The document outlines the scope and requirements for a report analyzing working adults' views on working from home. It includes conducting an online survey of 10-15 working adults to gather data on their remote work experiences. Specifically, the survey will ask about the number of days and hours worked remotely per week, likes and dislikes of remote work, challenges faced, and preferences for continuing remote work. The report will analyze the survey findings, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations for how organizations can improve remote work experiences. A suggested report format is provided, including sections for an executive summary, findings and analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.

Continual Assessment 2 (40%)
Due: 5 February 2021 at 11.59am
The Continual Assessment consists of an INDIVIDUAL Report
Writing component based on the given
scenario.
SCENARIO
Background
Remote work, mobile work, telecommuting or working from
home refer to a work arrangement in which
8. employees do not commute or travel to a central place of work.
This phenomenon is not new – many
business organisations offered telecommuting as an option to
employees even before the novel
coronavirus took the world by storm. However, as the virus
began to spread at an exponential rate,
businesses had no other option but to switch to remote work. As
a result, the number of employees
working from home has increased drastically.
Assume you are working for the Ministry of Manpower (or the
Department of Labour in your country).
The Head of Department, Mr X (insert name) would like to find
out the views of employees on working
from home. He has requested you to conduct an online survey
on 10-15 working adults in your country
to find out the following:
• How many days in a week do they work from home?
• How many hours (per day) on the average do they spend
working from home?
• What do they like about working from home?
• What do they dislike about working from home?
9. • What challenges do they face while working from home?
• If given a choice would they prefer to continue working from
home? Why?
• Do male and female employees have similar opinions? If not,
why?
• How can their remote work experience be enhanced?
• Other relevant questions.
Project Brief
2
Task
1. You will have to conduct an on-line survey to determine the
answers for the questions stated
above and compile a report. You would need to design a
questionnaire to survey 10-15 working
adults who are currently working at home or have had
experience working from home. They
must be employees of an organization – not self-employed. It is
important to find out their
demographic details (gender). This information can be used to
cross tabulate with other variables
10. for data analysis. The data that you have collected should be
attached to the appendix of your
report.
2. Based on your survey findings and analysis, do make
appropriate recommendations (strategies/
steps/actions) that business organisations can take to improve
the remote working experience.
You are strongly encouraged to examine other related aspects
that will be useful as well.
