This presentation contains 3D drawings created in SketchUp by the author. It demonstrates the author's technical drawing skills and SketchUp's 3D and dimensioning capabilities. The drawings are based on examples from a machine drawing textbook and include rotated views of components, individual views showing dimensions, and a surface generated using SketchUp's symmetry tool. The purpose is to showcase the author's proficiency with CAD software for technical illustrations.

2. Preface
• This presentation is a collection of personal drawing projects by the
author. Its purpose is to demonstrate the author’s skill in using CAD
software for technical writing applications.
• With the exception on slide 13, the drawings are based on examples
taken from the textbook referenced throughout this presentation.
• Slides 3 – 5 each show rotated views of a particular example from the
textbook, to demonstrate 3D function of SketchUp.
• Slides 6 – 12 each provide a view of a particular component from the
textbook, to show the dimensioning capabilities of SketchUp.
• The cover page shows surface shapes generated by applying the
symmetry capability of an advanced SketchUp tool.
• See slide 13 for illustration.
• The drawings of this presentation were rendered using SketchUp Make
Version 16, by Trimble Navigation Ltd.
