2. RESPONSIBILITY AS A COATING INSPECTOR:
My responsibilities during the project included but not limited to the following tasks:
• Conform and secure that corrosion protection work by paint systems is carried out according to
the specifications, relevant standards, and good practice though monitoring, including reference
area sampling and spot control.
• Knowledge of Three Party Agreement(TPA) as per the Performance Standard for protective
coating(PSPC) Procedure
• Prepare Coating Technical File(Corrosion prevention tank surface preparation, coating system
Repair procedures,etc…) for PSPC Vessels
• Carrying out inspections, analyzing and assessment of painting and coating systems in the
industry conversant with international standards like SSPC and NACE
• Extensive Knowledge in various types of surface preparation i.e.blasting,water jetting, power tool
cleaning & coating in various fields
• Blasting & painting / Coating inspection which includes humidity check, Blasting profile check, Dry
& Wet film thickness check and adhesion test
• Monitor and record climatic condition
• Ensure that the paint equipment is adequate and meet the specification.
• Ensure the steel preparation according to the specification
• Ensure the paints are applied in accordance with the specification and the manufacturers
instruction
• Keep up to date notes of all phases of the work, do the report with the requirements.
• Inspect the material samples at site to incorporate with the commented approvals.
• Adhere to quality control & quality assurance policies and procedures
• Prepare corporate and project coating specification for marine, Oil &gas, Air pressure vessels and
protective coating.
• Troubleshooting of coating problems

• Responsible for verifying that the coating applied at site is applied in accordance with the
technical specification, procedures and manufacture data recommendations.
