1. How did you attract and address your
audience
I would say that I mainly attracted my audience through the enigmatic
qualities of the film I made. They are left curious after seeing the opening
of the film and want to continue watching, to discover where the narrative
takes them.
I believe this to be a very powerful tool in the world of film, as it attracts a
huge audience.
Furthermore, through the fact that it is an independently distributed and
produced film, it adds to the sense of intrigue, as they are known to be
very much experimental and original with their concepts, implying a
definite sense of mind expansion.
2. Another factor that definitely contributes to the
attractive qualities of my film is that of the
suspenseful aspect.
I leave the viewer in waiting of some kind of
reveal of the narrative, through my opening
sequence, however there is none. This creates
suspense and desire to discover what will later
be unveiled in the film.
3. • In addition to this, I address the audience in a
non-direct way, and not through a direct way, i.e.
through the effect of a voiceover; which allows
the audience into the thoughts of the main
character and/or asking them direct questions,
such as ‘don’t you think’s’, etc).
• I have instead addressed the viewer in a non-
direct way, allowing them to watch as if they are
from a completely objective viewpoint, and are
here to watch the enigma unravel before them.
4. • Moreover, I have attracted my audience
through using a narrative that is accessible to
a large range of people; due to it being about
a person living a mundane, average life which
very many people within society experience
on a day-to-day basis, and can therefore relate
to.
