The SOPRANO project aims to develop context-aware smart home services to support independent living for elderly people. A consortium of 25 partners from 8 countries is working on ambient assisted living technologies like sensors, actuators, avatars and a middleware platform. The project will be evaluated through demonstrations and field trials in 80 homes across 3 countries to validate how the services can help with medication compliance, fall detection, exercise and entertainment.
