This presentation summarizes the challenges facing modern universities and strategies for developing digital learning. It discusses developing notions of the "digital university" and a model for conceptualizing it. The presentation outlines Glasgow Caledonian University's digital strategy, including enabling digital development, evidence-based enhancement, and developing staff digital capabilities. It provides examples of moving courses online and using learning analytics to understand online learning patterns. The presentation concludes that continued work is needed on targeted curriculum design, modeling digital teaching practice, and short training units to further develop staff digital capabilities and online teaching skills.
