6. Scarborough Subway Background
• City Council confirmed support for extension of the
Bloor-Danforth subway line in October, 2013
– Route and station locations are subject to an
Environmental Assessment (EA)
• The proposed extension is required soon to replace
the aging Scarborough RT
• The Municipal, Provincial and Federal Governments
have each contributed funding to make the
extension a reality
