3D Computer Drawing Samples by Paul F. Geer
Preface
• This presentation is a collection of personal drawing projects by the
author. Its purpose is to demonstrate the author’s skill in using CAD
software for technical writing applications.
• With the exception on slide 13, the drawings are based on examples
taken from the textbook referenced throughout this presentation.
• Slides 3 – 5 each show rotated views of a particular example from the
textbook, to demonstrate 3D function of SketchUp.
• Slides 6 – 12 each provide a view of a particular component from the
textbook, to show the dimensioning capabilities of SketchUp.
• The cover page shows surface shapes generated by applying the
symmetry capability of an advanced SketchUp tool.
• See slide 13 for illustration.
• The drawings of this presentation were rendered using SketchUp Make
Version 16, by Trimble Navigation Ltd.
