1. Flexibility.
The flexibility PeopleLink offers you cannot be offered to you by any of the
hardware based video conferencing solutions. The BYOD (Bring your own device)
concept which enables participants to log in to the conference from any device (For
eg. Laptops, desktops, professional board rooms, iPads, iPhones, Android Phones
etc.) makes PeopleLink a solution much more flexible than any hardware based
video conferencing solution which will keep you stuck to a boardroom and of the
boardroom is occupied, you might have to end up waiting in a queue to enter into a
video conference.
2. Scalability.
Scalability of the existing solution is a big concern in Hardware based Video
Conferencing Solutions because with the increase in the number of end points, you
will have to increase the number of MCU (Multi-Party Control Unit) ports which will
unnecessarily cost you a bomb. For eg. If you want to have a 20-party Video
Conference using Hardware based solutions, you will have to procure a 20 port MCU
(additional hardware) to complete the call. The day you feel the need of a 21st
participant, you will have to scrap our old MCU hardware and buy an all new MCU

4. Life of the Solution.
The life of the hardware based video conferencing solution is not more than 3 to 4
years. After that either the product becomes end of life or the technology itself

end-user certificate for 25 long years and all the upgrades and updates can be
provided to the client remotely without any breaks in your video conferencing
schedule.

5. CAPEX Investment.
The CAPEX investment you make with any hardware based VC solutions is extremely
higher than what you make with PeopleLink. Also if there is a new technology
launched in hardware and if you want to implement it, your complete CAPEX goes
for a toss as you have to scrap the complete hardware and go for a new hardware
solution altogether. Whereas with PeopleLink, your CAPEX itself is one-third of the
same in hardware and that too is safe for 25 years because being a software, it can
just be upgraded by adding a patch on it at an affordable AMC.

based VC providers who would compel you to dedicate 2-3 mbps leased line for a 2

7. Recurring Investments.
With PeopleLink, your recurring investment on the bandwidth as well as the
replacements of hardware with new hardware becomes nominal. PeopleLink can
run flawlessly even on the lowest possible bandwidths eliminating the need of
dedicating high bandwidth for the VC solution and incurring enormous investment

8. Extraordinary Modules like HD Conference Recording & Video Mixing.
Any hardware based VC solution Provider would not offer you the above mentioned
features as a part of the basic package because if they want to provide you with
these options, they will have to deploy their huge recording servers at your

9. Meeting New People –
PeopleLink being a software based VC solution, is capable of making you meet new
people in the shortest possible time. All you have to do is get the software client
downloaded in any PC/Laptop in the remote locations and share the login
credentials to get him logged into the conference. Once you are done with your
conference, you can change your passwords yourself. On the other hand with
hardware based VC solutions, you won’t be able to do any video conference with
new people unless you have a hardware based VC solution already implemented
there.
10. After Sales Service.
PeopleLink being a software based video conferencing solution, comes with a
benefit of remote troubleshooting for all of its clients. Anytime throughout the day
if you face any concerns in your video conferencing, you can reach either the
technical support directly or can make a call to your assigned account manager. In
just 15 minutes of service lead time, your solutions again gets up and running unlike
the hardware based VC providers where even if you call the customer support, you
will be asked to send the hardware back to them, they will either repair it or replace
