Statements of sub-contractor for Coating Material Receiving and
storage, Surface Preparation, Coating Application and Final
Inspection prior to submmiting to Client for final approval.
• Perform field inspection as per project specification, international
standards, Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards i.e SAES-H-001,
002, 003, 004, 100. 101, 102, 200. 201 & 204.
• Pre-Qualification Inspection and assessment of Contractors, Sub-
Contractors and Third Party Company Facilities, Shops and /or
Laboratories.
• Review and Verification of Crew Supervisor, Abrasive Blasters and
Coating Applicators Qualification Certificates as per Saudi Aramco
Applicable SAEP316. And arrange Qualification Test for new Crew
Supervisors, Abrasive Blasters and Coating Applicators.
• Pre-Blast surface checking for assessment of salt contamination, weld
quality, material defects, corrosion levels etc and advice for pressure

Information, Storage, Handling, Preventive Measures, Emergency

• Monitoring of Environmental conditions, ambient temperature,
Substrate temperature, Dew point and Relative Humidity before
starting abrasive blasting and coating application.
• Inspection of blasted Surface for visual cleanliness and profile
(Replica tape and comparator methods–ISO 8501-1), Dust
contamination visual inspection as per ISO-8502-3 and determining
Swedish Standard Sa-1,Sa 2,Sa 2-1/2 and Sa3 for manual and wheel
abrator machine blasting.
• Report directly to the quality control Manager for all sites Quality
Assurance and Quality Control activities.
• Monitoring all inspection, testing and measuring equipments and
reviewed calibration certificates and expiry date.
• Monitoring Specified paint quality, application methods as per
manufacturer recommendation, ensuring correct mixing proportions,
mixing time, recoat intervals and curing periods as per temperature
and required thickness by using wet film thickness and dry film
thickness gauges.
• Performing all inspection as per International Quality Standards like
BGAS,,SSPC & Saudi Aramco specifications and project drawings
and specifications.
• Ensuring that adequate precautions are taken to protect the works
from weather and other hazards during application of paint and
coating.
• Perform Quality Control and over sight of construction work and
activities, and monitor contractor inspections and testing as per
requirements of approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project
Specifications and Drawings.
• Coordinate blasting and painting work and ensure compliance with
Project’s specification and international industrial standards.
• Monitoring and verifying blasting and painting quality issues i.e.
measuring weather conditions, surface profile, paint thickness, holiday
detection test…etc to ensure compliance with relevant Project’s
specification.
• Ensure all surface preparation and application is conducted in
accordance with the specified standard for that painting system
according to procedures/specifications.

5. • Maintain a Daily logbook & Inspection Log reporting on a weekly
basis.
• Prepare and monitor punch list items, ensuring they are being
resolved prior to sail away.
• Execution, Inspection and Supervision of Painting Jobs as
per the requirement of Project Specifications.
