• to understand and appreciate the
  relationship between the physical
  features of the earth and human
  habitation
• to understand and appreciate WHY
  humans live WHERE they live and
  WHY they INTERACT the way they

• Read and interpret maps
• Articulate the cause and effects
  related to Plate Tectonics, Weather
  and Climate, and Biomes and
  Ecosystems

• Understand and articulate the
  importances of the 5 Themes of
  Geography: location, character,
  similarities and differences, move of
  people, goods and ideas, and human/
  environment interaction
• Apply the 5 Themes to the following areas:
  North America, South America, Europe,
  Asia, Africa, Australia and Antarctica

• A loose leaf notebook (with notebook
  paper) to be used ONLY for this class
