creating a niche in the market.

manager, their productivity will go down
and they can even leave the firm.
12. Identification of Problems
The supervisors of the Offset press team reported only to Mr. Pradeep and
Letterpress team reported only to Mr. Gopal due to which Mr. Gopal could not
understand their working needs and their problems when Mr. Pradeep left.
Manager Mr. Gopal never communicated with the Offset press team before Mr.
Pradeep left and even after the new Organization structure.
Earlier Supervisors directly reported to Mr. Pradeep who set their targets and
reviewed their work weekly.
Mr. Pradeep also insisted that they dress well, converse in English with clients
etc… necessary etiquette.
Their was no one to have an eye on Offset press team now.
Mr. Pradeep failed in Inducting Mr. Gopal into new Technology

OP team has a superiority feeling as all the money lies in the Offset press
according to them. Offset press team had negative image of Mr. Gopal.
According to the Offset press team :Mr. Gopal has manipulated to pitch the LP boys against us.
Mr. Gopal’s entire time and energy is devoted to LP staff
He is not Progressive.
He is not prepared to meet his shortcomings
LP section has become very unhelpful.
On the other hand, LP Supervisors had their own views:
Working with ties and spouting English was like a Alien culture to them
LP team intentionally delay the work just to teach OP team a lesson which
affected the productivity and company’s Image
LP team wants OP team to be completely dependent on them.
15. What strategy must be evolved to put Print House
on the road to success ?
16. To put the Print House on the path of success following steps must be taken: Mr. Gopal should first be familiar with the new technology. He must get involved in the
Offset Press operations to explore the things and at the same time must guide and assign
them targets to achieve
LP team should also be given training for new technology so that the trained work force
can give better results by increasing productivity.
There should be no discrimination between LP team and OP team.
Team work should be the spirit of LP and OP teams. Both teams should work in unity
with the aim improving overall efficiency
Delegation of Authority by the Manager is must so that the team members get chance to
prove themselves and come out with innovative approach.
Organization structure should be one where the Highest Authority(Mr. Gopal) keeps
track of all the teams, Sections and administration. He should try to connect with the
employees more often to keep a track on them , to understand their problems and to share
and promote new ideas.
Right Organization Structure , where deserving person is given the desired role is must
for growth.
