the radio show
Do you prefer the generic 'radio show music' or do you prefer radio
shows that use music from real bands? Why?
I prefer generic horror radio show music as long as there is a certain
creative feel to it
When listening to a radio show what do you pay more attention to, the
information, the characters, the music? Which is it and why?
It really depends on what is done the best.
When listening to a radio show do you prefer it to be broken up with
reviews, release dates etc. Or do you prefer the information film to be
in one piece and the reviews and release dates etc. To be
shown afterwards? Why?
I prefer to know as much as possible about the radio show but not too
early. Release dates should be the very first thing to be announced.
Then more information should be released as the radio show gets
closer to its official release date.
25. INTERVIEW 2
Observation:
This shows that interviewee is very much focused on sound and music
when listening to the radio show and they wanted the radio show to be
immersive as possible saying that they prefer to know as much as
possible about the but not too early. Release dates should be the very
first thing to be announced. Then more information should be released
as the radio show gets closer to its official release date.
What this says about my audience:
This shows that that my audience want to be immersed and 'taken out

They want to be immersed through the ssound design, while
staying grounded by having for example having horror music with a
creative feel to it as the score of the radio show.
How will your product appeal to this audience:
In my product I want to use sound design as a large factor of
creating interest for the audience, using real world music and diegetic
sounds to influence the editing and using very 'voice over' or 'narration'
to explain what is going on, in the radio show.
