REFLECTION ON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
As 21st
century teacher, it is a challenge to create my own personal development
plan, I encounter some difficulties in making this plan, thinking about the types of
activities to be conducted in formal, informal and non-formal settings, provides a higher
critical thinking skills. Dealing with the activities to be undertaken in my PDP builds up to
encourage the involvement of the education personnel inside and outside the school
premises. My PDP also serve as my guides in driving my path into more significant one
as a subject matter expert.
The types of development activities serve as the tools to determine my potentials
in areas where I may not to carry out especially in the teaching learning process. These
also support my values and attitudes towards the diversity of the learners. One of my
goals is to provide a systematic, experience-based curriculum in the areas of
MATHEMATICS as field experience, though I am Mathematics –major and had to
practice those areas where I able to work on willingly. The impression from each activity
will continuously upgrade the standard and quality of teaching.
I may not be a teacher of distinction or in a higher position in the department of
education; I want to improve my area of expertise, thus applying on what my PDP
contents is very essential in developing my teaching profession. Though there are some
barriers, but I believe and determined that those obstacles cannot be hindered to my
goals as the 21st
century teacher subject matter expert.
Once you become a bit bored with your life or are fed up with your job, you may
tend to start looking into new activities which will get you back you zest for life. You can
choose to dive into something work-related, or, on the other hand, learn a new skill
which you’ve never had time for before, thus in making such activities are essential for
professional development.
Because this is completely voluntary and usually not for the sake of professional
advancement, you can choose what you want to learn in dealing with the teaching
competencies in the content of the subject matter in providing learning activities. At the
end of the day “Teachers will always be the Facilitator of Learning”.

MY CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN
Philosophical Statement
Every learner has individual differences embodied with enormous aptitude from God-given gift. I want my learner to feel
that they are belong to a society with one mission and vision to create a harmonious relationship with their family,
community, and school and especially to God almighty that created them as a lifelong learner. I believe that each learner
can be a productive citizen of the country and can be a role model of their own way. It is my heart’s desire to help learner
as possibly as I can just to share my knowledge and skills with them. Knowing each learner alone is difficult but with the
encouragement of the parents and the community can be easily address the needs of each learner. A passion for this
profession is a big challenge and can be my guiding principle to look on a brighter future of the learner without fatigue. As I
used to be the role model and advocate of change, this is my mission and teaching is not only an occupation, but making the
vision real.
Rules and Procedures
I believe that before the start of the formal class, orientation of the discipline should really address with the pupils. This is
very important, and can be their guide of the school year, even if it’s being oriented with the parents during their
enrolment, giving them instruction on proper behavior towards the school personnel. Respects beget a respect that was
the key for classroom rules and procedures. When my students come to my classroom they should ready and feel my warm
welcome as their second mother. Showing my concern and willingness to teach them makes me more enthusiastic in that
way. I am willing to do whatever it takes, not what only the lessons objectives but what the life purpose here on earth.
Classroom Arrangement
I will take action focusing on the classroom chairs and desk, making an access on the movement of the chairs and desk. The
desk must be not big or small, since the class is composed of 40 pupils per teacher. I will ask to make a table where there
are 4 pupils per table as what my model on my ideal 21
st
century classroom. I believe that this is ideal for group work.
There will be an area of mini library containing the books related to my subjects. There will be an area of mini computer lab
at the side of the classroom when ICT’s requires. It must be well ventilated where air can freely touch their skins. Proper
lightings must take into consideration that gives optimism and drives away negativity.
My wall will be decorated with inspiring thoughts that serve as words of encouragement for every lesson that they might
feel to quit or surrender. My bulletin board will be an interactive board of information for trivia and other enhancement
activities wherein every student’s output will be ranked that will serve as everyday challenge for them to achieve and strive
harder. My classroom will be a place to contemplate with God, to ask for guidance and support that their journey towards
their studies will be full of blessings and happiness. Lastly, plants in corridor and inside the room will attract more relaxing
sensation, thus it helps a lot in their learning.
Misbehavior Interventions
If misbehaviors encounter, I will make sure that after class I will talk to my students and resolve any problems occurred as
soon as possible. If the problems are not possibly resolve by my own I will call for the parent’s attention with the guidance
office awareness and talked with them in the office heart to heart. If the student having some problems in misbehaving with
their subject teachers, I will set an open forum with them and talked about what is their problems and giving them suitable
advices not of offensive words and consulting the proper authority like guidance counselor or the school principal if
problems cannot be solve easily. If I think the problems were already resolve, we will pray together for the good
relationship with them. I believe that this will be more helpful to start a brand new day with the smile in our heart.
Classroom Safety
My goal is to have a conducive classroom and safety environment that student’s feel at home and learning must be their
number one priority. I want my classroom as a free noise environment and when they look on the windows they will see an
environment that give them positive energy and peace of mind. I look in my students fairly and love them individually as If
they were my sons and daughters. The motherly approach will make them feels safe in the classroom. I want them to feel at
home with respects and treat them equally. I believe that this will be best for them to love each other and appreciate
individuals beginning from ourselves.
Pupil Celebration
Every achievements happened with my pupils whether its school-based, district or any level, I will give them rewards or it
could words of phrase like “ Good job” “ Nice”, “Very Good” etc. that give them motivations to strive more. If there were
students who celebrates birthday, I will let my pupils sings a birthday song. During the PTA – meeting I will call the attention
of their parents and recognized their child and give them a tokens. I will post to bulletin about my students performance
and congratulates them with a hug and give them a simple ribbons. I believe that this will be a good motivation with them to
for further toward better performance.

  • 5. JOJIT D. APIONG GURO21 BATCH 6 CLASS 15 REFLECTION ON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN As 21st century teacher, it is a challenge to create my own personal development plan, I encounter some difficulties in making this plan, thinking about the types of activities to be conducted in formal, informal and non-formal settings, provides a higher critical thinking skills. Dealing with the activities to be undertaken in my PDP builds up to encourage the involvement of the education personnel inside and outside the school premises. My PDP also serve as my guides in driving my path into more significant one as a subject matter expert. The types of development activities serve as the tools to determine my potentials in areas where I may not to carry out especially in the teaching learning process. These also support my values and attitudes towards the diversity of the learners. One of my goals is to provide a systematic, experience-based curriculum in the areas of MATHEMATICS as field experience, though I am Mathematics –major and had to practice those areas where I able to work on willingly. The impression from each activity will continuously upgrade the standard and quality of teaching. I may not be a teacher of distinction or in a higher position in the department of education; I want to improve my area of expertise, thus applying on what my PDP contents is very essential in developing my teaching profession. Though there are some barriers, but I believe and determined that those obstacles cannot be hindered to my goals as the 21st century teacher subject matter expert. Once you become a bit bored with your life or are fed up with your job, you may tend to start looking into new activities which will get you back you zest for life. You can choose to dive into something work-related, or, on the other hand, learn a new skill which you’ve never had time for before, thus in making such activities are essential for professional development. Because this is completely voluntary and usually not for the sake of professional advancement, you can choose what you want to learn in dealing with the teaching competencies in the content of the subject matter in providing learning activities. At the end of the day “Teachers will always be the Facilitator of Learning”. Jojit D. Apiong

  • 16. MY CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN Philosophical Statement Every learner has individual differences embodied with enormous aptitude from God-given gift. I want my learner to feel that they are belong to a society with one mission and vision to create a harmonious relationship with their family, community, and school and especially to God almighty that created them as a lifelong learner. I believe that each learner can be a productive citizen of the country and can be a role model of their own way. It is my heart’s desire to help learner as possibly as I can just to share my knowledge and skills with them. Knowing each learner alone is difficult but with the encouragement of the parents and the community can be easily address the needs of each learner. A passion for this profession is a big challenge and can be my guiding principle to look on a brighter future of the learner without fatigue. As I used to be the role model and advocate of change, this is my mission and teaching is not only an occupation, but making the vision real. Rules and Procedures I believe that before the start of the formal class, orientation of the discipline should really address with the pupils. This is very important, and can be their guide of the school year, even if it’s being oriented with the parents during their enrolment, giving them instruction on proper behavior towards the school personnel. Respects beget a respect that was the key for classroom rules and procedures. When my students come to my classroom they should ready and feel my warm welcome as their second mother. Showing my concern and willingness to teach them makes me more enthusiastic in that way. I am willing to do whatever it takes, not what only the lessons objectives but what the life purpose here on earth. Classroom Arrangement I will take action focusing on the classroom chairs and desk, making an access on the movement of the chairs and desk. The desk must be not big or small, since the class is composed of 40 pupils per teacher. I will ask to make a table where there are 4 pupils per table as what my model on my ideal 21 st century classroom. I believe that this is ideal for group work. There will be an area of mini library containing the books related to my subjects. There will be an area of mini computer lab at the side of the classroom when ICT’s requires. It must be well ventilated where air can freely touch their skins. Proper lightings must take into consideration that gives optimism and drives away negativity. My wall will be decorated with inspiring thoughts that serve as words of encouragement for every lesson that they might feel to quit or surrender. My bulletin board will be an interactive board of information for trivia and other enhancement activities wherein every student’s output will be ranked that will serve as everyday challenge for them to achieve and strive harder. My classroom will be a place to contemplate with God, to ask for guidance and support that their journey towards their studies will be full of blessings and happiness. Lastly, plants in corridor and inside the room will attract more relaxing sensation, thus it helps a lot in their learning.
  • 17. Misbehavior Interventions If misbehaviors encounter, I will make sure that after class I will talk to my students and resolve any problems occurred as soon as possible. If the problems are not possibly resolve by my own I will call for the parent’s attention with the guidance office awareness and talked with them in the office heart to heart. If the student having some problems in misbehaving with their subject teachers, I will set an open forum with them and talked about what is their problems and giving them suitable advices not of offensive words and consulting the proper authority like guidance counselor or the school principal if problems cannot be solve easily. If I think the problems were already resolve, we will pray together for the good relationship with them. I believe that this will be more helpful to start a brand new day with the smile in our heart. Classroom Safety My goal is to have a conducive classroom and safety environment that student’s feel at home and learning must be their number one priority. I want my classroom as a free noise environment and when they look on the windows they will see an environment that give them positive energy and peace of mind. I look in my students fairly and love them individually as If they were my sons and daughters. The motherly approach will make them feels safe in the classroom. I want them to feel at home with respects and treat them equally. I believe that this will be best for them to love each other and appreciate individuals beginning from ourselves. Pupil Celebration Every achievements happened with my pupils whether its school-based, district or any level, I will give them rewards or it could words of phrase like “ Good job” “ Nice”, “Very Good” etc. that give them motivations to strive more. If there were students who celebrates birthday, I will let my pupils sings a birthday song. During the PTA – meeting I will call the attention of their parents and recognized their child and give them a tokens. I will post to bulletin about my students performance and congratulates them with a hug and give them a simple ribbons. I believe that this will be a good motivation with them to for further toward better performance. Jojit D. Apiong .
