2. Front cover
• The genre of the Digi-Pak with the
colour being simple and red suggest an
indie genre. However, the black bold
writing then establishes the RnB tone
and feel to it. The picture used of the
artist, uses darer tones and lighting, this
could therefore suggest the album has a
message which is a lot more deep and
meaningful. The use of the simple
theme has a strong approach at getting
the simple message of love across. The
uses of roses is very effective, as the
have connotations of relationships, love
and romance, and this is the message
he wants to bring across in his album. It
also represents his emotions side and
shows many representations and
messages throughout the album.
3. Inside cover and CD
• Again the CD is designed in
red with the artists name
across it. The use of the artists
name being black allows it to
stand out, and reminds the
audience who the album is all
about and who the artist is.
Again the use of the colour red
has connotations of love, lust
and romance. I believe this
message has been brought out
throughout the whole album
throughout he use of colour
scheme writing and design
thats been used throughout.
4. Back cover
• The list of songs on the back cover
tells a story of love and his affection
toward his fiancee. Some people say
the album is a wedding gift to his wife
as a sign of what she means to him
through his lyrics and the music. The
album is a lot different to any others
that he has made, he tends to go for
more monochrome themes such as
black and white. On the contrary this
album contains elements of red. Red
has connotations of love and romance
and this could be a technique which
he used to express this through his
album. It could also suggest a new
chapter in his life where he is looking
forward to the future, therefore his
album is called ‘Love in the future’.
