Finding the location of hardware in your chassis
• To determine the IOM Slot Number you must:
– Start counting at zero (do not count the Power Supply)
– Count from left to right
– Count both spaces if the module occupies two spaces

Fault Tolerant Ethernet Bridge (FTEB)
• Fault Tolerant Ethernet Bridge (FTEB)
– The FTEB can be used for FIM only connections to the Supervisory
network
– In the Project and Monitoring tabs in control builder you will now see
the FTEB as the Root for the CPM!!!!
– You will be setting the FTEB up using IP addresses! An FTE
community can only have 99 FTEB’s so, you are limited to 49
Redundant pairs and 99 single in one community.
– The FTE connection to the FTEB is 10Mbps. 10Mbps is only
supported in FTE for connection from FTEB to a switch, nowhere
else.
