For whatever you plan, be ready for it to not go according to plan!
• If you are having a Giving Fair, do you have a back-up location
• If you are planning a text to give campaign, do you have a back up in case that
doesn’t work out
• If you website crashes, do you have another way to get information out
• How do you get in contact with the charities in your city? What if that list isn’t
available?
Make sure you are asking your team the right questions to ensure that you always
have a fall-back!

• Rotary Clubs and Service Organizations
• City Council Public Meetings
• Organizations AGM’s (if they have guest speakers)
• Local networking group
• Take a multi-channeled approach—Social Media, Website, Paper
Communications, Posters, Flyers etc.
• Make it easy for people to help you spread the message: Tweet sheets, elevator
speeches, communication pieces, sponsorship packages etc.
