I have been walking in the Lord for the past 13 years of my life. In that time there have been many
different experiences HE has led me through and given me. There have been numerous times in my
life in which I could surely see HIS hand. However, my journey to attend college has been unique
and completely ordered by HIM.
When I was younger everyone expected that I would be the first in the family to go to college. I did
not go to college because in my last year of high school I got pregnant with my daughter and wanted
to focus on being the best mom I could. Not only was I not the first to go to college but I am the
only one of my siblings to not graduate from college with a bachelor's degree. However, I am the

The Concept Of Memory In The Film Finding Dory
Introduction Cognitive development is important in the field of Child development because it helps
us understand behavior. Of particular importance in this paper in this paper is memory and how it
affects behavior. We will explore short–term memory and how it is associated to retrograde amnesia.
We will also explore how emotions affect memory by either enhancing it. We will then explore how
these concepts apply by putting them in the context of real life. In particular, the paper will discuss
how the film Finding Dory has employed the concept of memory in its plot. The argument supported
here is that emotions boost memory. Short–Term Memory From the first line of the movie, "Hi, my
name is Dory, and I suffer from short–term memory loss". It's clear that The animated film would
depict a very important message about individuals who suffer from this disability and how society
and loved ones react to the symptoms. The film begins with Dory having a flashback about how she
loves to explore life under the sea despite her overprotective parents. Throughout the film, Dory
shares her disability with everyone she meets and always makes sure to apologize for her memory
loss. When she starts her journey she encounters several fish friends who are unable to help her

Every year a new producer is selected to produce the show and keep all the different functions on
task and meeting the targeted deadlines. Each year the producer must develop their own work
schedule will all tasks included that are required to meet the deadline of opening night. Due to the
lack of formal organization chart that outlines authority, control and report creates challenges as well
open communication among all functions is critical to ensure deadlines are being met. Given the
timeframe as to when budget is approved and the producer can proceed with tasks everything needs
to run smoothly and on–time. There isn't much room to delay the start of tasks especially along the
critical paths to meet the opening night. Opening night is critical for the operetta as how it is
performed will lead to positive feedback in newspapers and talk around campus. Based on how it
goes will lead to more ticket sales for the following performances. With a majority of the tasks being
completed by volunteers, who have other obligations, results in little ability to push them for extra
time to catch up on tasks which are delayed. As well can't jeopardize the quality of the performance
or sets due to pushing the volunteers or putting the wrong people into roles they can't do. Poor
quality does not fit with what the operetta wants to showcase and could lead to poorer ticket sales.

The Trans–Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, located in Weston, West Virginia, is a 160 year old haunted
site that many people visit each year (Trans). Even though the asylum is now abandoned, tours of

1. Productivity of the crew would be below standard. I believe for the productivity to be below
standard because they were sent to this crew because of their lack of work. Just because they have
been assigned to another crew, does not mean that they will begin to work well right away. When
compared to the Equity Theory, I believe there to be positive inequity for the three men assigned to
the new group. For being assigned to the group due to lack of work, it is unfair to have a higher pay
grade than those who have been in the company for a longer period of time and who are doing their

The crewmen who were assigned to this group are probably not happy with their reassignment, so at
least in the beginning things may be slow.
5. Some subgroups will have accepted the informal standards about crew behavior while others will
not. The crewmen who have been with the company for a longer period of time may have grown
accustomed to the current standards. The new crewmen on the other hand may disagree with the
standards and try to implement new ones. Since Kilkenny management considered the leader and
assistant leader to be excellent foresters and teachers, I believe they will implement new strategies
which will better benefit the crew as a whole.
Part II
My predictions in part I were fairly accurate to the information provided in part II. The existing
crewmen talked amongst one another at lunch time and the new crewmen isolated themselves from
the group. Additional information that would have helped with predictive accuracy could have
included information about the three new professionals past performance in other groups
specifically. A description could have included information about the amount of work done
compared to fellow co–workers. Also, if the professionals have been reassigned in the past could
have been added.

What are the three types of memory? The three types of memory are the following; short term

Second, short term memory. What is short term memory? According to the textbook, short term
memory is defined as the working memory, and in the glossary, it says; "memory that holds

before long term memory. You use short term memory every day. For example, when you need to

How To Reinvent HMS Sandwich
If I could reinvent the HMS curriculum, I would include many different classes that would benefit
the students for their future. The two new classes I would introduce to HMS are public speaking and
digital citizenship class. To start, I would choose to provide a public speaking class because it is a
skill many jobs require. During class time, the students will do many fun, interactive activities
everyday. For the first couple of minutes, the students can receive informational tips on speaking.
Then, they could practice those skills in exercises. Then once every couple months, a public speaker

The alternatives to this case are limited since all the aspects of the project are sequential and time
sensitive. I believe the previous project manager from the year before would be suitable since they
have had the experience before but this is not an option of course. I believe a project process matrix
and breakdown of assigned work is the crucial however management should be open to alternatives
within the project goals, for example, making the a less complex stage set in favour of more
sophisticated lighting depending on time and budget. The project management tools is essentially
the most important part of the project and keeps everyone on the same page and allows everyone to
work together to reach the main goal at a certain point in time using the allotted time given for each
task in the project sequence. Exhaustion amongst students may occur if student's exam and course

are cued to retrieve the associated memory (Think trials), or to suppress its retrieval (No–Think
trials). Suppressing retrieval in response to a strong reminder reduces blood–oxygen–level
dependent activation in the hippocampus and impairs retention of the suppressed memory5–11.
These reductions originate from inhibitory control processes supported by the dorsolateral prefrontal
cortex6–11. Retrieving memories, in contrast, increases hippocampal activity12 and often facilitates
later recall13. Thus, hippocampal activity can be modulated according to task goals, though practice
at suppressing retrieval is often necessary to achieve hippocampal reductions6. A key assumption of
the present work is that this modulation does not target particular memories, which may be a
person's goal, but rather reﬂects a broadly targeted suppression (hereinafter, 'systemic suppression')
of regional activity in the hippocampus that generally disrupts other memory functions supported by

Memories are priceless facets of the human mind. They make humans who they are, molding them
into unique beings. The development of memories over time is critical to the growth and assembly
of personality; as memories dictate, both directly and indirectly, how humans view the world around
them as well as how they behave within it. What if one could not create or retain new memories?
What if one could not access past memories? This is the case with people who suffer from
anterograde amnesia and retrograde amnesia respectively. Cognitive Science professor, Dr. Jim
Davies imparted an understanding of these disorders through his screening of Christopher Nolan's
film Memento. Neurologist Oliver Sacks, author of the book The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a
Hat and Other Clinical Tales aids in further establishing the nature of these disorders through
detailed accounts of numerous patients who suffered from them.
In order to truly understand anterograde and retrograde amnesia, one must first understand the
concepts of short–term memory and long–term memory, the former being mainly affected and as a

Three positive observations that I made from the Mount Inn was the increase of the occupancy rate,
rooms revenue, and beverage revenue. The occupancy rate jumped from 64.9 % in 2016 to 65.1% in
2017. This was a .20 increase in the rooms that were being occupied The hotel was able to get more
customers into their doors. The rooms revenue jumped from $6,159,536 in 2016 to $6,414,875 in
2017.This was a $255,339 increase in revenue for rooms in the Inn. Another finding for the rooms
revenue increased from being 70.77% to 71.72% out of the total revenue percentages. The last

Imagine living your life having no recollection of the past 20 seconds of anything that happens to
you. Constantly feening for a way to remember, knowing that no matter how hard you try to
remember a piece of something will always be forgotten. This is the case of a man named Leonard
Shelby, an insurance claims investigator who lives with his wife who is diabetic in the movie
Memento. This movie depicts a life that some may live every day; a life that struggles to remember
certain aspects of it. In this psychological thriller, the disorder presented through the main character
Leonard is called Anterograde Amnesia, better known as short–term memory. This is a disorder in
which short term memories are often forgotten long before they ever have the ability to become long
term memories. This is caused by the brain being affected by some sort of trauma or accident that
affects the hippocampus of the brain making it very hard from that point on to remember anything
other than the long–term memories that were set in your brain before any trauma. During a break in
into his home Leonard was struck by a gun to the side of his head by two masked criminals which
caused his short–term memory loss. Also during the incident, his wife was raped and killed by them.
Leonard kills one of the criminals, but the other gets away with minimal damage. This is the last

Abstract
A study by Smith, Thelen, and colleagues questioned Piaget's A–not –B errors which happens when
babies make errors when trying to remember where an object is hidden and revert to where they last
remember the object being not at the current location. Smith, Thelen, and colleagues believe it is
more of a dynamic systems approach, than an error of stage IV of Piaget's stages of cognitive

Following a ten second interruption, the child is permitted to hunt for the toy and naturally does so
correctly. After many hide and seek games for the same object at location A, it is buried at another
location–location B. Babies ages eight to ten months generally returned to search for the object at
location A when it had just been hidden at the new location. This error is defined by Piaget as stage
4 which is development of the object concept. This fault shows not only important progress made in
stage 4 of development but, also a problem in linking up object representation to the child's prior
knowledge of location. Psychologist have revealed many different explanations for this result.
Examples of this are in terms of the egocentric representation of space (e.g., Acredolo, 1985;
Bremner, 1978; Bremner&Bryant, 1977), the immaturity of the prefrontal cortex (e.g., Diamond,
1990a, 1990b; Diamond&Goldman–Rakic, 1989), and the fragility of object memory (e.g.,
Munakata, 1998; Munakata, McClelland, Johnson, &Siegler, 1997), and others. All of these studies
share the commonality that this error results in the baby's brain at a specific point in development.
Smith and colleagues find justification of the error through multiple processes that result in self
motivated actions, like reaching for an object at a familiar location throughout development; error is
not specific to a set time in

"Wow Hayner, first try too, when 'd you get so good at it?" Pence asked.
"Practice makes perfect, as they say." Hayner, having tied up the fishes in the bag, gave his prize to
Xion who giddily accepted it.

"Anytime," He said smoothly.
Roxas frowned at his advances. "Why don 't I try? Looks easy enough if you can do it." He marched
up to the vendor to buy paper nets for himself.
"Roxas, it 's not a competition." Xion reprimanded. "We 're here to have fun."
"I don 't know about that, I mean, beating him is gonna be pretty fun!"
Hayner smirked. "Oooh, are those fighting words? Just try and beat me."
Roxas approached the fish tank. 'I 'll get a big one, that 'll top him. ' His eyes landed on the oddly
