The genre of my magazine is going to be pop.
It is a well know genre that a range of different age groups listen too.
I think that there is a gap in the market for pop magazines aimed at teenagers and young adults.
The purpose of my magazine is to entertain, inform, promote and advertise to our readers.
The reason for including these 4 purposes is because it allows for us to know and understand the aims of our magazine.
My magazine will be a hard copy, I will also have an online version available via an app and a website.
The magazine will be 16 pages long.
The finish of the magazine will be glossy on the outside and will have a matte finish in the pages inside.
With the online copy we are going to be able to have a video version of the full interview.
The magazine will be £5 each, we will offer a £3.99 a month subscription to receive a copy every month of the year.
The online version will be £2.99 a month, with this you will get access to all areas of the website. With the app you will also have to pay £2.99 a month so that you can have access to it.
It will include; pop music news, interviews, photos shoots, news about new and upcoming artists, singles and album reviews, concert reviews and the top 10 each week.
Our primary audience will be 16-20.
The magazine will not target specific genders, religions, ethnicities or races.
Our aim is to appeal to anyone in the North London demographic that fits our target audience.
As our magazine is aimed at teens we will make sure to use appropriate and suitable language.
Our secondary audience will be 20+, as we do not want to target one age group specifically because music is something that appeals to people of all ages.
One of my main distribution methods is going to selling my magazine in newsagents so that teens and young adults waiting for the bus and train can buy a copy to read on there way home.
It will also be sold in main retailers such as waitrose and whsmiths.
The magazine will also be available in an online version so that it is easily accessible to everyone.
The physical magazine will be released every month, with the online version we will release updates weekly.
One of our main marketing methods will be throughs social media as it is used by teenagers and young adults.
Marketing via social media will help us to reach our primary and secondary audience.
We will also use billboards as a form of marketing, but only when our magazine gains readers as we will not have a large budget for marketing to begin with.
The font that we have chosen to use to write the double page spread in is Arial, we will use different styles of Arial such as; arial regular and arial bold
It will be in size 11
