2. CROSS MEDIA INTEGRATION
• The ITV use both vertical and horizontal integration
• They use both social media platforms to promote & advertise
• They also use print publications (e.g billboards)

3. DIFFERENT TV CHANNELS
• ITV is the main broadcasting channel. They have their own news shows (e.g This Morning
and ITV Weekend News)
• ITV HD airs the same content as ITV, but in high definition. Every ITV sub channel has its
own HD version
• ITV2 is a 24 hour free-to-air entertainment channel, which broadcasts reality TV shows such
as The X-Factor and Love Island
• ITV3 airs “contemporary and classic drama” for a maturer audience. For example, dramas
such as Doc Martin and Midsomer Murders are frequently aired on this channel
• ITV4 is a sports channel. They air MotorSport UK and the Cycling Tour of Britain
• ITVBe air lifestyle and reality shows that are used for entertainment purposes. Shows
include The Only Way Is Essex and The Bachelor.
• CITV is a channel that broadcasts children television. Shows include Horrid Henry and Art
Attack

4. MERCHANDISING
• Shows aired on the ITV have their own merchandise
• Shows such as Love Island sell official t-shirts, water bottles, wrist
bands, etc
• These shows sell the merchandise independently to ITV and have
their own sites where they can be purchased
• The X-Factor have a web store on Live Nation Merch where official
t-shirts, key rings and other novelties can be bought
