1. The document discusses the journey to cloud computing through three phases - classic data center, virtual data center, and cloud. In a classic data center, components like compute, applications, databases, storage, and networks are physically separate.
2. The next phase is a virtual data center, where virtualization allows multiple operating systems to run simultaneously on a single physical machine. Virtual machines act like physical machines but are logical files.
3. Security is a key challenge in cloud computing due to the use of virtualization. Various security measures like authentication, access control, and virtual machine theft prevention need to be implemented to secure data and systems in the cloud.

An approach has been presented in this paper in order to generate a secure environment on internet Based Virtual Computing platform and also to reduce energy consumption in green cloud computing. The proposed approach constantly checks the accuracy of stored data by means of a central control service inside the network environment and also checks system security through isolating single virtual machines using a common virtual environment. This approach has been simulated on two types of Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) Quick EMUlator (Qemu), HVM (Hardware Virtual Machine) Xen and outputs of the simulation in VMInsight show that when service is getting singly used, the overhead of its performance will be increased. As a secure system, the proposed approach is able to recognize malicious behaviors and assure service security by means of operational integrity measurement. Moreover, the rate of system efficiency has been evaluated according to the amount of energy consumption on five applications (Defragmentation, Compression, Linux Boot Decompression and Kernel Boot). Therefore, this has been resulted that to secure multi-tenant environment, managers and supervisors should independently install a security monitoring system for each Virtual Machines (VMs) which will come up to have the management heavy workload of. Additionally, the hubs putting away the sections are isolated with certain separation by method for diagram T-shading to restrict an assailant of speculating the areas of the sections. Moreover, the DROPS procedure does not depend on the customary cryptographic procedures for the information security; in this way alleviating the arrangement of computationally costly approaches. We demonstrate that the likelihood to find and bargain the greater part of the hubs putting away the sections of a solitary record is to a great degree low. We likewise analyze the execution of the DROPS system with ten different plans. The more elevated amount of security with slight execution overhead was watched.

Ant colony Optimization: A Solution of Load balancing in Cloud dannyijwest
As the cloud computing is a new style of computing over internet. It has many advantages along with some
crucial issues to be resolved in order to improve reliability of cloud environment. These issues are related
with the load management, fault tolerance and different security issues in cloud environment. In this paper
the main concern is load balancing in cloud computing. The load can be CPU load, memory capacity,
delay or network load. Load balancing is the process of distributing the load among various nodes of a
distributed system to improve both resource utilization and job response time while also avoiding a
situation where some of the nodes are heavily loaded while other nodes are idle or doing very little work.
Load balancing ensures that all the processor in the system or every node in the network does
approximately the equal amount of work at any instant of time. Many methods to resolve this problem has
been came into existence like Particle Swarm Optimization, hash method, genetic algorithms and several
scheduling based algorithms are there. In this paper we are proposing a method based on Ant Colony
optimization to resolve the problem of load balancing in cloud environment.
Fog Computing: Issues, Challenges and Future Directions IJECEIAES
In Cloud Computing, all the processing of the data collected by the node is done in the central server. This involves a lot of time as data has to be transferred from the node to central server before the processing of data can be done in the server. Also it is not practical to stream terabytes of data from the node to the cloud and back. To overcome these disadvantages, an extension of cloud computing, known as fog computing, is introduced. In this, the processing of data is done completely in the node if the data does not require higher computing power and is done partially if the data requires high computing power, after which the data is transferred to the central server for the remaining computations. This greatly reduces the time involved in the process and is more efficient as the central server is not overloaded. Fog is quite useful in geographically dispersed areas where connectivity can be irregular. The ideal use case requires intelligence near the edge where ultralow latency is critical, and is promised by fog computing. The concepts of cloud computing and fog computing will be explored and their features will be contrasted to understand which is more efficient and better suited for realtime application.
Enhancing Data Storage Security in Cloud Computing Through SteganographyIDES Editor
in cloud computing data storage is a significant issue
because the entire data reside over a set of interconnected
resource pools that enables the data to be accessed through
virtual machines. It moves the application software’s and
databases to the large data centers where the management of
data is actually done. As the resource pools are situated over
various corners of the world, the management of data and
services may not be fully trustworthy. So, there are various
issues that need to be addressed with respect to the
management of data, service of data, privacy of data, security
of data etc. But the privacy and security of data is highly
challenging. To ensure privacy and security of data-at-rest in
cloud computing, we have proposed an effective and a novel
approach to ensure data security in cloud computing by means
of hiding data within images following is the concept of
steganography. The main objective of this paper is to prevent
data access from cloud data storage centers by unauthorized
users. This scheme perfectly stores data at cloud data storage
centers and retrieves data from it when it is needed.

Aes based secured framework for cloud databasesIJARIIT
A Cloud database management system is a distributed database that delivers computing as a service (Caas) instead of
a product. Improving confidentiality of information stored in a cloud database .It is a very important contribution to the cloud
database. Data encryption is the optimum solution for achieving confidentiality. In some normal methods, encrypt the whole
database through some standard encryption algorithm that does not allow in SQL database operations directly on the cloud. This
formal solution affected by workload and cost would make the cloud database service inconvenient. I propose a novel
architecture for adaptive encryption of public cloud database. Adaptive encryption allows any SQL operation over encrypted
data. The novel cloud database architecture that uses adaptive encryption technique with no intermediate servers. This scheme
provides cloud provider with the best level of confidentiality for any database workload. I can determine the encryption and
adaptive encryption cost of data confidentiality from the research point of view. Index Terms Adaptive encryption Technique, AES (Advanced encryption Standard), Metadata.
Electrically small antennas: The art of miniaturizationEditor IJARCET
We are living in the technological era, were we preferred to have the portable devices rather than unmovable devices. We are isolating our self rom the wires and we are becoming the habitual of wireless world what makes the device portable? I guess physical dimensions (mechanical) of that particular device, but along with this the electrical dimension is of the device is also of great importance. Reducing the physical dimension of the antenna would result in the small antenna but not electrically small antenna. We have different definition for the electrically small antenna but the one which is most appropriate is, where k is the wave number and is equal to and a is the radius of the imaginary sphere circumscribing the maximum dimension of the antenna. As the present day electronic devices progress to diminish in size, technocrats have become increasingly concentrated on electrically small antenna (ESA) designs to reduce the size of the antenna in the overall electronics system. Researchers in many fields, including RF and Microwave, biomedical technology and national intelligence, can benefit from electrically small antennas as long as the performance of the designed ESA meets the system requirement.

The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

A tale of scale & speed: How the US Navy is enabling software delivery from l...sonjaschweigert1
Rapid and secure feature delivery is a goal across every application team and every branch of the DoD. The Navy’s DevSecOps platform, Party Barge, has achieved:
- Reduction in onboarding time from 5 weeks to 1 day
- Improved developer experience and productivity through actionable findings and reduction of false positives
- Maintenance of superior security standards and inherent policy enforcement with Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Development teams can ship efficiently and ensure applications are cyber ready for Navy Authorizing Officials (AOs). In this webinar, Sigma Defense and Anchore will give attendees a look behind the scenes and demo secure pipeline automation and security artifacts that speed up application ATO and time to production.
We will cover:
- How to remove silos in DevSecOps
- How to build efficient development pipeline roles and component templates
- How to deliver security artifacts that matter for ATO’s (SBOMs, vulnerability reports, and policy evidence)
- How to streamline operations with automated policy checks on container images

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
Threats to mobile devices are more prevalent and increasing in scope and complexity. Users of mobile devices desire to take full advantage of the features
available on those devices, but many of the features provide convenience and capability but sacrifice security. This best practices guide outlines steps the users can take to better protect personal devices and information.
