1. Flexibility.
The flexibility PeopleLink offers you cannot be offered to you by any of the
hardware based video conferencing solutions. The BYOD (Bring your own device)
concept which enables participants to log in to the conference from any device (For
eg. Laptops, desktops, professional board rooms, iPads, iPhones, Android Phones
etc.) makes PeopleLink a solution much more flexible than any hardware based
video conferencing solution which will keep you stuck to a boardroom and of the
boardroom is occupied, you might have to end up waiting in a queue to enter into a
video conference.
2. Scalability.
Scalability of the existing solution is a big concern in Hardware based Video
Conferencing Solutions because with the increase in the number of end points, you
will have to increase the number of MCU (Multi-Party Control Unit) ports which will
unnecessarily cost you a bomb. For eg. If you want to have a 20-party Video
Conference using Hardware based solutions, you will have to procure a 20 port MCU
(additional hardware) to complete the call. The day you feel the need of a 21st

5. CAPEX Investment.
The CAPEX investment you make with any hardware based VC solutions is extremely
higher than what you make with PeopleLink. Also if there is a new technology
launched in hardware and if you want to implement it, your complete CAPEX goes

9. Meeting New People –
PeopleLink being a software based VC solution, is capable of making you meet new
people in the shortest possible time. All you have to do is get the software client
downloaded in any PC/Laptop in the remote locations and share the login
credentials to get him logged into the conference. Once you are done with your
conference, you can change your passwords yourself. On the other hand with
hardware based VC solutions, you won’t be able to do any video conference with
new people unless you have a hardware based VC solution already implemented
there.
