Examples:
Cora is listening to CD’s.
Cora está escuchando los discos.
Pedro and Luis are eating.
Pedro y Luis están comiendo.
I am writing a letter.
Estoy escribiendo una carta.
5. Estar & Present Participles
The present participle of verbs
ending in -eer has the ending
-yendo.
Example: leer = leyendo
¿Qué estás leyendo ahora?
This is used much less frequently in
Spanish than in English. We use it to
show that an action is happening
NOW.

Ex:
Carlos repara coches.
Carlos repairs cars. (generally speaking)
Carlos está reparando un Mercedes.
Carlos is repairing a Mercedes (right now)
