A considerable change in the behaviour of an organism is called learning.
When organism comes in contact with his environment certain necessary
adjustment in the behaviour is needed.
This adjustment in behaviour is the result of acquisition of various habits,
skills, attitudes and knowledge, which is actually learning in simple term.

Learning means a change in response or behaviour(modification,
elimination or acquisition of responses involving some degree of
performance) caused partly or wholly by consciousness or
unconsciousness experiences.

Learning is “relatively a permanent change in behaviour
which occur as a result of activity, training, practice or
experience”-Psychologists
According to the definition given above learning has
three attributes

( changes due to growth and maturation are relatively
independent of activity ,practice or experience and
hence they are not learning)
3. Before it is called learning, the change must be
relatively permanent. It must last a fairly long time.

due to experience” (Mayer, 1982, p. 1040).
2. “an enduring change in behavior, or in the capacity to behave in a given
fashion, which results from practice or other forms of experience”
