 Varicose veins refer to elongation,
dilatation and tortuosity of the
superficial veins in many parts of the
body, commonly in the lower limbs.
 There are many methods of treatment
according to the severity of the disease.
 Untreated varicose veins are prone to
many complications such as bleeding,
acute superficial thrombophlebitis,
venous insufficiency and deep vein
thrombosis.
