This lesson plan is for a 3rd grade Spanish class. It focuses on reading suspense literature and describing characters' moods. Over 3 sessions, students will work on an "Emotionary" project where they propose and write examples of emotional situations, organize the examples, and present their Emotionaries. They will read narratives, use comprehension strategies to understand characters' moods, and relate moods to specific moments. Students will work in pairs and groups, analyzing songs and cutting/pasting pictures and sentences to create brochures displaying different emotions. Assessments include worksheets, their product, and a quiz to evaluate their understanding of narrative elements and vocabulary. The goal is for students to use various strategies to understand narratives
