2. • The name we have chosen for
our artist is Faceless; the reason
for doing so is because our style
of music is originally a historical
song which was released in the
50’s/60’s etc. that has been
remixed and dubbed over into a
more contemporary dub-step
song. This strips the identity of the
song as it’s not originally from the
artist but something that has
already been created,
furthermore, our artist is hardly
ever shown in our videos or is
either hidden somewhere within
the crowd or appears as cameos
such as a passer-by.
3. The genre we have
chosen is Dubstep
collaborated with the
‘Oldies’. The reason of
choice was electronic
music is currently hot
within the era we are in
today, especially
Dubstep. Additionally
Dubstep is quite unique
because it originated
from both reggae and
electronic music, plus, by
collaborating it with an
old song, we will be able
to add a modern twist to
the old song, bringing it
back and reviving it.
4. The song we chose is ‘Mr. Postman’ by Cragga
(DUBSTEP Remix) –

The reason we chose this iconic song was because
this version of the song is yet still old but has new fresh
elements imbedded into it which fits our genre of
music. However young people wouldn’t really listen to
the original version of this song, but from this new edit
it will intrigue a wider target audience.
5. We’ll be using our friend,
Thomas to be the artist of the
band. Even though we aren’t
going to see his face during
the music video we want our
artist to have an iconic look
and Thomas has a huge hightop which will be displayed
on the album cover via
silhouette and behind a mask.
6. Our target audience is university students approximately
aged between 16-25. The reason why our target audience is
university students is because they are renowned for going
to house parties and raves which usually involve Dubstep
and electronic music, therefore our music would appeal to
them.
7. • The way we will promote our artist is through
advertisements such as leaflets, posters,
flyers etc. as it’ll be a easier and more
effective way to endorse our artist to a wide
audience as it’ll be everywhere for people
to see. We will also use the media through
social networks like Facebook, twitter,
instagram etc., in order to advertise it to our
friends and family and help spread the word
of our upcoming artist.
8. • . The style of our artist will be quite effortless and
relaxed as most dub-step artists don’t take too
much consideration and thought in their dress
sense. A simple outfit such as jeans and a
white/black t-shirt will be more of a likely outfit
for our artist as its quite easy to piece together
and it’s also an easier choice of clothing to
wear due to the fact that our artist will be
based in club like environments and would be
moving around a lot and interacting with the
crowd. Therefore they also need to feel
comfortable and free.
9. For our music video we will create two different
time periods; the 1960’s and the present day, and
will show this difference by using a split screen. We
came up with the idea to have a female
protagonist who is based in the 1960 era writing to
her boyfriend who is in the present day, with the
postman who the female is waiting for, hence the
lyrics ‘hey Mr Postman, where are you?’ acting as
the transporter of communication. Due to the two
different time periods, we decided to have the
female writing a letter to her boyfriend, however,
when he receives it he gets it in the form of a text
message.
