the idea of the product operator, which represents the focal method for reflection in AOSE. A
product specialist is characterized as an embodied delicate product substance with one or more
indicated objectives. To satisfy these objectives, an operator demonstrates self–ruling conduct and
interfaces persistently with its surroundings and different specialists.

Health Communications Specialists
In today's multifaceted and elaborate society, public health specialists must balance creativity with
analysis. Health communications professionals lead impactful initiatives designed to reduce harmful
behavior among the most at–risk populations in the United States.
Health campaigns target the reasons why individuals follow specific detrimental patterns. However,
delivering public health message is not enough. Health communications specialists plan public
campaigns based on audience size and issue severity. [1] When creating campaigns, the specialists
must consider additional factors, such as:
Community influences
Employment statuses
Familial connections
Genetic makeups
Individual habits
Living conditions

In 1924, six cardiologists joined forces to launch a heart disease research collaborative. That has
since evolved into a 22 and a half million member volunteer organization. Already emboldened by
participation from thousands of cardiology specialists, the group reorganized as a volunteer
association in 1948.
The American Heart Association grew into a nationally visible information source in the 1980's. At
this time, significant cash infusions from various benefactors allowed the group to initiate new
research and wellness campaigns targeting women and minority populations. Today, the American
Heart Association supports public wellness with several initiatives. One initiative, Go Red for
Women, educates consumers on the over half a million annual mortality rate among women due to
heart disease, a fact that many women overlooked when the program launched. Another campaign,
called Healthy For Good, teaches consumers how to slowly incorporate healthy living into their
lifestyles. Yet another initiative, EmPOWERED To Serve (ETS), promotes healthy life styles in

Specialist Veterinarian
I´m genuinely passionate when it comes to helping animals, and I legitimately enjoy working with
them. So, if I could, I would start a specialist veterinary business. I believe that it is a splendid idea
since there is a lack of specialist veterinarians (people who work with animals like reptiles, avians,
and exotic animals) out there, so treatment for certain pets is becoming arduous to find, and fairly
exorbitant. I know that it is burdensome to have a diseased and/or hurting animal and not being able
to do anything about it. As a result of this, I want to be able to assist people with their problems so
they don't have to deal with an early loss of a beloved pet. In order to start this business I would
have to execute a specific series of

Human Resources Specialist
Human resources has been a vital part of society for many years but they have been slightly
overlooked throughout time. A human resources specialist is a big piece to the department. So what
is a human resources specialist you may ask? Under general supervision, they perform a variety of
responsible, confidential, technical, and office administrative human resources support functions.
That includes assisting with the recruitment, testing, and selection of staff, benefits administration,
payroll and HRIS database administration. How to become a human resources specialist is the
question people may ask. Although the job does require an education beyond a high school diploma,
it is one of the early stages among the human resources rankings. (BLS) The history of human
resources goes all the way back to the early 1900s. While human resources management was on the
rise, new positions in the field were created. Various types of specialists were created during this
time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can still get in the field with an associate's or without a degree at all. The most attractive
education tho is getting at least a bachelor's. There are several different types of majors a person
could possibly take if they want to become a specialist. Business Management would likely be the
best choice for this career. Since business management is a common major to take, there are many
colleges around the area who offer it. Kent State, Ohio State, Akron, Bowling Green, and many
more would be a great choice for this major. To become a human resources specialist, you typically
start out as a human resources assistant. Assistants are primarily used for maintaining employee
records. There are many important skills you need to possess to be involved in human resources.
Organization, multitasking, negotiation, problem and communication are essential to keep a position
in human resources.

Designing A Sustainable Competitive Advantage For...
As a set of business activities that add value to goods and services sold to consumers, retailing
involves key strategies in order to build a sustainable, competitive advantage for companies
(Peterson & Balasubramanian, 2002). These strategies involve identifying a retailer's target market
and satisfying those needs. Through observing the retail strategy used by the company T2, this essay
will ascertain and analyse their retail mix in order to determine the competitive advantage T2 has
and whether it is sustainable or not.
Before T2 can be analysed in terms of the retailing strategy used, it must first be defined as a retail
outlet. It is a speciality, store–based, franchise organisation (Reynolds et al., 2007) that was founded
over 18 years ago by an interior designer named Maryanne Shearer (Shearer, The Making of T2,
2015). Beginning as a retail store in Fitzroy, Australia, it was seen as an opportunity to re–invent tea
for the new generations to come; to make tea fashionable. T2 has expanded its reach to over 65
stores worldwide, including New Zealand. All of the T2 retail stores provide a sensory experience
for the customers, allowing them to explore the immersive world of tea drinking (Shearer,
Philosophy, 2015). T2's move over to New Zealand occurred in 2013, with the opening of the Queen
Street store. This store will be analysed in terms of retail mix and strategies.
The retail strategy of a company outlines the retailer's target market, the plan that will be

Retail is India's largest industry, accounting for over 10 per cent of the country's GDP and around
eight per cent of the employment. Retail industry in India is at the crossroads. It has emerged as one
of the most dynamic and fast paced industries with several players entering the market.
Retailing in India is gradually inching its way toward becoming the next boom industry. The whole
concept of shopping has altered in terms of format and consumer buying behaviour, ushering in a
revolution in shopping in India. Modern retail has entered India as seen in sprawling shopping

Recently, the Government announced its intention to open up the retail sector to foreign investment.
It is still, however, debating whether to allow 26 per cent or 49 per cent FDI in the sector.
Benefits of FDI in Retail Sector:
Higher competition would lead to higher quality in products and services.
Better lifestyle as better products would be introduced.
Exports would increase due to greater sourcing of major players.
Investment in whole supply chain would increase.
Technology would be upgraded in terms of logistics, production, and distribution channels.
The markets of the sector would flourish and develop.
Employment would increase and skills & manpower will develop.
A strong retailing sector would promote tourism.
Economies of scale would help lower consumer prices and increase the purchasing power of the
consumer.
In the long term it will be beneficial in the up–gradation of agriculture and small scale & medium
scale industries.
Supportive policy
The government has been opening up various sectors and privatize some sectors (telecom, aviation,
insurance and energy). This shows its positive attitude to FDI inflows, Retailing has already been
looked at as a prospective area for FDI. The Government is also promoting investment in supply
chains and infrastructure like real estate through FDI to facilitate retail growth.

Review Of ' Writing A Wall Street Op '
To begin with, Flash Boys is terrible. It is not just a major whiff, but a travesty. And it really ticked
me off.
Lewis had a major incentive to over–hype the story, as he all but admitted. I fully agree with Cliff
Asness of AQR Capital, who wrote in a Wall Street op ed: "Making mountains out of molehills sells
more books than a study of molehills." That is more or less what happened here. Lewis wanted to
sell a lot of books. He wanted to capture "lightning in a bottle" (to use his own phrase). He captured
irresponsible hyperbole instead.
In Flash Boys, Lewis' immense talent as a writer works against him. He is a master of storycraft – of
telling a complex story through the lens of key players. But when the actual story is distorted ...

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, published in 1923, is the fictionalized version of Jesse
Livermore's true story. A key point in the story is when Livermore (aka Larry Livingston) goes from
trading in the "bucket shops" to actually trading real equities on the exchanges, by way of the ticker
tape. In this book, more than 90 years old now, Livermore talks about how his "bucket shop" trading
style had to adjust because instant fills were not available in the real world. He talked of a "lag" in
the tape that forced him to adjust his style. Sound familiar? Liquidity has always been an issue. The
more size you want to move, the more of an issue it becomes. There has always been a need for
middlemen to provide it, and friction / incentive issues in doing so, ever since the fabled meeting
under the Buttonwood tree.
In the late 1980s, the Justice department busted 46 traders and brokers in the Chicago trading pits.
The stealing had gotten so bad, the FBI came onto the trading floor. At the turn of the 21st century,
the stealing was still bad. I was an international commodity broker as my first job out of school circa
1998. We had lots of hedge clients, and did a lot of business with futures giant Refco (who later
imploded in a fireball of corruption). I remember countless screaming conversations

Family Development Specialists
Since the duties of a Child or Family Development Specialist is helping people (families) manage
on their own with their children, their education as well as their children's education and
employment and much more. I honestly believe that there are going to be numerous issues that a
Child or Family Development Specialist will face in around ten years from now, but, I believe
employment will be the most pressing issue. Today, jobs are not easy to find and people are not
maintaining the jobs that they are in. Being unemployment is frequently considered to be frictional,
cyclical, or structural. Frictional unemployment is people who work and have determined to leave
the job that they are currently doing to seek another job. Usually frictionally unemployed are people
who are not employed for a while. These people might be looking for a job that has a leadership
positions or they might decide to go back to school so that they would get the job that they desire.
Finally, cyclical unemployment is not voluntary and it is basically the effect of making lags,
depressions, or business reformation (Moore & Asay, 2012). Furthermore, the formal government's
rate of people who are living without a job had increased from approximately 4.6 percent in the
middle of the year 2007 to around 9.4 percent in the month of May of 2009. Moreover, in twenty

Making Digital Outcomes And Specialists Work Better For You
Draft title: Making Digital Outcomes and Specialists work better for you (Part 1)
We 've been continuously improving Digital Outcomes and Specialists since it arrived on the Digital
Marketplace in April. Our development team works in 2 week sprints. These are set periods during
which specific work is completed. During each sprint, we work on new features and changes that are
prioritised according to the user need and its impact. Because each sprint is only 2 weeks, it also
means that we can take in new user feedback and reprioritise what we need to work on.
There have been 5 sprints during the time that Digital Outcomes and Specialists has been available.
We also opened G–Cloud 8 submissions and introduced an improved way to return signed
framework agreements in this period. But, our main focus has been on identifying and solving any
problems that our users have with Digital Outcomes and Specialists.
We have identified and solved several user needs. These changes are now live on the Digital
Marketplace. In our next post, we'll be updating you on some of the things we're currently working
on to make Digital Outcomes and Specialists better. But first, we'd like to talk about some problems
we found, and the ways we have solved them.

that skateboarding is the reason, but there is no certain number or percentage of how many people

numbers are provided like say all business owners or 98 out of 100 etc. An approriate survey should

Clinical Nurse Specialist And Nurse Practitioner Role...
Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Practitioner Role Delineation
Sarah Carr
University of Regina
Abstract
Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are both considered advanced
practice nurses (APNs) in Canada (Donald et al., 2010). Although these roles have existed in Canada
for decades (Canadian Nurses Association, 2008), confusion still remains about the titles and exact
roles that these professionals play (Donald et al., 2010). This paper will use the Saskatchewan
Nursing Advanced Practice model as a framework to highlight the similarities and differences
between both types of advanced practice nurse. The scope of practice, registration, education,
practice settings, and effectiveness of CNSs and NPs will be examined. Although their roles overlap,
CNSs and NPs have both been shown to be important members of the health care team (DiCenso &
Bryant–Lukosius, 2010). Research has shown that adding CNSs and NPs to our health care system
can increase patient satisfaction, decrease wait times, and decrease readmissions (DiCenso &
Bryant–Lukosius, 2010). Increased public and health care professional awareness is needed to have
these roles fully incorporated into our current health care system (DiCenso & Bryant–Lukosius,
2010).
Clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) are both critical members of the
health care team. However, there is often confusion about the titles and roles of

PRACTICITIONER A Practitioner is someone who is engaged in a particular area of study,
discipline, and practice, usually found in the religious, arts, or medical fields. It is a person who
practices his or her profession on a regular basis and has expertise in their occupation. People come

Child Life Specialist Research Paper
Child life specialists play an increasingly important role in health care by helping children and
families cope and adjust to the challenges of hospital visits. Although a child life specialist's
contribution to the health care experience of children and families can vary, their primary goal is to
support the emotional needs of children with the aim of helping them understand the hospital
environment. Secondly, child life specialists can help to provide positive play therapy experiences
for children to help reduce anxiety and fear. Additionally, they can help prepare children for surgery

I also obtained my Early Childhood Education Certification from Niagara College. I have learned
that with appropriate accommodations and a dedication to creating an optimal environment, any
child can be provided the opportunity to overcome personal obstacles and challenges. Although my
experiences have primarily been in the school setting, I believe the knowledge and skills I have
gained will benefit me when supporting children and their families in a hospital setting. I have
learned through my experiences in the classrooms that every child is unique. My education has
taught me that the planning and implementation of strategies, activities, and programs must be
tailored to meet the needs of the child, building on their strengths.
I possess a variety of qualities and characteristics that would allow me to be a child life specialist.

it rewarding to watch children learn, grow, and develop and I believe that this love easily transfers to

Examining the Role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist in...
Historically, the American Medical Association (AMA) has continuously contended the progression
of nursing practice, in particular advanced nursing practice (Keeling & Bigbee, 2005). They have
done so by opposing the advances of nursing practice claiming the broader and more specialized
roles of advanced practice nurses (APNs), which includes diagnosing and prescribing, encroaches
on physician practice and claim nurses are not educationally sufficiently prepared to take on these
roles (Summers & Summers, 2007). The medical profession posits APNs should be supervised by
physicians in their advance practice roles. Examples of such opposition are evident in for example
AMA's posting of a recent speech given by Nancy Nielsen (2009) stating ... Show more content on

This paper will specifically explore the prescriptive authorities for APNs in the State of California
and examine the CNS's inclusion in this policy.
Policy In Question
In the State of California, the Business and Professions Code pertaining to Healing Arts, makes
provisions for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Certified Nurse–Midwives (CNMs) to gain prescriptive
authority (CA BRN, 2002, CA BRN, 2010). This policy stipulates this privilege to be accompanied
with the stringent criteria that NPs and CNMs can only furnish prescriptions and medical devices
under the supervision of a physician or under standard protocols sanctioned by physicians. The
California Board of Registered Nursing (CA BRN) along with the State's Business and Professions
Code do not however, advocate for the inclusion of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) amongst those
APNs authorized to be able to furnish (California's legal terminology for "ordering" medications)
prescriptions (CA BRN, 2003).
The only CA BRN policy affecting CNSs and signed into legislation as assembly bill (AB) 90
(Cunneen) in 1998, addresses the minimum educational requirement for the CNS being masters
prepared with a minimum of 500 hours of practicum and the stipulation that no nurse or
organization can utilize the title of a CNS unless it is intended for someone who has actually
fulfilled the requirements (CA BRN, 1998). The policy addresses the CNS's role within the scope of

white with cataracts. Burnt skin now covered his face and his jaw was snapping open and shut at the

Diabetes Nurse Specialists
Introduction
The article 'The cost–effectiveness of substituting physicians with diabetes nurse specialists: a
randomized controlled trail with 2–year follow up' (Elke E.A. Arts, 2011) effectively shows that the
care provided by diabetes nurse specialists for people with diabetes mellitus types 1 and 2 is very
comparable to the care provided by physicians. A quantity research method was used in this study.
In this paper, I will be making an overall critique of the article; I will be critiquing the conceptual
phase, the empirical phase and the interpretive phase.
Critique of conceptual phase
The research problem is that there are increasing numbers of people with diabetes mellitus and good
quality care has to be provided for these people, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Elke and colleagues said one of the limitations is that there was no way of actually measuring the
actions of each care giver; there was no way of detaching each activity, because all the activities are
interdependent (Elke E.A. Arts, 2011). The research was not specific enough. There is no way of
actually proving what kind of care each care giver provided (Elke E.A. Arts, 2011). The second
limitation of this study is that the participants in the study were patients with complex cases of
diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2 from a hospital based setting, so this limits the general validity of the
study. The results of this study cannot be applied to simpler cases in a primary care setting. One of
the strengths of this study is that Elke and collegues ensured that there were good inclusion criteria.
The inclusion criteria ensured that a homogenous sample was collected so this will prevent
erroneous results. The second strength of the study was that it was able to effectively show that
diabetes nurse specialist can provide care similar to the care provided by physicians to patients with
diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2.This article is important because the number of people with
diabetes mellitus will be 336 million in the next twenty years (Elke E.A. Arts, 2011). These people
will need health care. The results of this article show diabetes nurse specialists provide similar care
to the care provided by physicians in a hospital– based

Retail Stores: External Strategic Environments For...
Part II. External Strategic Environments for Department Stores (SIC 5311)
Department store globalization. Retail stores are focusing on factors that affect strategic
environments in globalization. Drastic declines in prices of ocean freight per ton, air transport per
passenger mile and policies leading to the opening of new markets have played a major role in the
expansion of trade in recent years (Krugman, Paul 1995). Domestic stores, with the advent of the
internet, no longer need to have a physical presence in these new revenue outlets, and can work
diligently with their manufacturers and suppliers to grow and reach customers worldwide. Cost
savings passed on through the value chain will go to the bottom line.

great levels of scarcity numerous individuals need to persevere. Indeed, even professional vocations

Essay On LED Lighting
THE EFFECTS OF ALBEDO LED LIGHTING ON RETAIL SPACES
Opposite to some popular wisdom, retail stores are not dead, and they will not be replaced by online
operations. People (who use a product or service) continue to spend money at retail establishments,
if for no other reason than to see the physical products that they might later order online. The store's
goal in this competitive (surrounding conditions) is to make the retail outlet and its products so
attractive that the (related to people who use a product or service) (instances of buying things for
money) the product right then and there, rather than ordering it electronically. LED lighting for retail

A store can install a variety of LED lighting options to backlight products or to create indirect or
quiet lighting in different parts of a store. Display cases for smaller items, such as jewelry of
personal fashion can be lit with brighter LED's that draw attention to fine patterns and textures.
Since LED lights operate at low temperatures and without creating the excess heat that is just like
traditional display case lighting, the store's products that are bought and sold will not be harmed by
any excess warmth in display cases.
Many stores operate on thin (how much money is being made), which forces them to reduce
operating costs wherever possible. LED lighting for retail has the possible ability to reduce a retail
store's electrical utility costs by more than half. Modern LED lighting is so (producing a lot with
very little waste) that it can create the same or better lighting as a traditional lighting fixture with
less than half of the electrical energy input. LED bulbs also last longer than other forms of lighting,
and the store's lighting maintenance costs will be reduced. LED lighting for retail therefore has the
possible ability to increase a store's sales and to reduce overhead costs, all of which gives directly to
a store's (money made/good things received).
Stores that operate stand alone locations that are separate from large malls and other shopping
outlets can make their stores more inviting with bright exterior LED lighting. A shopper will

By 1986, the ultimate fate of the Big O was decided by a grand fire.[15] Afterwards, Johnson and

Weybosset Street today you will still be able to see the tremendous clock tower that was once owned
by The Outlet. The Shepards department store was another department store that rose and fell in
Providence's earlier years. Shepards was the department store that was the biggest rival to The
Outlet. It opened in 1880 at the corner of Westminster and Clemence Streets. According to Midge
Frazel, customers could shop and have your purchases sent by delivery truck to your home if you
lived near the city.[16] This would create an easy and affordable way to get the items you needed,
especially if you needed a bunch of items! Shepards was also one of the three department stores that
were connected by the Tri–Strore Bridge. This bridge connected Gladding, Shepards and Cherry &
Webb. The bridge was built shortly before 1900.[17] The bridge encouraged people to not only go to
one of the stores, but all three. So, if you liked one store you were apt to go to try the other by just

Changing the Target Audience in Retail Sales
"On average, middle–aged consumers devote 39 percent of their retail expenditure to department
store products and services, while for younger consumers the average is only 25 percent. Since the
number of middle–aged people will increase dramatically within the next decade, department stores
can expect retail sales to increase significantly during that period. Furthermore, to take advantage of
the trend, these stores should begin to replace some of those products intended to attract the younger
consumer with products intended to attract the middle–aged consumer." Essay 1: The argument that

Ultimately, the argument might have been strengthened by making it clear that the business volumes
of both types of consumers are the same and comparable, that the increase of a certain type of
consumers are correlated with the increase of the retail sales, and that the growth rate of the younger
consumers are the same as that of the middle–aged consumers. Essay 3: Based on an expected
increase in the number of middle–aged people during the next decade, the author predicts that retail
sales at department stores will increase significantly over the next ten years. To bolster this
prediction, the author cites statistics showing that middle–aged people devote a much higher
percentage of their retail expenditure to department–store services and products than younger
consumers do. Since the number of middle–aged consumers is on the rise and since they spend more
than younger people on department–store goods and services, the author further recommends that
department stores begin to adjust their inventories to capitalize on this trend. Specifically, it is
recommended that department stores increase their inventory of products aimed at middle–aged
consumers and decrease their inventory of products aimed at younger consumers. This argument is
problematic for two reasons. First, an increase in the number of middle–aged people does not

Health Care Delivery Needs Provide Clinical Nurse...
Unpredictable care delivery needs provide clinical nurse specialists with unique and interesting daily
responsibilities. The role is the ideal career for nursing professionals who enjoy variety and
challenge. Due to their enhanced skill sets and responsibilities, clinical nurse specialists make
significant impacts on caregiving. Nursing professionals choosing this career shape organizational

innovations. Historically, the medical community made little effort to distinguish the clinical nurse
specialist and nurse practitioner role. However, society's reliance on nurse practitioners to fill the
United States physician shortage now requires state boards to delineate the disciplines for regulatory
reasons.

Clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) typically perform varying tasks each day. [1] Some begin their day

patients. At times, CNSs make hospital stay arrangements and visit clients to check on their
condition or encourage them before complex surgeries.
Clinical nurse specialists also attend to client families by providing support and relaying patient
status updates. They meet with consultants on behalf of patients to determine potential action plans.
CNSs also review patient tests and historical vital statistics to monitor client conditions. Using this

Health communications professionals lead impactful initiatives designed to reduce harmful behavior among the most at–risk populations in the United States. Health campaigns target the reasons why individuals follow specific detrimental patterns. However, delivering public health message is not enough. Health communications specialists plan public campaigns based on audience size and issue severity. • 6. Specialist Veterinarian I´m genuinely passionate when it comes to helping animals, and I legitimately enjoy working with them. So, if I could, I would start a specialist veterinary business. I believe that it is a splendid idea since there is a lack of specialist veterinarians (people who work with animals like reptiles, avians, and exotic animals) out there, so treatment for certain pets is becoming arduous to find, and fairly exorbitant. I know that it is burdensome to have a diseased and/or hurting animal and not being able to do anything about it. As a result of this, I want to be able to assist people with their problems so they don't have to deal with an early loss of a beloved pet. In order to start this business I would have to execute a specific series of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Designing A Sustainable Competitive Advantage For... As a set of business activities that add value to goods and services sold to consumers, retailing involves key strategies in order to build a sustainable, competitive advantage for companies (Peterson & Balasubramanian, 2002). These strategies involve identifying a retailer's target market and satisfying those needs. Through observing the retail strategy used by the company T2, this essay will ascertain and analyse their retail mix in order to determine the competitive advantage T2 has and whether it is sustainable or not. Before T2 can be analysed in terms of the retailing strategy used, it must first be defined as a retail outlet. It is a speciality, store–based, franchise organisation (Reynolds et al., 2007) that was founded over 18 years ago by an interior designer named Maryanne Shearer (Shearer, The Making of T2, 2015). Beginning as a retail store in Fitzroy, Australia, it was seen as an opportunity to re–invent tea for the new generations to come; to make tea fashionable. T2 has expanded its reach to over 65 stores worldwide, including New Zealand. All of the T2 retail stores provide a sensory experience for the customers, allowing them to explore the immersive world of tea drinking (Shearer, Philosophy, 2015). T2's move over to New Zealand occurred in 2013, with the opening of the Queen Street store. This store will be analysed in terms of retail mix and strategies. • 15. Review Of ' Writing A Wall Street Op ' To begin with, Flash Boys is terrible. It is not just a major whiff, but a travesty. And it really ticked me off. Lewis had a major incentive to over–hype the story, as he all but admitted. I fully agree with Cliff Asness of AQR Capital, who wrote in a Wall Street op ed: "Making mountains out of molehills sells more books than a study of molehills." That is more or less what happened here. Lewis wanted to sell a lot of books. He wanted to capture "lightning in a bottle" (to use his own phrase). He captured irresponsible hyperbole instead. In Flash Boys, Lewis' immense talent as a writer works against him. He is a master of storycraft – of telling a complex story through the lens of key players. But when the actual story is distorted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yet for Lewis it barely rates a paragraph. Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, published in 1923, is the fictionalized version of Jesse Livermore's true story. A key point in the story is when Livermore (aka Larry Livingston) goes from trading in the "bucket shops" to actually trading real equities on the exchanges, by way of the ticker tape. In this book, more than 90 years old now, Livermore talks about how his "bucket shop" trading style had to adjust because instant fills were not available in the real world. He talked of a "lag" in the tape that forced him to adjust his style. Sound familiar? Liquidity has always been an issue. The more size you want to move, the more of an issue it becomes. There has always been a need for middlemen to provide it, and friction / incentive issues in doing so, ever since the fabled meeting under the Buttonwood tree. In the late 1980s, the Justice department busted 46 traders and brokers in the Chicago trading pits. The stealing had gotten so bad, the FBI came onto the trading floor. At the turn of the 21st century, the stealing was still bad. I was an international commodity broker as my first job out of school circa 1998. We had lots of hedge clients, and did a lot of business with futures giant Refco (who later imploded in a fireball of corruption). I remember countless screaming conversations ... Family Development Specialists Since the duties of a Child or Family Development Specialist is helping people (families) manage on their own with their children, their education as well as their children's education and employment and much more. I honestly believe that there are going to be numerous issues that a Child or Family Development Specialist will face in around ten years from now, but, I believe employment will be the most pressing issue. Today, jobs are not easy to find and people are not maintaining the jobs that they are in. Being unemployment is frequently considered to be frictional, cyclical, or structural. Frictional unemployment is people who work and have determined to leave the job that they are currently doing to seek another job. Usually frictionally unemployed are people who are not employed for a while. These people might be looking for a job that has a leadership positions or they might decide to go back to school so that they would get the job that they desire. Finally, cyclical unemployment is not voluntary and it is basically the effect of making lags, depressions, or business reformation (Moore & Asay, 2012). Furthermore, the formal government's rate of people who are living without a job had increased from approximately 4.6 percent in the middle of the year 2007 to around 9.4 percent in the month of May of 2009. Making Digital Outcomes And Specialists Work Better For You Draft title: Making Digital Outcomes and Specialists work better for you (Part 1) We 've been continuously improving Digital Outcomes and Specialists since it arrived on the Digital Marketplace in April. Our development team works in 2 week sprints. These are set periods during which specific work is completed. During each sprint, we work on new features and changes that are prioritised according to the user need and its impact. Because each sprint is only 2 weeks, it also means that we can take in new user feedback and reprioritise what we need to work on. There have been 5 sprints during the time that Digital Outcomes and Specialists has been available. We also opened G–Cloud 8 submissions and introduced an improved way to return signed framework agreements in this period. But, our main focus has been on identifying and solving any problems that our users have with Digital Outcomes and Specialists. We have identified and solved several user needs. These changes are now live on the Digital Marketplace. In our next post, we'll be updating you on some of the things we're currently working on to make Digital Outcomes and Specialists better. But first, we'd like to talk about some problems we found, and the ways we have solved them. • 27. Clinical Nurse Specialist And Nurse Practitioner Role... Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Practitioner Role Delineation Sarah Carr University of Regina Abstract Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are both considered advanced practice nurses (APNs) in Canada (Donald et al., 2010). Although these roles have existed in Canada for decades (Canadian Nurses Association, 2008), confusion still remains about the titles and exact roles that these professionals play (Donald et al., 2010). This paper will use the Saskatchewan Nursing Advanced Practice model as a framework to highlight the similarities and differences between both types of advanced practice nurse. The scope of practice, registration, education, practice settings, and effectiveness of CNSs and NPs will be examined. Although their roles overlap, CNSs and NPs have both been shown to be important members of the health care team (DiCenso & Bryant–Lukosius, 2010). Research has shown that adding CNSs and NPs to our health care system can increase patient satisfaction, decrease wait times, and decrease readmissions (DiCenso & Bryant–Lukosius, 2010). Increased public and health care professional awareness is needed to have these roles fully incorporated into our current health care system (DiCenso & Bryant–Lukosius, 2010). Clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) are both critical members of the health care team. However, there is often confusion about the titles and roles of ... Historically, the American Medical Association (AMA) has continuously contended the progression of nursing practice, in particular advanced nursing practice (Keeling & Bigbee, 2005). They have done so by opposing the advances of nursing practice claiming the broader and more specialized roles of advanced practice nurses (APNs), which includes diagnosing and prescribing, encroaches on physician practice and claim nurses are not educationally sufficiently prepared to take on these roles (Summers & Summers, 2007). The medical profession posits APNs should be supervised by physicians in their advance practice roles. This paper will specifically explore the prescriptive authorities for APNs in the State of California and examine the CNS's inclusion in this policy. Policy In Question In the State of California, the Business and Professions Code pertaining to Healing Arts, makes provisions for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Certified Nurse–Midwives (CNMs) to gain prescriptive authority (CA BRN, 2002, CA BRN, 2010). This policy stipulates this privilege to be accompanied with the stringent criteria that NPs and CNMs can only furnish prescriptions and medical devices under the supervision of a physician or under standard protocols sanctioned by physicians. The California Board of Registered Nursing (CA BRN) along with the State's Business and Professions Code do not however, advocate for the inclusion of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) amongst those APNs authorized to be able to furnish (California's legal terminology for "ordering" medications) prescriptions (CA BRN, 2003). The only CA BRN policy affecting CNSs and signed into legislation as assembly bill (AB) 90 (Cunneen) in 1998, addresses the minimum educational requirement for the CNS being masters prepared with a minimum of 500 hours of practicum and the stipulation that no nurse or organization can utilize the title of a CNS unless it is intended for someone who has actually fulfilled the requirements (CA BRN, 1998). Elke and colleagues said one of the limitations is that there was no way of actually measuring the actions of each care giver; there was no way of detaching each activity, because all the activities are interdependent (Elke E.A. The second limitation of this study is that the participants in the study were patients with complex cases of diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2 from a hospital based setting, so this limits the general validity of the study. The results of this study cannot be applied to simpler cases in a primary care setting. One of the strengths of this study is that Elke and collegues ensured that there were good inclusion criteria.
