Advantages Of Virtual Reality
The first one and half decade of 21st century has seen significant, rapid advancement in the
development of electric device technology. The large size PCs turns into the small size and eventually
laptop are covering majority market. Inn this duration, small and highly powerful mobile technologies,
has exploded while prices steadily become lower and lower. The rise of smartphones and device like
Google Glass with high density displays and 3D graphics capabilities has allows this new technology
called virtual reality.
What is Virtual Reality?
The definition of virtual reality comes naturally as it is a combination of two words virtual and reality
. It can be anything but mostly refers to a particular type of reality emulation. In scientific ... Show

For example in our childhood, we learned we have five senses: taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing.
However, the fact that humans have lots of other senses than this, such as a sense of balance for
example. This other sensory input ensures that we have an abundant flow of information from the
environment to our minds.
Therefore, we can say that our entire experience of reality is nothing but a combination of sensory
information and our brains sense making mechanisms for that particular information. It stands to
reason then, that if you can present your senses with given information, your perception of reality
would also change in response to it.
Use of Virtual Reality technology:
Today there are many applications use virtual reality which mainly include fields like Architecture,
Sport, Medicine, the Arts and surely an entertainment where we can see considerable growth in the
recent time.
Today many big companies like Samsung, HTC and Google are creating virtual products. You will
find that there are many mobile app development companies are doing Virtual Reality Application
Development. Here, I have given few advantages of using virtual reality technology by business
enterprises.

Analysis Of It s Like Everyone
It s like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story
makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story (Patrick RuthFuss). When a baby is
brought into this world, the only piece of identity it attains from its mother and father is its name. The
rest of the way through life, that person which has been given life, has to find their own path and their
own identity. Although parents teach very dignified lessons of values, it is up to him/her to establish if
they want to adopt the ideals of his/her parents. Lisa Hill from Monkey Beach (Eden Robinson) goes
through the same dilemma that every child that becomes a teenager goes through, the search for
identity. In Monkey Beach, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lisa Hill has confronted many different forms of inequality throughout the novel. Lisa was walking
through a strip mall in a part of town called Terrace when she saw her friend Erica being chased by a
car full of white men verbally harassing her. Lisa then stepped in to stand up to the men while Erica
called her bigger brother. During that whole ordeal there were many bystanders who did not lend a
hand. Later that day, Lisa went to go meet her aunt Trudy when she told her that If you were some
little white girl, that would be true, but you re a mouthy Indian, and everyone thinks we re born sluts.
Those guys would have said you were asking for it and hot off scot free (Robinson, 255). Although
Lisa was just trying to protect her friend, no one decided to stand up to the white men and help a
teenage girl although there were many people watching. This displays the inequality that the regular
man feels towards the Indians. Furthermore, when Lisa s aunt Trudy was just a small teenager herself,
Lisa s grandmother was forced to send her away to a residential school because she was an Indian.
Trudy did not realize this and put her blame and hate on her mother cause a rift between her and her
mother. If Indian children were allowed to go to regular public schools and had equality between
different ways of life, the fissure between a mother and a daughter would not have been created.
Along with that Eden Robinson also fought for the equality for

How can Thailand Successfully Become the Top Culinary...
Thailand itself has a strong potential to be the top culinary tourism destination. According to the
inadequate of promoting, good management and marketing strategy by both public and government
sectors, culinary tourism in Thailand is not well known as a top tourist destination. The proliferation
of promoting for Thai gastronomy through any kinds of tools could be a crucial key to attract Thai
food culture in the heart of culinary tourists. Furthermore, understanding culinary tourists behaviors
and motivation factors help Thailand create truly culinary experiences for culinary tourists.

The Overview of Culinary Tourism A variety of terms have been used to express the relationship
between food and tourism: culinary tourism, cuisine tourism and gastronomic tourism. To indicate the
definition of those words, cuisine is defined as style of food preparation in effect, styles of cookery.
Cuisine does not mean for cooking only but applying to other activities in the scope of culinary
includes ingredients, prepared foods, beverages, food production, motivations, activities, institutional
structures, and tourism. Culinary as the adjective form of cuisine means kitchen in Latin (culina). This
term seems to be focused on the actual practice (e.g. culinary utensil ) denotes styles of food
preparation and consumption as well as the social context in which food is acquired and prepared for
sharing (Ignatov Smith, 2006, p.237 238). Gastronomy is involved in the enjoyment of good food and
beverages as a part of an affluent or aesthetically superior lifestyle and concerned the total
consumption of the meal (Gillespie, 2001).
Culinary Tourism recently becomes trend in tourism industry and explores new cultures through food.
It is defined as traveling for food, traveling through food, eating out of curiosity, or integrating food
into tourism. Moreover, culinary tourism can denote distinctive destination sites, such as restaurants,
vineyards, and original home of a particular food or type of tourism that

Advantages Of Top Up Budgeting
QUESTION 1 In developing an annual budget accompanies may choose to adopt either top down
budgeting approach or bottom up budgeting approach. In the finance ministry bottom down budgeting
was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in the 1990s as a
motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other countries. Top down
budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit efficiently unlike bottom up
budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc
actively use top down budgeting because it helps in getting information for the evaluation of new
initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down
budgeting approach because of the series of huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that
top down budgeting saved them. Top down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear
unlike bottom down budgeting which is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has
delegated authority to take care of the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time
consuming. Bottom up approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry
analysis unlike top down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal
analysis. In top down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike
bottom up approach where the ownership proposal is specific. We are able to see that top down
budgeting is more advantageous to use in budgeting approach. Countries like Netherlands, Chile and
Canada have independent bodies for economic forecast. Since Top down budgeting successes is seen

Stereotypes Of Wonder Women
In what ways does Pattie Jenkins 2017 Wonder Woman eschew superhero stereotypes and present a
strong female narrative?
Although superhero movies have become some of the most popular and successful movie instalments
of the 21st century most of these movies have been about men and focused on their trials and triumphs
while also creating and perpetrating negative stereotypes of women. The female superhero movie falls
into one of three categories: the victim, the tomboy and the bombshell. In the first category the victim
constantly finds herself at the centre of trouble and requires the main man in the movie to swoop in
and save her, she is a passive and weak character. The bombshell tends to be highly sexualised,

Voting Rights Act of 1965 Essay
The history of gerrymandering started during the term of Elbridge Gerry, the Governor of
Massachusetts, when he approved an obscure redistricting plan ahead of the 1812 elections that helped
Republicans hold on to power in the legislature. One of the redistricted districts that primarily
consisted of a one party defendant was shaped as a salamander, which later gave rise to this political
term (Keck, 2010). The term relates to the drawing of the boundaries of electoral districts in a way that
gives one party an unfair advantage over its rivals, which gives rise to the disproportionate
representation of Democratic and Republican parties (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2013). Historically,
both parties have used this form of redistricting to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Supreme Court reversed the ruling and held that bipartisan gerrymanders are constitutionally
acceptable.
In Davis v. Bandemer (1986), the Supreme Court held that partisan gerrymandering violated the Equal
Protection Clause, but the court couldn t agree on the appropriate constitutional standard against
which legality claims of partisan gerrymandering should and should not be evaluated. Justice White
said that partisan gerrymandering occurred when a redistricting was enacted with the both the intent
and the effect of discriminating against an identifiable political group. Justices Powell and Stevens
said that partisan gerrymandering should be based on multiple factors, such as electoral district shape,
adherence to local government boundaries. Justices O Connor, Burger, and Rehnquist disagreed and
held that such claims should be dismissed (Issacharoff, Karlan, Pildes, pp. 777 779).
Gerrymandering is often compared to redistricting which is supposed to achieve equality in districts
voting power, so called one person, one vote requirement. In the U.S. redistricting happens every 10
years to account for changes in population, so the votes will be worth the same amount (The James
Irvine Foundation ). Gerrymandering is based on the wasting or weakening of votes of what is usually
the minority

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Fpta
This chapter presents about the FPGA ideas and FPGA Synthesis Flow. An FPGA is a device that
comprises of thousands or even large number of transistors connected to implement logic functions.
They implement functions from simple addition and subtraction to complex digital filtering and error
detection and its correction.
4.1 INTRODUCTION TO FPGA
A field programmable gate array (FPGA) is a semiconductor device that can be designed by the
designer or the customer after manufacturing, hence it is known as field programmable . Field
Programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are truly innovatory devices that combine the benefits of both
hardware and software. FPGAs are programmed with the logic circuit diagram or the source code in
Hardware Description Language (HDL) to determine how the chip will work. They may be used to
perform any logical function that an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) might perform but
the capacity to update the functionality after shipping provides advantages for many applications.
FPGAs contain programmable logic components also called logic blocks , and a hierarchy of
reconfigurable interconnects that permit the blocks to be wired together like a 1 chip programmable
breadboard. Logic blocks can be designed to implement complex combinational functions or simply
logic gates like AND and OR. In most FPGAs, the logic block also consists of memory elements,
which can be simple flip flops or complete blocks of memory. They perform circuits just like
hardware performing huge area, power and performance advantages over software, still can be
programmed again economically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

who I made these instructions for for Doing this can help a person better organize their linen closet
and hopefully lower the anxiety of folding a fitted sheet neatly. If you have ever folded a fitted sheet
than you may be aware that they are a challenge to fold. Objective This process is intended to help the

thought would be easy to dictate and something that most people would be able to do at home. Little
to my surprise, telling someone via text and pictures how to fold a fitted sheet was very challenging. I
can imagine that when people publish directions they have a team of people look over them at first. I
feel that in order to have good concise directions, it would be best to have as many people review
them before they are published. With that said, this assignment was useful to myself and I learned

Discrimination In To Kill A Mockingbird
INTERTEXTUAL STUDY
Compare the ways in which the authors of both texts explore the idea of racism
Racism has been a major problem in the world for hundreds of years and it has never been resolved
nor it will never be resolved.
Harper Lee s 1960 novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, and Joel Schumacher s 1996 film, A Time To Kill,
both share similarities in the way racism is explored throughout both texts.
Racial violence and discrimination are two major themes that are depicted within both texts, but the
most important theme overall is the acceptance between the two races which is shown in both texts.
To Kill A Mockingbird and A Time To Kill are two very similar texts that share the same plot and the
same meaning.
Both texts explore the idea if racism through the theme of racial violence.

Racial discrimination is the main type of discrimination throughout the novel when compared with
class or gender.
The primary example of discrimination in the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, is when Tom Robinson, a
black man is wrongly accused of rape and assault on Mayella, a white woman.
When in court with Attics, a white lawyer, defending Robinson, the blacks were to be seated on the
top level of the courtroom to show that they were not important and that their opinion doesn t matter.
Discrimination is also shown in the film, A Time To Kill, when, again, in the courtroom blacks were to

Not only is discrimination shown in the courtroom, but also in the town.
For example, the two races were living on different sides of the town, blacks were not allowed to
associate with whites let alone touch them or nearly look at them.
Lee and Schumacher provide evidence that shows discrimination as being a major theme used
throughout both texts.
Acceptance was an important theme shown in both

The Border Cities Of El Paso And Ciudad Juarez
Along the Texas/Mexico border there are many border cities, and among the border cities there is a
trend that points to an advantage of prosperity on the US side compared to the Mexican side of the
border. The border cities of El Paso and Ciudad Juarez show an example of the US advantage over the
Mexican side; El Paso is a Texas city on the Texas/Mexico border, and in 2014 it was the city with the
lowest crime rate in the US ; Ciudad Juarez, on the other hand was known as one of the deadliest cities
in Mexico . Along with the differences in crime rates, El Paso and Ciudad Juarez have many
differences that make them clear examples of the advantage that Texas border cities hold over
Mexican border cities.
Crime
In 2010, Ciudad Juarez was one of the most violent cities in all of Mexico with 3,057 murders .
Ciudad Juarez became an example of the extent of the drug war that was occurring in Mexico in the
2000s. Death had become a common occurrence in Ciudad Juarez. At the height of the drug war in
Mexico, between the years of 2007 and 2012, around 11,078 people were murdered in Ciudad Juarez .
In contrast to Ciudad Juarez, El Paso had the lowest crime rate in the US in 2014 . According to the
Neighborhood Scout website s interactive map, crime rates in the city of El Paso are for the most part
low, but near the border there is a high crime rate. The higher crime rate found along the border is
probably due to the ongoing drug trade and illegal immigration that occurs along the

A New Product Line Of Cedar Dollhouses And The Ceo Of The...
Introduction The ABC Company is looking to add a new product line of cedar dollhouses and the
CEO of the company is trying to decide if it can be afforded. The purpose of this paper will be to
determine if the ABC Company can afford to add the new product line of cedar dollhouses. The paper
will discuss the cash flow of the business, risk factors involved in adding a new product line, and
possible depreciation. Finally, the paper will recommend whether the CEO is making a worthy
business decision.
Risk Analysis First we will discuss the overall risk profile of the company based on current economic
and industry issues. The economic issues the company may face includes a potential rise in raw
materials. This could make it difficult to determine the cost of production for one unit. Industry issues
the company may face include developing the new product and employee loss. The company has to
develop the new product which is a trial and error process; the market for this product may also be
filled causing the product to fail. The company also plans to use the same facility, equipment, and staff
which will definitely mean added expenses and a risk of losing employees.
Cash Flow Analysis A cash flow statement represents a compilation of all operating, investing, and
financing activities that cause a change in cash (Wainwright, 2012). The cash flow statement is
primarily used to get an idea of what the company s total financing and investing activities look like.

The importance of obtaining a college degree has been heavily stressed in society. For many students,
their high school careers act as the prerequisite for higher education at a university. To them, college
brings about opportunities for better lifestyles and higher roles in society. However, the high costs of
college tuition keeps some students wondering if it is truly the right path to take. Although some argue
that the relationship between a college education and success will become more and more significant

Mindfulness Meditation In Public Schools
CONCERNS
There is increased interest toward mindfulness meditation, particularly in education. A number of
school programs have emerged claiming improvements in the following areas: executive functions,
prosociality, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing (Broderick and Frank, 2014; Flook et al.
2010; Schonert Reichl and Lawlor, 2010). Oddly, very few risks were reported in the studies. In a
systematic review of twenty four mindfulness based school interventions, overall results show
students either benefited from the interventions or gained no effect. Negligible negative effects were
reported (Zenner, Herrnleben Kurz and Walach, 2014). It is important to consider the identification
and detection of undesirable outcomes, as well ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, a Vancouver father launched a petition calling for the withdrawal of all meditation
programs from public schools alleging that such programs, imposed on children, violate their freedom
of religion (Chwartkowski, 2016). However, Canda and Furnam (as cited in Napoli et al. 2005)) claim
that the practices of mindfulness meditation, such as mindful breathing, are compatible with all
religious beliefs.
CONCLUSION
This essay has looked at the relationship between mindfulness and optimal functioning in the school
setting and used the PROSPER framework proposed by Noble and McGrath (2015), as it illustrates
effectively the many dimensions of student flourishing.
In a world of fast paced and instant communication, it is necessary to teach children and teens to stop
and be quiet, and the most propitious times to do so are in the periods of life where brain plasticity is
higher, namely, early childhood and adolescence (Galla, Kaiser Greenland and Black, 2016).
Mindfulness interventions show promise as a cost effective strategy to promote both academic success
and wellbeing in children and adolescents, as any increase in self control and executive functions,
even small, may yield bigger outcomes over the years (Moffitt et al.

My Passion In Computer Science
I still remember the day, I first used a computer at my uncle s house in the summer of 2000. As a boy
of 8, I was astonished to see the interaction between a television like object and some keys. From that
day, I believe, deep passion for computer grew inside me. A few years later when I got acquainted
with the internet, Computer Science became my most favorite topic. Being amazed by the potentiality
of the internet, I attended a Web Development course after completing high school. Since then I took
Web Development seriously, committed myself to it and decided to study Computer Science.
From the very beginning of undergraduate studies, I have been one of the most excellent programmers
of my class. Programming and related courses seemed much more interesting than others to me.
Specifically, Programming Languages, Programming Language Structure, Compiler Design courses
helped me to have a solid understanding of different types of programming languages and their
insights. Besides, I learned to organize any problem into small parts and solve any problem much
efficiently from Data Structure and Algorithm course. Alongside academic studies, I also got myself
involved in professional Web Development and extra curricular activities. I found particular interest in
Front end Development. To push my limits further, I also started participating in different apps

Alcohol consumption is a leading cause of traffic fatalities and injuries. During the past decade,
annual fatalities in drunk driving accidents ranged from 13,582 deaths in 2005 to 9,865 deaths in
2011. The most recent data report a total of 9,967 such fatalities in 2014 on average, one death every
53 minutes. Our cases have long recognized the carnage and slaughter caused by drunk drivers. The

Essay On The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari
When one thinks of Germany, he or she would most likely think of Nazi propaganda, Hitler, and
concentration camps. Although these depictions of Germany may be true, they are relatively closed
minded because they only depict a single, relatively dark time period in Germany s history called the
Third Reich. The time periods which portray Germany from the twentieth century to present day are
quite diverse, and German films respective to each time period reflect that diversity. The time periods
include the Weimar Republic, the Third Reich, Germany during the Cold War, and Germany post Cold
War. Therefore, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari portrays Germany s Weimar Republic, Triumph of the

The German mark lost almost all of its value due to inflation, the debt Germany owed to Allied
Powers increased exponentially, and Germany had to liquidate its military. Even though Germany was
falling apart in the year 1919, there was still hope as it miraculously birthed the Weimar Republic,
which lasted until 1933. During this time period, the true state of its people and country were
portrayed through film. One of the most iconic films of the Weimar Republic, The Cabinet of Dr.
Caligari, was released in 1919. This mysterious, yet incredibly confusing film embodied the anxiety
and uncertainty felt by German citizens during the Weimar Republic. Specifically anxiety related to
current and future chaos, and uncertainty related to sanity. In The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the
protagonist Francis narrates a past experience of his in which he ends up wrongfully locked up in a
psychiatric ward. In this past experience, a man introduced as the somnambulist Dr. Caligari
controlled a man named Cesare, and had Cesare kill people of his choosing. Trying to expose Dr.
Caligari s acts, Francis ends up being locked up in a psychiatric ward. What is odd is that Dr. Caligari
is then shown as the doctor running the psychiatric ward, trying to help Francis with his condition.
The duality of Dr. Caligari symbolized uncertainty and chaos experienced by Germans after World
War I. Like the audience of the film, Germans questioned who was or was not sane. Would the search
for and desire and control by an authoritative figure, like Dr. Caligari, remove the chaos Germans felt?
Or, would that control lead to worse chaos in the

Electric Cars Essay
You shower, brush your teeth, turn off the lights and plug in your...car. This seems like an estranged
concept but will be or at least should be a reality for most motorists. Electric cars are a better means of
transportation than gasoline powered cars, due to the fact that they save you money in multiple ways,
help combat global warming and boost a country s economy.
To begin with, electric cars are better for the planet. They decrease the emission of greenhouse gases
and increase air quality. Initially, the emissions free quality of EVs also stems from the design of the
motor. It is powered by a process called induction which uses electric and magnetic forces to make the
motor spin. This way there is no combustion reaction that would

Also, the state of Colorado offers $6,000 worth of tax credit for the owner of a new EV (Gorzelany). It
is said that EVs are often more expensive but considering savings made from maintenance, energy and
compensation expenses; an EV is a good investment. The two main points discussed will create an
interest and incentive to allow the following point to become reality.
At last, the point that will most likely spur people to change their mode of transportation is that EVs
help countries economies. The need for the manufacture of electric cars and the installment of a
charging infrastructure will create jobs. In response to critics who say that petrol factory will be left
jobless, that is not the case because these workers will often be the same ones who will work on EVs;
these automotive industry workers have the necessary skills to build all kinds of vehicles regardless of
a change in the drivetrain. Not only will the manufacturing require a large workforce but also the
construction, maintenance, and operation of charging stations: Recent electric vehicle penetration
brings the necessity of a high number of charging stations (YAGCITEKIN, UZUNOGLU, and
KARAKAS).
All in all, there is insurmountable evidence pointing to the idea that electric vehicles are the superior
alternative to petrol vehicles and that they should be peoples new form of transport. Car

Arrow Paradox Baby Bash
Artist: Baby Bash
Song: In Motion
Lyric: I m in motion/Sippin love potion
Topic: Arrow Paradox
The concept of arrow paradox claims that when objects occupy an equal space at rest and locomotion
is constant at the moment; then a flying arrow will be declared to be motionless. Zeno claims that at
any instant an object is motionless because it cannot move to a place that it is not due to the fact that
time has not elapsed. On the other hand, an object cannot move to where the object already is because
that would create a paradox, seeing as the object is already there. It is impossible to observe any form
of motion when the time is paused. Furthermore, if space is occupied by the objects then also the
arrow should be dormant. Thus, the entire elaboration of this notion creates a fallacy. One can
conclude form the arrow paradox that motion is impossible because everything is motionless at each
instant, and time in essence is the sum of many instances. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are multiple lyrics in the song referring to how someone or something is in motion: I m in

position in which it occupies, therefore, in a given moment a flying arrow, for example, is motionless;
The lyric from In Motion can be related in the sense that at the given moment when the artist is
conveying the message that he/she is in motion, they are actually motionless, because at any given
moment an object or person in motionless. Furthermore, at any given moment, the love potion is
motionless, which would make it impossible for the subject of the song to be

Mahler s 8th Symphony
In June 1906, 46 year old Gustav Mahler was struck with inspiration unlike any he had ever had in his
life. With this inspiration, he composed his Eighth Symphony in less than two months. Dedicated to
My dear wife, Alma Maria and known as Mahler s search for redemption , this symphony was the first
of Mahler s works to be an overwhelming success.
Mahler s Eighth Symphony connected two choral pieces, Veni, Creator Spiritus (early 9th century)
and Goethe s Faust, Part II (1830 1831). These two works were written one thousand years apart, so
one would think that the works have very little, if anything, in common. Veni, Creator Spiritus is a
Latin Pentecost hymn. Mahler used the final scene of Faust, Part II, in which a solution is presented ...

Could Gustav Mahler, a composer that had not composed a triumphantly successful piece in his

Jean Jacques Rousseau Moral Inequality
Inequality is unjustifiable. I will argue about inequality in this paper that how it is unjustifiable even if
inequality is benefiting both, a symbiotic relation, but is disproportion. I will argue about this
statement based on two points citing the literature and giving analogy about inequality. But before that
let me state what Jean Jacques Rousseau thought of inequality.
Inequality is of two types, as per philosopher, Rousseau: physical/natural and moral. Natural
inequality consists of genetic differences, value differences, random chance, health, age, intelligence
and initial circumstances in which one is born. Moral inequality stems from arbitrary molding of
society and individuals from man made conventions and rules. Moral inequality ... Show more content

This inequality that leads to welfare of one set of people at the expense of others can be called vital
inequality. However, hard evidence is piling up that health and longevity are distributed with clearly
visible social patterns. Children in poor countries and poor classes die more often before the age of
one, and between the age of one and five, than children in rich countries and rich classes, notes Goran.
He goes on to mention the case of UK, Low status people in Britain die more often before retirement
age than high status people, and if they survive have shorter lives in retirement. A retired British male
bank or insurance employee, for instance, can look forward to seven to eight more years of retirement
life than a retired employee of Whitbread or Tesco (Financial Times, 20/21.10.07). Is this not
unjustifiable that few rich people or societies who can intervene and remove the inequality of life and
health continue to justify their selfish on logical grounds ? This kind of inequality has to be regulated
at all costs, because health and life are more important value added products and luxuries rich

modern day life.
An example of modern day people being influenced is the ancient Romans building bridges. In the
contributions of rome The Romans were the ones to build bridges so they could get across waters to
fight their enemies in battle. If the Romans hadn t built bridges we wouldn t have any way to get

The way that they transitioned to different characters looked completely natural, every time they
would put on a new mask and costume they were becoming that character which really set the mood, a
prime example of this was when the doctor (Dottore) who is a smart yet confused old man noticed that
the students in the other room was looking at him, and in turn he began to talk to them and describing
how they appear to be in a fishbowl.
Even though Commedia dell Arte is a rather old style of theatre Clint and Ben were able to modernise
it by adding multiple elements which can be considered normal within teenage life. Things like using
words like lol , yolo and talking about general things like Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. Which made
the performance relatable for the audience which inturn was hilarious.
Like with all dramatic performances most pf the time there is a backdrop of some sort. What Ben and
Clint used was a basic yet classic backdrop that featured portraits of the two masters. Which gave the
set a classy feel to it. In comparison the props that was used was also of the basic functionality which
in this style of theatre worked quite well due to the other elements being so refined a key example of
this was when they used a basic wig for the lovers scene, even though the wig fell off a couple of
times Ben and Clint continued to make the scene believable through voice and movement.

Swot Analysis For General Motors
Analysis
The SWOT analysis highlighted the following as the main drivers of change for General Motors
1.2.1. Internal Drivers
The high salaries and wages for employees and the large number of workforce prompted GM to
change its cost structure to make it more labor cost competitive. Toyota was paying its employees $44
for an hour while GM was paying its workers $74 per hour. Workers were also let go and a lot of
unprofitable brands were shut down due to the high cost factor. The rigid linear structure also made
innovation, flexibility and motivation very difficult so the organization s structure, leadership and
culture was changed to accommodate that.

Launching the movement
Previously establishing cultural change in GM had been like forcing to impose something on an
extremely bureaucratic organization. The cultural changes were top down. Each division competed
amongst themselves. There were times when the senior management resisted change and there were
times when the workforce was against it. This time around however, cultural change was easier and
swifter due to the near death experience of bankruptcy (Smerd, 2009). Employees and management
alike collaborated because they knew that things could not operate like they did formerly. The cultural
change was also focused on the base, middle and senior levels instead of simply establishing a top
down cultural change approach. According to CEO Fritz Henderson, this time around, GM made
cultural changes at speeds not ever seen before (Smerd, 2009). All layers of bureaucracy was removed
and replaced with a single 8 person committee which led to more focus, effectiveness and efficiency.
The new culture also implemented an open door policy to bring transparency into the organization and
made use of focus groups to gain more knowledge about their

Friedrich Von s And The Revolutionary War
Friedrich Von Steuben
Friedrich Wilhelm August Heinrich Ferdinand Steuben, also known as Friedrich Von Steuben or Baron
Von Steuben, was born on September 17, 1730 in Magdeburg Fortress. There were many individuals
who were great historical figures during the Revolutionary War. Friedrich Von Steuben was one of
those influential figures. He was famous for being a Prussian officer, writing the Revolutionary War
Drill Manual, and his dedication to training the Continental Army. Just as his father did, Friedrich Von
Steuben was a prussian officer when he was only 17 years old. Friedrich Von Steuben s time as a
prussian officer was very eventful. In the May of 1756 the Seven Years War had began in Europe, and
Von Steuben had become a second lieutenant. Despite Baron Von Steuben being wounded and the
Prussian Army being outnumbered 2 to 1, the Prussian army still won the Battle of Prague. He served
as a principal staff officer and an adjutant to General Johann von Mayer during a special detached
corps in 1758. He was promoted to first lieutenant and was wounded at the Battle of Kunersdorf in
1759. Baron Von Steuben served as a staff officer in the position of a deputy quartermaster when he
was transferred to general headquarters. Soon after this he was taken as a prisoner when Major
General Von Knoblock surrendered at Treptow. After a year in prison he was released and promoted to
captain. His work was so credible he became an aide de camp to Frederick the Great. After this

The Social Influences of the Visual Entertainment Media
American culture has a bi directional relationship with the visual media, in which expressions in
television and film manifest in society but social norms also manifest on the screen. Therefore, visual
media in the United States actually has the potential to alter social norms and interactions. The
television shows that were popular in the 1950s and early 1960s reflect the conservative family values
that were popular at that time in American history. The Brady Bunch, for example, shows a happy go
lucky white family, and highlights the suburban American dream. More contemporary shows show
how American social values and norms have evolved since the 1950s. In Will and Grace, gay
characters feature prominently to reflect the fact that Americans are coming out of the closet and
staying out. There are ample examples of how television reflects social norms, while actively working
to shape those norms as well.
For instance, the 1980s show The Cosby Show was one in which the middle class African American
family was portrayed for the first time on television. The production was a deliberate attempt to teach
new values that would help eliminate the standard stereotypes of African Americans that do not fit into
the white dominant culture. By producing The Cosby Show, Bill Cosby and other entertainers were
actively shaping the values and worldviews of Americans. In a more direct way, children s television
shows on PBS such as Sesame Street are written so that characters convey

Misunderstanding and deception in Much Ado About Nothing are key themes in the play. In
Elizabethan times the word Nothing was pronounced Noting and so the title would have given the

misunderstanding and deception. Instances of misunderstanding are very often simple mistakes.
Misunderstanding means having an erroneous interpretation of the truth. Deception is to intentionally

It seems that these scornful words are more than just a way to hook Beatrice into feeling sorry for

This study has been conducted in order to obtain some extra information regarding credit retrieval
from banks. We have collected data from 120 people which have contracted bank loans, by asking
them to answer our questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of 15 interconnected questions we
consider relevant and might help interpret the results better.
In a loan, the borrower initially receives an amount of money, called the principal, from the lender,
and is obligated to pay back or repay an equal amount of money to the lender at a later time. The loan
is generally provided at a cost, referred to as interest on the debt, which provides an incentive for the

Children seem to play a major role in the decision of getting a bank loan of a person or couple. Out of
the selected persons, only 27 did not have any children and most of them were in our youngest age
group, fact that is understanble considering the implications that raising a child has. Most people had
one or two children, but there were two cases in which the person had more than three children.

2.5. Education level
As expected, the education level had a major impact on the number of loans accesed. The wining
category was the bachelor degree one, as people from this group have a higher level of education and
are prone to have better jobs, thus having more chances in receiving a loan from a bank. Furthermore,
they are the ones that require more money for investments, which usually comes from banks. The
sutyd revealed that 67 people with a bachelor degree had a loan, thus more than 50% of the total

On the other hand, there were 23 people who had finished high school and responded positive,
showing that loans for personal needs attract customers.

Ozzy Osbourne Suicide Solution Analysis
Music has a powerful influence in our lives. It is something that surrounds us every day; it has become
so attached to us that we use it as inspiration, to feel relaxed, comfortable and sometimes we make
decisions led by the type of music we are listening in that instant. During the time Ozzy Osbourne has
released many pieces of music containing very contentious messages, which is the case of Suicide
Solution . In result of this piece of music, there were some tragical deaths, making Suicide Solution to
become controversial.
The song was released on September 20, 1980. But its outcomes did not wait too long and four years
later Osbourne was in the eye of the hurricane. On October 26, 1984, a 19 years old American named
John McCollum shot himself in his bedroom while listening to Osbourne s songs. His parents pointed
out that the song Suicide Solution had encouraged him to commit suicide. The police reported that the
solo debut Blizzard of Osbourne was found on McCollum s turntable and they said that the last song
he had listened was Suicide Solution . He shot himself and he was found still wearing his headphones.
John s parent sued Osbourne in October 1985; they sued him and his record company. But the case
was dismissed in August 1986. When this happened, John s parents tried to bring even more attention
to the case. They said that the song contained themes of devil worship and death, they used as

How Does Oscar Wilde Conform To Society
John Lahr, a critic of the famous author and playwright Oscar Wilde, once claimed, To stand out in
Victorian culture,Wilde had to stand against it. Wilde definitely did not conform to the society by
which he was surrounded; being an aesthetic homosexual was not the typical or ideal Victorian man.
His distaste for the era he lived in is seen clearly in his humorous play The Importance of Being
Earnest. Wilde was personally judged and outcasted by his own society, which caused him to mock his
audience and argue that the Victorian Era was not as virtuous as those of that time attempted to appear.
He uses this piece of writing as an opportunity to not only stand against and disprove the Victorian
ideals, but to persuade his audience to realize ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Choosing a humourous style of writing allows him to attack the Victorian ideals without being too
offensive. Simply watching the play won t tell the audience his true purpose in writing this script; after
analyzing his writing, it can be seen that his tone in the play furthers his argument against the era. The
audience is watching a play that is a direct mocking of them without realizing it immediately. The title
of the play itself reads The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People. Not
only is it a comedy, but it is meant for serious people, meaning the people of the Victorian Era. Being
so caught up in their morals or standards allowed them no time for humor and fun. The need to be a
typical Victorian citizen overpowered their ability to enjoy being themselves. Again, this leads back to
the idea of how people had to conform and change in order to fit the mold of the Victorian person.
Furthermore, Wilde s work can be referred to as a satire, meaning that Wilde uses his humor to mock
the vacuities of this time (Niederhoff). Beyond his style of writing, Wilde s choice in characters also
allows an emotional connection to form between the audience and play. Having roles that represent
people the audience could relate to allows them to attach themselves to the characters they are
watching. Both the male and female roles of this play are similar to the average

where the enemy is? Listen children, the lord wants us to stay in here and be quiet for awhile. We are
going to have dinner and then go to bed. My mother looked at all of us with worried eyes. It seems

However, the fact that humans have lots of other senses than this, such as a sense of balance for example. This other sensory input ensures that we have an abundant flow of information from the environment to our minds. Therefore, we can say that our entire experience of reality is nothing but a combination of sensory information and our brains sense making mechanisms for that particular information. It stands to reason then, that if you can present your senses with given information, your perception of reality would also change in response to it. We build ourselves out of that story (Patrick RuthFuss). When a baby is brought into this world, the only piece of identity it attains from its mother and father is its name. The rest of the way through life, that person which has been given life, has to find their own path and their own identity. Although parents teach very dignified lessons of values, it is up to him/her to establish if they want to adopt the ideals of his/her parents. Lisa Hill from Monkey Beach (Eden Robinson) goes through the same dilemma that every child that becomes a teenager goes through, the search for identity. In Monkey Beach, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lisa Hill has confronted many different forms of inequality throughout the novel. Lisa was walking through a strip mall in a part of town called Terrace when she saw her friend Erica being chased by a car full of white men verbally harassing her. Lisa then stepped in to stand up to the men while Erica called her bigger brother. During that whole ordeal there were many bystanders who did not lend a hand. Later that day, Lisa went to go meet her aunt Trudy when she told her that If you were some little white girl, that would be true, but you re a mouthy Indian, and everyone thinks we re born sluts. Those guys would have said you were asking for it and hot off scot free (Robinson, 255). Although Lisa was just trying to protect her friend, no one decided to stand up to the white men and help a teenage girl although there were many people watching. This displays the inequality that the regular man feels towards the Indians. Furthermore, when Lisa s aunt Trudy was just a small teenager herself, Lisa s grandmother was forced to send her away to a residential school because she was an Indian. Trudy did not realize this and put her blame and hate on her mother cause a rift between her and her mother. If Indian children were allowed to go to regular public schools and had equality between different ways of life, the fissure between a mother and a daughter would not have been created. Along with that Eden Robinson also fought for the equality for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Advantages Of Top Up Budgeting QUESTION 1 In developing an annual budget accompanies may choose to adopt either top down budgeting approach or bottom up budgeting approach. In the finance ministry bottom down budgeting was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in the 1990s as a motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other countries. Top down budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit efficiently unlike bottom up budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc actively use top down budgeting because it helps in getting information for the evaluation of new initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down budgeting approach because of the series of huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that top down budgeting saved them. Top down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear unlike bottom down budgeting which is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has delegated authority to take care of the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time consuming. Bottom up approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry analysis unlike top down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal analysis. In top down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike bottom up approach where the ownership proposal is specific. We are able to see that top down budgeting is more advantageous to use in budgeting approach. Countries like Netherlands, Chile and Canada have independent bodies for economic forecast. Although superhero movies have become some of the most popular and successful movie instalments of the 21st century most of these movies have been about men and focused on their trials and triumphs while also creating and perpetrating negative stereotypes of women. The female superhero movie falls into one of three categories: the victim, the tomboy and the bombshell. • 9. Voting Rights Act of 1965 Essay The history of gerrymandering started during the term of Elbridge Gerry, the Governor of Massachusetts, when he approved an obscure redistricting plan ahead of the 1812 elections that helped Republicans hold on to power in the legislature. One of the redistricted districts that primarily consisted of a one party defendant was shaped as a salamander, which later gave rise to this political term (Keck, 2010). The term relates to the drawing of the boundaries of electoral districts in a way that gives one party an unfair advantage over its rivals, which gives rise to the disproportionate representation of Democratic and Republican parties (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2013). Historically, both parties have used this form of redistricting to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Supreme Court reversed the ruling and held that bipartisan gerrymanders are constitutionally acceptable. In Davis v. Bandemer (1986), the Supreme Court held that partisan gerrymandering violated the Equal Protection Clause, but the court couldn t agree on the appropriate constitutional standard against which legality claims of partisan gerrymandering should and should not be evaluated. Justice White said that partisan gerrymandering occurred when a redistricting was enacted with the both the intent and the effect of discriminating against an identifiable political group. Justices Powell and Stevens said that partisan gerrymandering should be based on multiple factors, such as electoral district shape, adherence to local government boundaries. Justices O Connor, Burger, and Rehnquist disagreed and held that such claims should be dismissed (Issacharoff, Karlan, Pildes, pp. 777 779). Gerrymandering is often compared to redistricting which is supposed to achieve equality in districts voting power, so called one person, one vote requirement. In the U.S. redistricting happens every 10 years to account for changes in population, so the votes will be worth the same amount (The James Irvine Foundation ). • 10. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Fpta This chapter presents about the FPGA ideas and FPGA Synthesis Flow. An FPGA is a device that comprises of thousands or even large number of transistors connected to implement logic functions. They implement functions from simple addition and subtraction to complex digital filtering and error detection and its correction. 4.1 INTRODUCTION TO FPGA A field programmable gate array (FPGA) is a semiconductor device that can be designed by the designer or the customer after manufacturing, hence it is known as field programmable . Field Programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are truly innovatory devices that combine the benefits of both hardware and software. FPGAs are programmed with the logic circuit diagram or the source code in Hardware Description Language (HDL) to determine how the chip will work. They may be used to perform any logical function that an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) might perform but the capacity to update the functionality after shipping provides advantages for many applications. FPGAs contain programmable logic components also called logic blocks , and a hierarchy of reconfigurable interconnects that permit the blocks to be wired together like a 1 chip programmable breadboard. During this time period, the true state of its people and country were portrayed through film. One of the most iconic films of the Weimar Republic, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, was released in 1919. This mysterious, yet incredibly confusing film embodied the anxiety and uncertainty felt by German citizens during the Weimar Republic. Specifically anxiety related to current and future chaos, and uncertainty related to sanity. In The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the protagonist Francis narrates a past experience of his in which he ends up wrongfully locked up in a psychiatric ward. In this past experience, a man introduced as the somnambulist Dr. Caligari controlled a man named Cesare, and had Cesare kill people of his choosing. Trying to expose Dr. Caligari s acts, Francis ends up being locked up in a psychiatric ward. What is odd is that Dr. Caligari is then shown as the doctor running the psychiatric ward, trying to help Francis with his condition. The duality of Dr. Caligari symbolized uncertainty and chaos experienced by Germans after World War I. Like the audience of the film, Germans questioned who was or was not sane. Arrow Paradox Baby Bash Artist: Baby Bash Song: In Motion Lyric: I m in motion/Sippin love potion Topic: Arrow Paradox The concept of arrow paradox claims that when objects occupy an equal space at rest and locomotion is constant at the moment; then a flying arrow will be declared to be motionless. Zeno claims that at any instant an object is motionless because it cannot move to a place that it is not due to the fact that time has not elapsed. On the other hand, an object cannot move to where the object already is because that would create a paradox, seeing as the object is already there. It is impossible to observe any form of motion when the time is paused. Furthermore, if space is occupied by the objects then also the arrow should be dormant. Inequality is of two types, as per philosopher, Rousseau: physical/natural and moral. Therefore, visual media in the United States actually has the potential to alter social norms and interactions. The television shows that were popular in the 1950s and early 1960s reflect the conservative family values that were popular at that time in American history. The Brady Bunch, for example, shows a happy go lucky white family, and highlights the suburban American dream. More contemporary shows show how American social values and norms have evolved since the 1950s. In Will and Grace, gay characters feature prominently to reflect the fact that Americans are coming out of the closet and staying out. There are ample examples of how television reflects social norms, while actively working to shape those norms as well. For instance, the 1980s show The Cosby Show was one in which the middle class African American family was portrayed for the first time on television. The production was a deliberate attempt to teach new values that would help eliminate the standard stereotypes of African Americans that do not fit into the white dominant culture. By producing The Cosby Show, Bill Cosby and other entertainers were actively shaping the values and worldviews of Americans. In a more direct way, children s television shows on PBS such as Sesame Street are written so that characters convey ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Ibo had heard myths about the white men which lead to their initial fear. The quote But I am greatly afraid. We have heard stories about white men who made the powerful guns and strong drinks and took slaves across the seas, but no one thought the stories were true. was Okonkwo s friend Obierika discussing the fear that he now had of the white men, after learning stories about their practices. This illustrates how fear can lead to the crumbling of society because when the Ibo fear the white men and the uncertain myths they have heard about them, it leads to submission through fear of a superior power. ... An exploration of the use Shakespeare makes of misunderstanding and deception in the play Much Ado About Nothing Misunderstanding and deception in Much Ado About Nothing are key themes in the play. In Elizabethan times the word Nothing was pronounced Noting and so the title would have given the audience the initial clue that in this play the importance of noting, spying, appearance and eavesdropping will cause trouble throughout. It is important to define the difference between misunderstanding and deception. Instances of misunderstanding are very often simple mistakes. Misunderstanding means having an erroneous interpretation of the truth. Deception is to intentionally mislead or provide untruthful information. Benedick is the ... This criticism has also ensured Benedick s silence so neither he nor Beatrice will suspect the gulling. Hero also criticises Beatrice and condemns her attitudes towards Benedick and towards love. Hero is much more scathing towards Beatrice than Don Pedro and Leonato were towards Benedick. Hero says that Beatrice is too disdainful and self endeared . She further attacks Beatrice by saying that Distain and scorn ride sparkling in her eyes. Misprising what they look on and her wit. Values itself so highly . It seems that these scornful words are more than just a way to hook Beatrice into feeling sorry for Benedick. I think that there is resentment behind them; Hero thinks that Beatrice values herself too highly and is releasing herself from Beatrice s over bearing influence. I also believe that what the audience witness is an exchange of roles in this deception. Hero is starting to exercise her opinion while Beatrice hides in the orchard somewhat speechless. Beatrice s deception is conveyed in blank verse as opposed to Benedick s longer gulling, in prose. No rather will I go to Benedick, and counsel him to fight against his passion.. . Children Children seem to play a major role in the decision of getting a bank loan of a person or couple. Out of the selected persons, only 27 did not have any children and most of them were in our youngest age group, fact that is understanble considering the implications that raising a child has. Most people had one or two children, but there were two cases in which the person had more than three children. [pic] 2.5. Education level As expected, the education level had a major impact on the number of loans accesed. The wining category was the bachelor degree one, as people from this group have a higher level of education and are prone to have better jobs, thus having more chances in receiving a loan from a bank. Furthermore, they are the ones that require more money for investments, which usually comes from banks. The sutyd revealed that 67 people with a bachelor degree had a loan, thus more than 50% of the total interviewed subjects. • 37. How Does Oscar Wilde Conform To Society John Lahr, a critic of the famous author and playwright Oscar Wilde, once claimed, To stand out in Victorian culture,Wilde had to stand against it. Wilde definitely did not conform to the society by which he was surrounded; being an aesthetic homosexual was not the typical or ideal Victorian man. His distaste for the era he lived in is seen clearly in his humorous play The Importance of Being Earnest. Wilde was personally judged and outcasted by his own society, which caused him to mock his audience and argue that the Victorian Era was not as virtuous as those of that time attempted to appear. He uses this piece of writing as an opportunity to not only stand against and disprove the Victorian ideals, but to persuade his audience to realize ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Choosing a humourous style of writing allows him to attack the Victorian ideals without being too offensive. Simply watching the play won t tell the audience his true purpose in writing this script; after analyzing his writing, it can be seen that his tone in the play furthers his argument against the era. The audience is watching a play that is a direct mocking of them without realizing it immediately. The title of the play itself reads The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People. Not only is it a comedy, but it is meant for serious people, meaning the people of the Victorian Era. Being so caught up in their morals or standards allowed them no time for humor and fun. The need to be a typical Victorian citizen overpowered their ability to enjoy being themselves. Again, this leads back to the idea of how people had to conform and change in order to fit the mold of the Victorian person. Furthermore, Wilde s work can be referred to as a satire, meaning that Wilde uses his humor to mock the vacuities of this time (Niederhoff). Beyond his style of writing, Wilde s choice in characters also allows an emotional connection to form between the audience and play. Having roles that represent people the audience could relate to allows them to attach themselves to the characters they are watching. Both the male and female roles of this play are similar to the average ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
