Communication Research Methods
Donald Trump has suggested that a contest should be held as to which television network covers
him in the most "dishonest, corrupt and or/distorted" way, as he has again labeled many of the
outlets "fake news." It is one of some attacks by the president against the press coverage he receives,
with the most vitriolic coming back in August when he referred the assembled journalists as "truly
dishonest" and "sick people."Mr. Trump also used the term "your favorite president," a moniker he
has used recently – that is despite his approval ratings telling a different story."
Literature Review The press is basic to vote based system, and popularity based race is
comprehensibly deprived of the press. An open and sensible contest is not only about the prospect of
voting and the culture the way to make a selection, yet around a hands–on process where the
electorates participate in the open verbal confrontation and provide adequate information on the
meetings, approaches, competitors and the verdict process on the situation with a precise aim of
settling on sophisticated choices. Besides, the press drives around as a critical watch to popularity
founded decisions, defending the frankness in the procedure.
During the 2005 gathering to commemorate World Press Freedom Day worldwide, an affirmation
was formed which concentrated on "independent and mixed press are rudimentary for assuring

Leadership : Leadership And Leadership Essay
We live in a society or state. We can't live alone. So we live together. We cannot go ahead without a
leader or leadership. A leader can lead a society to achieve its goal. So leadership is very for our
society. Leadership lead general people and maintain rules and regulation. In the modern age we
can't imagine our society without leadership. It is a important need of a society.
WHAT IS LEADERSHIP: Leadership is the scheme that a man can motive other person and able to
control them. Leadership means the process of lead by the leader. Leadership influencing workers
and motivate to gain its aim. Leader put on the lead and the followers obey the rules and regulation
and to help the leader. So we can say that leadership is the scheme that man can motive other person

The Importance Of Free Speech
The First Amendment to the Constitution of The United States of America guarantees the right of
free speech to all Americans and allows them to freely and openly express their opinions or beliefs.
It allows citizens to openly exercise their chosen religions, utilize various media outlets to speak or
comment, and gather in assembly to protest. However, this core belief, that is so integral to
American freedom, also has many complications, most notably what do we do with people whose
opinions we don't like? This question becomes particularly difficult for public institutions and
especially so for Institutions of learning. Recently the University of Tennessee allowed political
commentator Ben Shapiro to speak on campus garnering a lot of support and even more protest.
Furthermore, on campuses across the country other highly controversial speakers such as Janet
Mock and Milo Yiannopoulos have even been protested to such a degree that they were forced to
leave for their own safety or not allowed to speak at all. So, the question again is raised, should
these people whose ideas many of us disagree with be allowed to voice their opinions? I believe that
these individuals should be allowed to speak and that it is our ethical duty to ensure they have that
right no matter how polarizing or disagreeable their opinions are. To understand why this is such an
important topic, we must first understand where the issue lies. The primary reason that many of
these speakers are not allowed

The White Working Class That Caused These Problems
Was it really the White working class that caused these problems? Or was it the companies that
outsourced their jobs overseas? The white working class are also known as the "hillbillies." They are
people who have gone through a lot of suffering but also have made a lot problems on their own.
While I definitely think that it is up to the former White working class to dig themselves out, I 'm
unsure that they 're the ones responsible for this mess. Loosing their jobs to outsourcing and loosing
their sense of hope has led them to follow Donald Trump's campaign because he sympathizes with
them and promises them economic and social changes. These families have struggled with poverty,
domestic violence, drugs, and unemployment. One of those families was J.D. Vance's family. Vance
grew up in the "Rust Belt" of Ohio, into a struggling, poor, abusive family. Vance escaped his
hardships by enrolling into the Military and going to school. However, other people weren't as lucky
as he was to get out, other families were still stuck in "Hillbilly" Middletown. Things were going
good for these families until the 1970s and 1980s came along. This is when things took a toll,
industrial jobs were cut, causing a down–ward spiral for everyone in Ohio. This is when the
alcoholism, drug use, and domestic violence became a norm. For about a century, the region seemed
to be on a upward spiral. Middletown's streets today are full of "shuttered storefronts and drug
dealers, (Rothman,New Yorker)."

Fred Meyer Organizational Structure Essay
The Process of Fred Meyer's Organizational Structure Selection

The Process of Fred Meyer's Organizational Structure Selection Introduction According to Bateman
and Snell, "Two fundamental concepts around which organizations are structured are differentiation
and integration" (2011, pg. 227). Differentiation refers to the different units that work on different
kinds of tasks with the use of different skills and work methods in an organization. These
differentiated units are combinedand coordinated into an overallproduct for the purpose of achieving
the organization's mission as the result of integration. The two fundamental concepts indicate how

Through the dozens of merchandise sections within these departments, the company is able to offer
customers one–stop shopping convenience in addition to the company operating a dairy, bakery,
kitchen, and photo plan. These functional approaches incorporate the fundamental concept of
integration with combining and coordinating products and services to offer the consumers one–stop
shopping (Smith &Albaum, 2005). This type of marketing and operational strategiesprovides
the company an advantage in multiple areas of business while contributing to the organization's
direction and mission. Fred Meyer's organizational structures are effective in the company's strategy
of seeking competitiveness by enabling each department and each product division in response to
the local competition with marketing and operational strategies. The position of the company is
measuredby concepts of awareness, use, share, and competitive evaluation in determining the
appropriate organizational structure to achieve the goals of the organization. This position of the

Propaganda On The Latest War Essay
Whether it be the drawing on a piece of paper promoting propaganda on the latest war, a
McDonald's commercial on TV, or the 15 second wait before a Youtube video, advertising is
everywhere. And advertisement does not only accompany the idea of pulling in potential buyers like
most people think, but the motive of advertising can also extend to many more serious topics, such
as politics. In a political debate, the promotion of advertisement is crucial in gathering a crowd that
will lead a presidential candidate for the chance to become the leader of the United States. But how
does one make an ad so appealing that it is able to convert someone's thoughts to the ones the
advertiser wants them to think? While there are many ads that fail in illustrating the perfect picture,
there is a vast number of them that are successful. Throughout the 2016 Donald J. Trump for
President ad, "In Donald Trump's America," the contrast of visualizations, appealing sound choices,
and the use of language are effectively portrayed to develop a strong argument that in the 2016
election of Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton, Clinton is unsuitable for presidency. In almost
every political advertisement, using contrast of visualizations between politicians is crucial in trying
to persuade more citizens in the United States for their vote. But how do they do it? In the
advertisement, "In Donald Trump's America," there are a few different methods to how they

The Greatest Leader Of The United States ' 2016 Election...
"The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. he is the one who gets
the people to do the greatest things." This is a quote by one of our past presidents,
Ronald Reagan. As the United States' 2016 election year shortly approaches candidates everywhere
are trying to be seen as great leaders to the people. One of the main ways candidates do this is by
campaigning, which involved going to speeches, going to philanthropic events, and coming up with
creative ways to advertise. Donald J. Trump a businessman turning politician is one of the head
candidates for the National Republican Party, and according to the Washington
Post is becoming a better looking candidate everyday (Milbank). Trump worked for his father's real
‐
estate company starting after college. In 1971 he was given control of the company. Trump slowly
began signing contracts with hotel and apartment complexes. He began buying properties to build
his own hotels as well. In 2015 this popular and famous businessman announced that he was going
to run in the 2016 United States presidential election. He started the Donald J. Trump for President
Incorporation to begin his campaign. This incorporation owns The Donald J.
Trump official website, which is being used as one of his main campaign advertising sources. It has
pictures of him and his slogan, shows his position on popular issues, shows articles of him in the
media, and as well sells merchandise, like hats, t
shirts, and yard signs. The

The Politics Of The Media
News media Is the American news media being honest like it was to be back when our great nation
begin? Many American's don't believe the media today because of the views that the media takes.
The 2016 election year was one of the ugliest presidential elections in the history of the United
States between Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton. The news media play a big role in the election
as they bring the news to the public about Clinton and Trump. The media is has changed the
delivery form the traditional news delivery, to the now comical delivery in shows like SNL. Because
television stations tend to be either liberal or conservative and craft stories to appeal subtle and
unbiased political news coverage and commentary is increasingly difficult to find. The media has
always been under criticism of being biased because of conservatives and liberals coming out and
saying that the news is biased. Mostly, if they news is not pretrain in their favor for one of the
political parties, they tend to say that it is biased. The part that these political parties are most
concerned about is all the undecided voters out in the United States. And each political party wants
those votes because they tend to flip the election either way. So, the news media has a huge
influence in those undecided votes and if the media is not favoring their party they tend to call the
news biased. There are some very good points that come from each side that need to be look at to
determine if the news is

Facebook 's War On Free Speech
In addition to supporter shaming being abundant in daily face–to–face interactions, social media,
such as Twitter and Facebook, become a breeding ground for supporter shaming. On Twitter, Kevin
Allred, a professor at Rutgers University, wrote, "If you're white & claiming being called racist for
supporting Trump is a 'bias incident,' you 've lived the most privileged life ever! Ever!" The
supporter shaming on social media, however, did not stop at the individual level; it grew to a
systematic banning of vocal and enthusiastic Trump supporters on Twitter. Charlie Nash wrote in a
Breitbart article, "...It appears that Twitter's war on free speech is directed at a specific generation of
libertarians and alternative conservative voices, many of whom are...supporters of Donald
Trump...they're going after the social network's most influential Trump supporters..." While vocal
Trump supporters were being banned on Twitter, there did not seem to be an issue with death threats
being posed toward Donald Trump and his supporters, seeing as composers of such tweets were not
banned. This type of behavior, engaged in by social media platforms, made political discourse
hostile, but the opposite should be the goal of such media platforms. It should be a duty of the media
to encourage political discourse and to encourage people to actively participate in politics, since it
affects everyone, not to punish those who have opposing beliefs. The supporter shaming did not end
with face–to–face

Donald Trump Leadership Analysis
Donald J. Trump is an interesting American success story. Throughout his life, he has set standards
of business and entrepreneurial success in real estate, sports, entertainment, and politics. His entry
into politics resulted in him being elected the 45th President of the United States (White House,
2017). After he graduated from Wharton School of Finance, Donald Trump assumed his father's role
and became a real estate developer in New York. Mr. Trump has written over fourteen bestsellers.
He also entered the sports arena when he bought the New Jersey Generals in 1982, as part of the
United States Football league. Before entering the political race for President, he was well known
for staring in the realty television show "The Apprentice". He announced his candidacy for the
Republican nomination on June 16, 2015 and won the election for President of the United States on
November 8, 2016 (White House, 2017). Nobody can deny his success in business but his leadership
style has been heavily debated, especially after he became President. There are certain elements to
Donald Trump's television and social media persona that can be found in his leadership style, but
there is more to his leadership style than just those elements. He exudes confidence and this is an
aspect that can be found in his leadership style. Donald Trump presences in the business world is the
authority and confidence he bring to everything he does. This mentality has helped him in good and
bad times (Advise America, 2017). Donald Trump is not afraid to be unconventional; the centralized
autocratic management style can be seen throughout his career. This style does not work for
everyone, but Donald Trump believes it works for him. In business or as President, Donald Trump
appreciates the value of face–to–face communication. He is known for being tough and sometimes
ruthless negotiator. He pulls no punches and gets right to the point, which has made him a
controversial figure (Advise America, 2017). Donald Trump's personal persona comes off as "I am
the leader and do what I say" The implications behind that philosophy is the leader is smarter than
anyone else, the leader has all the answers, do not question the leader, and command and

Analysis Of I Am Waiting
American politics has proved to be flawed in structure over, and over again. Although our founding
fathers had the best intentions when they implemented democracy, they like most modern day
politicians, failed to actually make things better. Yes we gained our Independence, but with the
ability to make our own choices we tend to make childish and impulsive decisions. The election of
Donald Trump stands to be the most recent of those mistakes, and the politicians who work for him
are either blinded or full of regret. Poets Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Robert Lowell paint vivid
pictures of these very mistakes that seem to recur with the thought of democracy.
More often than not we elect our President based on the changes he promises to deliver once in
office. Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem titled "I Am Waiting" is a perfect example of those broken
promises. The poem discusses how he's waiting for the American dream to manifest itself. The
dream of freedom and equality in a place where our elected officials actually work for us, rather
than against us. You know he's talking about these things in the allusions he makes to the Mayflower
and the Western frontier. He says,
"And I am waiting / for a rebirth of wonder / and I am waiting for someone / to really discover
America/ and wail/" The poem ends with Ferlinghetti waiting forever and constantly seeking change
similar to American citizens wishing and waiting for the same.
The citizens of this beauty we call the United States have

Socio–technical systems theory: an intervention strategy for organizational development
Steven H. Appelbaum Professor of Management, Faculty of Commerce & Administration,

Integrating organizational development (OD) and technological intervention into a total system is
one of the more difficult tasks for an executive or consultant to execute. Organizations are
profoundly affected by technological advancements and require a flexible customized change model
to fit the social network of the specific organization into which technology is being introduced.

226]. After analysing the specific situation in any given organization, "the organizational
development consultant can determine that some or all elements of a traditional model may be
useful for the organization in question"[1, p. 41]. STS theory is probably the most extensive body of
conceptual and empirical work underlying employee involvement and work design applications
today Originally devel. oped at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London, this approach
to designing work has spread to most industrialized nations in a relatively short period of time. In
Europe and particularly Scandinavia, STS theory is almost synonymous with work design and
employee involvement. In Canada and the USA, STS theory has become the major underpinning of
efforts involving work design. Cincinnati Milacron, Amoco, USAA, Stanley Works, General
Electric, and Caterpillar are among many organizations using STS theory to design work[3, p. 352].
Over 30 years ago, the early contributions to socio–technical theory by Emery and Trist or by
Chern's included approaches to design of jobs and work systems. More recently, there seems to be
frequent reference to STS, given the inevitable infiltration of technology into organizations in all
industries. Often though, STS approaches appear to be fragmentary and only loosely reminiscent of
the original theory The techniques used in socio.

Fred Hollows Significance in Promoting Change for...
Introduction
Good morning/ afternoon,
My name is Mary Doe and it is an honour to represent the Queensland Youth Parliament during
reconciliation week. This presentation will focus on Fred Hollows significance in promoting change
for Indigenous Australia. As you may well know Fred Hollows was an able advocate for Indigenous
health and focused much of his life on ending curable blindness among numerous Indigenous
communities.
Paragraph 1– Who is Fred Hollows and what were his main achievements.
Fred Hollows was born in New Zealand in 1929. He was not only a terrific ophthalmologist but also
a skilled surgeon and social justice activist, as he believed everyone was equal due to his respectful
and non– judgemental family upbringing. Initially Fred wanted to work in the church but later
changed his mind to medicine after working in a mental health hospital. At the age of 22, he started
Medical school at the University of Otago and then in 1965 to continue his ophthalmologic work.
Paragraph 2– Career beginnings
Fred started his medical career by attending the University of Otago Medical School in 1951, at the
age of 22. Fred held many different positions in his early career including being a medical intern, a
house surgeon and a clinician before specialising in Ophthalmology. After qualifying as an
ophthalmologist Fred worked all around New Zealand including Wellington Hospital, which was the
biggest in the country. After he moved to Australia in 1965, in the late 1960's to

ixty years ago, Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, became a flashpoint in the nascent
civil–rights movement when Governor Orval Faubus refused to abide by the Supreme Court
decision in Brown v. Board of Education. Faubus famously deployed the state's National Guard to
prevent nine African–American students from attending classes at the high school. In the midst of
the crisis, a high–school journalist interviewing Louis Armstrong about an upcoming tour asked the
musician about his thoughts on the situation, prompting Armstrong to refer to the Arkansas governor
as several varieties of "motherfucker." (In the interest of finding a printable quote, his label for

Kaepernick began his silent, kneeling protest at the beginning of last season, not as an assault
against the United States military or the flag but as a dissent against a system that has, with a great
degree of consistency, failed to hold accountable police who kill unarmed citizens. Since he did this,
forty–one unarmed individuals have been fatally shot by police in the United States, twelve of them
African–American, according to a database maintained by the Washington Post. The city of St.
Louis recently witnessed three days of protests after the acquittal of Jason Stockley, the former
officer who, while still working for the city's police force, fatally shot Anthony Smith, an eighteen–
year–old African–American motorist who had led officers on a chase. Stockley emerged from his
vehicle, having declared that he would "kill the motherfucker," then proceeded to fire five rounds
into the car. Later, a firearm was found on the seat of Smith's car, but the weapon bore only
Stockley's DNA. The issue is not imaginary.
Yet the belief endures, from Armstrong's time and before, that visible, affluent African–American
entertainers are obliged to adopt a pose of ceaseless gratitude–appreciation for the waiver that
spared them the low status of so many others of their kind. Stevie Wonder began a performance in
Central Park last night by taking a knee, prompting Congressman Joe Walsh to tweet that Wonder

Argumentative Essay On Religion
Religion was discovered back in 2000 BC and is considered to be a trait common to cultures
worldwide to this day. Some use religion as a way to cope, to connect, but few could use religion as
a weapon against others. Since religion began, over 195,035,000 lives have been lost in tragedies
brought on in the name of faith. Regardless of the brutality religion has created, it has also caused
others to come together in order to speak out. As a result of religions regression in society, humans
are able to progress for the sake of defending human rights. Christianity is one of the largest
religions to stand with more than 2.22 billion followers. However, not all Christians share the same
stance on issues, whether it be political or moral. An example would be the Westboro Baptist
Church; a hate group known for its hostility towards those who do not meet up to their standards,
specifically members of the LGBT, Catholics, American soldiers, and Muslims. The church
originally received national attention in October, 1998, for picketing the funeral of a man named
Matthew Shepard who was beaten and tortured for being gay. Romaine Patterson, a friend of
Shepard's, recalled that she couldn't take her eyes off of the neon signs that read, "God Hates Fags",
"Matt in Hell", and "AIDS Cures Fags". From there, the church had displayed Shepard in their
memorial section on their website. The page states that the church does not support the fact he was
murdered, but that they picketed in order

The Is It On How Much You Express Yourself?
How does one define greatness, is it on how much you express yourself? No! Says the billionaire,
greatness, is determined by the amount of wealth you acquire in your life. No! Says the priest, it's
defined by how much you commit your life to god. No! Says your country, greatness is how much
you give to your country. Becoming great is a thing that most desire, yet most don't know what
being great really means. We are born in the mentality that some people are great such as the
president or comic book heroes such as Batman, but for what reason? Is it because they're rich or
powerful or is it because of the good that they try to do? What about the poor souls in Iraq that had

In his article "What is Greatness" he states that the key factors in becoming great is by
understanding and love his fellow man. In his article, he told his readers that "a truly great person
loves his fellows because he understands them" (Hubbard 1). When he says this, he's not talking
about forgiving everyone that has wronged him, but to be able to comprehend them. He believes that
when the only thing a person knows how to do is hate, than he's truly doomed. Wisdom is the key to
greatness without out it we would just be beasts roaming in the wild. As human beings, we cannot
change and start hating on our fellow man just because they have lost themselves. We need to
preserve and maintain a clear head when it comes to any situation. You cannot live a life that
involves hating on anyone in the world. This just hurts everyone who's involved, even yourself. L.
Ron. Hubbard believes that the only true way to become great, is to learn how to love. Donald
Trump is a remarkable man that controversy always seems to follow him around no matter what he
does. If anyone else did or said anything the things he has done, their political career would have
ended, yet Donald Trump is still going strong. The reason why his political career is so strong is
because he says what he wants to say. He doesn't care what anyone else thinks which causes him to

Great Britain And The European Union
The recent decision of Great Britain to leave the European Union coincides with the recent election
of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States. Both events can be explained by using
economic and cultural arguments. In order to fully understand these occurrences, one must
understand the economic anxiety as well as the anti–globalisation sentiment that surrounded the
Brexit movement. Trump's candidacy involves some of the same aspects, yet Trump's voter
demographic, the white, working class, must also be studied. In the end, it can be determined that
there is arguably more of a cultural reasoning to these incidences.
The instances of Great Britain's exit from the EU and the election of Donald Trump were both so
originally downplayed that when both possibilities came to light, the world was in shock and awe.
June 23, 2016 was the first shock as Great Britain held a referendum in order to decide the question
of whether or not the country should remain within the European Union. Brexit was the winning
vote. Political elites had been defeated and the complaints of the voters were heard. These
complaints stemmed from economic anxiety within the country and the demise of the support of
globalisation. The Economist article, "Drawbridges Up", describes the way in which voters wished
to take control of borders once again in order to slow the flow of immigrants and refugees.
The Trump candidacy shares some of the same fundamental aspects of Brexit yet Trumps true rise to

Analysis Of Donald J. Trump 's ' Looking Glass Self '
Donald J. Trump's tax returns, and his 3.7 billion net worth, was once the reason he was critiqued in
the media. Once his political career commenced, the media satisfied the audience's thirst to revise
candidate Trump's history of privilege and business skills (and how he got them), to such an extent
that the election of 2016 was almost omnipresent. I reexamined the sociological aspects in
Tremonti's CBC session with David Cay Johnston. Johnston's stance is that Trump is a no–good
manager, and that he will not be a good president. Charles Horton Cooley's "Looking Glass Self,"
explains how Trump became the man he is today. Lastly, Trump's extreme self–regard creates
untrustworthy relations, which will be fatal for America's businesses and trades.
Synopsis
In CBC's podcast, Johnston exclaims that "[if] Trump ran the U.S. economy like he does his
business, the U.S. would have terrible, terrible problems." Investigator and expert in US economics,
David Johnson meant to study the spread of casino gambling when he went to Atlantic City. There,
he met Donald Trump and began to investigate his taxes instead. Over the years he was able to
collect "tens of thousands" of Trump's papers. All of those records are strong evidence that Trump
pays very little taxes, or none at all. Johnston's CBC podcast was live on Thursday, September 29,
2016, when the idea of Trump becoming president was seemingly inconceivable. Unfortunately for

The Trump 's Political Rise During The Presidential...
The Trump Effect
Donald Trump's meteoric political rise during the Presidential Election of 2016 put attention on the
media and the way they covered the election and will forever change both politics and media going
forward. The media was shown to be a bias, ratting chasing, and corrupt extension of the political
parties. We will encompass the entire campaign from the June 2015 announcement that he was
running, covering the primaries, then to the convention, along the path of the general campaign, and
finally in the post–election coverage. We will look at the financials, the main stream medias role,
and changes that are necessary going forward.
Let us start with a recap. On Tuesday June 16, 2015 Donald J. Trump came down the escalator at his
Trump Tower property and announced the official launch of his presidential campaign. Much like
everything else he did in this campaign it was mired in controversy as this was the venue of the
infamous statement and I quote "when Mexico send their people they aren't sending their best their
rapist, their murders and drug dealers..." Initial reaction to Trump's announcement was mixed. Some
thought it was a P.R stunt thinking he would quit after a few weeks, others started calling foul on his

Analysis Of ' On Truth '
Today's political climate is a polarizing topic. Every form of media has an opinion on it from major
news outlets to adult animated sitcoms. Harry Frankfurt's book "On Truth" is relevant to the political
storm that is brewing in American society due to the manipulation of the truth by political figures
and mainstream media. Frankfurt approaches the importance of truth in a unique fashion and vilifies
lies and those who spread them. This directly relates to the election year and how the truth is
shrouded in mystery. The Daodejing and Socrates' writings, while both important in literature are
not as pertinent to the charged political climate that is taking place in the United States right now.
For the first time in American history there has been mass protests across the country due to the
Republican nominated president–elect Donald J. Trump. People from many major cities went to the
streets to say things like "Not My President" and "Never Trump." It is safe to say Trump 's campaign
has been riddled with controversy and has been criticized by both major political parties. Trump 's
campaign is not the only one with problems. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has been met with
constant problems throughout her campaign she has been accused of numerous corruption scandals.
The American public is deeply divided and believes they had to pick between the lesser of two evils.
This is all a distortion of the truth. The media is turning into a propaganda machine who reports

Essay on Fred Gipson's Old Yeller
OLD YELLER
This was one of my favorite books during my childhood days. The book is a classic, and Disney
later made it into a motion picture. the story''s climax develops quickly by telling stories and
adventures of a boy named Travis and his old stray yellow dog named Yeller. At the introduction of
the book Travis is plowing corn in the garden when an old yellow darts bye and causes the mule to
jump. He chases the dog out of the garden and curses at him. Then a few days later the stray dog ate
some of the deer meat that was very important for the family''s survival. Travis was very angered
and threatened to kill the mischievious yellow dog, but his younger brother, Arliss, would not allow
this.

Travis then began to run and shout at the two fighting animals. The bear tucked it''s tail and left. Old
Yeller had saved the life of Arliss and they were all very appreciative of what Yeller had done.
One of the next highlights in the book is when Old Yeller knocks down Rose, "the milk cow." Travis
and Old Yeller were out in the woods looking for Rose because she had been gone for three days
without a trace. Rose had been expecting to give birth at any time and went off by herself to do this.
Travis finally located Rose and she had already given birth to the calf. Travis chased after the calf to
lift it up. While attempting to do this Rose charged towards him. It was at that time that Travis began
to realize what a great dog he really had. Old Yeller dashed and knocked down Rose then as she
charged time and again at Yeller the dog tripped her up several times. Later on that day while Travis
was milking Rose she kept kicking the milk bucket over and would not allow Travis to milk her. In
order to put a stop to this incident Travis called over Old Yeller to keep Rose in line. Old Yeller
stood directly in front of Rose and thrashed forward staring at her. The heifer was so frightened that
she did not even try to budge.
The final adventure of Old Yeller that I would like to portray is very tragic and sad. It begins with
Rose contracting a disease called hydrophobia. This is an extremely fatal disease which brings
fourth foaming at the

What Makes A Leader?
What does it mean to be a leader? We encounter leaders in everyday situations, whether it be a
professor, boss, coach, or parent. No matter how distinguished or subordinate our roles, we have
some type of leadership responsibility over others. How does one effectively lead other people?
What methods, ideas, and skills should leaders convey to the public? It is not always easy or fun to
be a leader and it is almost guaranteed that a population will not like the views and beliefs of the one
in charge. What type of person or idea comes to mind when someone says the word President?
Hopefully, they are positive words like leader, intelligent, helpful, and hardworking. A president has
one of the toughest leadership roles because he/she is placed in a position to make very tough
decisions on topics that people have many varying opinions about. As a voter, it can be difficult to
stay informed on topics and determine which party to choose. A person must ask themselves what
they stand for or believe in and then decide which candidate is best qualified to fulfill the
requirements. Being a first time voter is a very exciting experience that comes with a great
responsibility. The 2016 campaign has showcased much personal and political turmoil of the
candidates, making it hard to know which side to choose. With an election year like never before,
the candidates have placed a lot of pressure on voters to decide who is fit enough to bring our
country back into order, but Donald Trump has

Speech On Freedom Of Speech
Through the onslaught of opinionated social media posts we scroll through every day, on a variety
of social platforms, we are constantly reminded of the First Amendment granting U.S. Citizens the
Freedom of Speech. Often I find myself wondering what was going through their head or how they
arrived at their conclusion, but I dare not restrict them from voicing their mind. Throughout the
2016 Presidential Election, a myriad of "political experts" over both party lines both consistently
and unapologetically posted nasty opinionated statuses, often riddled with a plethora inaccuracies as
facts, yet saw no real repercussions other than losing online "friends" or engaging in a full–blown
comment war on social media. In a world where 280 characters make this evening's headline news
story and where cyberbullying pushes children as young as 11 to the brink of suicide, the lines are
often blurred as to what extent the right to free speech should encompass.
Freedom of Speech particularly stands out to me from my experience as a young child living in
Topeka, Kansas, where the Westboro Baptist Church laid much of its groundwork and still calls
home. Not surprisingly, the Westboro Baptist Church members (and their children) picketing with
atrocious signs, while vocally blaring disparaging and vile remarks to those standing in their wake
littered a multitude of my earliest memories. Subsequently, their almost inescapable presence
unwantedly festooned the backdrop of many churches,

The First Time I Saw Edward Cullen
The first time I saw Edward Cullen, I was 13 years old. It was Easter Sunday and instead of waking
up to a basket full of sugary treats; I spent my morning helping my drunk father sober up by making
two pots of strong, black coffee. Taking care of Charlie was nothing out of the ordinary; my mother
had died during childbirth so I learned early on how to cook, clean and even pay the occasional bill.
Dealing with his growing bouts of inebriation, however, was something entirely unexpected and
new. Charlie always drank the occasional beer while watching the game on Sundays, but his sudden
habit of coming home plastered and even on some nights not coming home at all, had me concerned
and confused. Charlie and I did not have what I would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I'm already running late so you will just have to come with me. Bella, you need to do exactly what I
say today. Am I making myself clear?" My father's voice was stern and authoritative. He rarely
spoke to me using that tone, so I knew he meant business; I nodded my head and put my jacket on as
I followed him out the door. I found it peculiar when we took a taxi to the restaurant instead of
Charlie's Toyota, but upon reflection, realized my father was still not coherent enough to drive.
When we arrived and entered the lobby, Charlie pointed to a plush red velvet sofa that sat against
the wall and told me to sit down and wait for his return. I was alone in the room so I took advantage
of my isolation and meandered around, admiring the photographs that hung on the surrounding
walls. They were of famous people who had eaten at the restaurant and signed pictures to
commemorate their visits. It was apparent by the numerous photos; Volturi's was a celebrity hot
spot. As I heard the noise of the crowd floating in from the adjoining room, I wondered if any
celebrities were among the diners. My curiosity got the best of me and I foolishly decided to take a
quick peek. I attempted to remain cool as I strolled casually into the room, but my shoe caught on
the plush carpeting, causing me to lose my balance and topple straight into a table. To make matters
even worse, I managed to knock over a glass of wine as well. As I surveyed the damage caused by
my mishap, I

The Great Immersion : Why I Am A President
The Great Immersion: Why I Decided to Hop Aboard the Trump Train I had a slight idea of what I
was getting myself in to, last fall, when I hopped aboard the Trump Train. To be honest, at first I was
rooting for Scott Walker, but his appearance in a debate irritated me to the point that I had to find
another vehicle for political representation, but it couldn 't be status quo for me, it just couldn 't be
Hillary Clinton so easily; that 's when I decided to hop aboard the Trump Train. Immersing myself
into the idea that Donald J. Trump is qualified to be president has been, what I envision my legal
studies to be, an exhausting yet rewarding feat, especially as a "#Blacks4Trump" (you 'll have to
check it out on Twitter). When I decided to support Donald J. Trump, I went "all in". I followed him
on social media, I signed up for his campaign newsletters, I purchased bumper stickers, I donated to
his campaign, I even began to tune into Fox News hosts like Sean Hannity, when I would have never
done so in the past. I took a lot of heat from family. I went way out of my comfort zone. I was
totally invested! I admire what Donald J. Trump represents–– something exciting and different––
and I am committed to doing whatever I can, however big or small, to see that his campaign see its
ROI. Before I decided to support Governor Walker and now Donald J. Trump, I was a blue–dog

Analysis Of The Freedom Riders
Nearly a century after the civil war ended, African Americans continued to encounter
discrimination, racism, inequality, and segregation. Because of their skin color, they were labeled as
second–class citizens. They decided to take actions into their own hands and fight against
segregation and attain equal civil liberties. They have faced countless battles, setbacks and
enormous resistance. Activists from all around the country, with all types of backgrounds joined in
on the fight against racial injustice. Their main strategy emphasized passive resistance and
nonviolence. On May 4th, 1961, thirteen brave individuals set out on a mission to start a national
movement to overturn segregation in the south. Under the leadership of Congress of Racial Equality,
seven African Americans and six whites traveled together on two commercial buses, the Greyhound
and the Trailways. They called themselves "The Freedom Riders." They intended to travel from
Washington DC to New Orleans, Louisiana together. On the way, they would deliberately violated
Jim Crow laws. The Freedom Riders risked being assaulted, arrested, and even killed. Many other
civil rights activists opposed their plan because they felt the idea was too confrontational and
dangerous, and could possibly result in a setback for the civil rights movement. Despite the risks and
opposition, the Freedom Riders did not abort their mission. The activists were tired of waiting,
therefore they decided that they are not going to

Is Lies And 2016 Primary Election
Graduation Project First Draft Milo Norlin AP Literature– Cary Matthews 4/8/2016 Lies and the
2016 Primary Election In recent presidential elections, exaggerations and lies have become normal
even while access to truthful information is increasing through the internet. Fact checking these lies
has become a standalone section of the news industry, and there are several websites and
organizations devoted to simply going through and researching the validity of candidates'
statements. However, even though these organizations have been created and their findings have
been publicized broadly, cross–party and blanketing exaggerations have continued from every
candidate's campaign in the 2016 primary election. This trend should be worrying for voters who
want political integrity and honesty, because when lying becomes a primary campaign tactic, the
candidates who get elected are unreliable. Donald Trump Donald J. Trump entered the Republican
primary race on June 16, 2015. From the outset it became clear that his race would be based not on
facts or statistics, but evolving principles and intangible ideas. Politifact.com, a project of the Tampa

broad pattern about Trump's campaign. Out of 125 statements they factchecked, 95 or 76 percent of
these statements were rated mostly false, false, or "pants–on–fire." (Politifact, "Donald Trump 's

Old Yeller By Fred Gipson
Old Yeller Award winning author Fred Gipson wrote the classic Old Yeller (Anna). His inspiration
came when a dog saved his grandfather from a rabid wolf (Anne). Likewise Old Yeller saves the
family from many dangers of the Texan land. Travis a fourteen year old boy is responsible for taking
his daddy's position while he is out on a cattle drive. His dad promises him as horse to look after the
family and take care of his father's duties, but his dad tells him he really needs a dog. His last dog,
Bella died of a rattlesnake bite and he just wasn't ready for another one (Gipson 5). Then that Old
Yeller dog shows up and Travis tried to get rid of him because all he would do was steal food and
lay around he was not good for anything. Then he shows his worth to the family when he protects
them and also helps Travis tend to the land. Through obstacles, Travis learns life lessons that include
coming of age, responsibility, family bond, acceptance, hierarchy in nature, the helping hand,
survival and good and bad times. Coming of age is shown throughout the whole novel. Travis shows
that he is becoming a man when his father leaves and he has to be in control of the house, the land,
and the animals. Travis first tends to the house he takes care of the family making sure mama and
little Arliss are safe and protected and he even put food on the table (Gipson 3). He did not wait

Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders had the most followers and greatest impact with social media on
their campaign. Social media helped Donald Trump win this election. According to Trump's Twitter
page he has 41.2 million followers. This massive number of followers is what got Trump elected.
Trump is a business man who knew how to take advantage of his social media platform to the fullest
form unlike Hillary Clinton. Social media can act as free coverage. Trump just has to send out a
tweet and it is instantly shared with his millions of followers and is then retweeted and shared and
continues on an endless cycle of reposting. Trump also got people engaged with his clever slogan
"Make America Great Again." According to Brad Parscale who served as a digital media stagiest on
the Trump campaign said that "Facebook and Twitter helped us win this" (2016, Kokkad). Trump

Donald Trump 's Presidential Election Essay
Donald's Trump's victory in the 2016 election is very complex. The political mishaps that have
occurred since JFK's presidency reshaped the American psyche of who the president should be. This
chain of dissatisfaction with the federal government led the American people to hope for a president
who is honest, free of corruption, and supportive of the middle class. Trump recognized the
American need for a new kind of president and took on a persona that perfectly exemplified this.
The Trump Mythology is the belief that Donald Trump is a transparent, honest politician; however,
this is only part of the equation. Belief in the Trump Mythology contributed to his victory, but it is
also important to acknowledge the respective roles of demographics, voter turnout, and Hillary
Clinton's flaws. An interesting difference between the Kennedy Mythology and the Trump
Mythology that is worth noting is the role of the media. Throughout the Kennedy Era, popular
media fed the people's fascination of Kennedy's Camelot, perpetuating the mythology. Donald
Trump, however, was largely hated by popular culture. American media ultimately discounted
Donald Trump as a viable contender for the presidency.
From the very beginning of his campaign trail, Donald Trump piqued America's interest with his
blunt and oftentimes shocking statements. With his candidacy came exclamations of making
America great, building walls, deporting illegal immigrants, and keeping jobs in the United States. A

The Role Of Diversity And Its Role For Journalism
What is the role of diversity in the newsroom?
Use of the term diversity and its role in journalism only calls attention to the lack of it in newsrooms
and magazines across the country. In their absence, I'd argue that the true value of having people of
various ethnic and racial backgrounds present in the newsroom has as much to do with improving
the process of newsgathering and reporting as it does achieving racial parity. In short, I think the
role of diversity in journalism is to make journalism better.
For example, Donald Trump's recent visit to Mexico not only highlighted the divisions within the
Republican Party but the junket also revealed the disparity as to who gets to tell the story of his bid
for the Whitehouse. Aside from Trump's well–publicized spat with the news anchor Jorge Ramos;
it's apparent the journalists assigned to covering the Trump campaign have not been representative
of the country's population at–large. While they've done a great job covering many aspects of his
campaign, it's not the full story.
Trump's visit to Mexico also illustrates the importance of bilingualism.
Unless the reporters assigned to the press junket are Mexican–American, a lot of cross–cultural
nuances and the true tenor of what is being said are likely to be missed.
In newsrooms where minorities are under represented, I'd also contend that major stories often go
unreported. Unless, events reach the level of national scrutiny– like the riots in Ferguson, or become

Animal Symbolism, And Native American Totems In Literature
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." (Anatole France)
Animals are an important aspect of human life. Whether it be for food or for companionship,
animals have been a part of human society since the beginnings of civilization. They connect us to
nature in both physical and spiritual aspects of life, and their actions influence the actions of
humans. Although they seem mindless, animals in literature are important for strengthening one's
morality because of what they symbolize. All animals are symbols for different human traits and
emotions, what they symbolize is derived from Native American Totems. "A totem is a spirit being,
sacred object, or symbol of a tribe, clan, family or individual." (Anderson) Each animal, or spirit
guide, enter and exit lives depending on the direction that humans are headed and the tasks that need
to be completed along the journey of life. Native beliefs further explain that a totem animal is one
that is with oneself for life, both in the physical and spiritual world. Though people may identify
with different animal guides throughout their lifetimes, it is this one totem animal that acts as the
main guardian spirit. The Native American Totems, along with other cultural teachings, are what
influenced many authors to write about animal symbolism. Prior to written languages, ancient
peoples told animal stories by drawing symbolic visual narratives on the walls of their cave homes.

Scientific Research Design
The two types of investigation that would be needed is a field study interviewing customers
immediately after their visit to a retail establishment and an on–line survey after the computer user
visited the website. In both surveys, questions regarding customer service will be asked. They would
inquire as to the details that pertained to their specific opinion of that day's retail service quality. The
service quality could be questioned immediately after the persons' shopping experience; whether in
person as they exited the store or on–line, which should help with their ease of recall. Questions
would pertain to reliability, problem solving, and their personal interaction, as well as the store
policies. Personal interaction would be determined by using a graded scale of the customer's
perception of their attitude, problem solving, and overall care by the sales professional.
For the on–line shopper, the questionnaire would differ. It would ask the customer to grade the ease
of the transaction and the ability to maneuver throughout the website. The software would be graded
instead of a sales person. Policy would be determined by inquiring about attitudes of the consumer
of in store or on–line payment methods, order timing and shipping methods, and the handling of
special orders. In both types of surveys, questions would be asked pertaining to their brand loyalty
in the past. The same graded scale would be used in

How Does Fundamentalism Affect Our Modern Day Society?
Fundamentalism was first talked about during the debate by the Fundamentalist–Modernist in the
1920's. Fundamentalism is defined as a type of religion that upholds very strict beliefs from the
scripture they worship. There are several people and groups such as John Nelson Darby, William
Bell Riley, and one group that, been in the news a lot lately, Westboro Baptist Church. The members
of Westboro Baptist Church are known in modern day as a group of people known for hate speeches
against homosexual, Jews, and politicians. The definition of fundamentalism could lead one to

Knowing how far to push fundamentalist teachings is very important for fundamentalist. Members
of Westboro Baptist have publically lacked the knowledge of when a line has been crossed and what
makes a fundamentalist differentiate from a terrorist.
For some people, categorizing Westboro Baptist Church as a fundamentalist group could be quite
the stretch. Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas, is a church that was founded by Fred
Phelps in 1955. As previously mentioned, this group is known for their hate speeches and preaches
against all form of sin such as homosexuality, adultery, divorced, and remarriage.4 These sins are
listed in the bible and shouldn't be committed but there are more sins in the bible that they are also
ignoring such as: not feeding god's children that are hungry, accepting a bribe, wearing the clothing
of the opposite sex, not forgiving others, and gambling.
Most Baptist groups have the general beliefs of a typical Christian. When it comes to following
Gods words presented to us in the Bible we must know our limits of what we can say and direct on
others on what to believe. If members of Westboro Baptist Church are followers of Christianity, they
are missing the most important thing that is taught to us as Christians: not to hate. Christians are
taught that they should love everyone and treat them as they would want to be treated. As taught in
this "strictly" Christian group they are suppose to protest with signs that have

Argumentative Essay On Donald Trump
Jack Sovereign
Mrs. Binion
LA11, Period 1
October 2, 2017
"Despite the negative press covfefe" (Donald Trump). What does it mean? Who or what is covfefe?
Why was this said? Was it an accident? With all the questions, it seems there was only thing
everyone can agree on – it was a quite unique tweet. Donald Trump, much like his tweets, is the
very definition of an outlier. With no political experience, this man rose in the polls and was able to
become the president of the United States, beating out Hillary Clinton, who had years of political
experience under her belt. This is the same man who lives in a penthouse New York apartment. The
same man who has repeatedly walked out on interviews, where as most people would have stayed
for the free press, because he believed they were unfair questions. The list goes on and on. Donald
Trump is in no way an average person, much less an average president. He is more, and defined
much by his previous experiences. However, there are a couple of factors that really stand out in
making Donald Trump an outlier. Donald Trump's views on free speech, his self confidence, and his
unique business and marketing strategies all help to form Trump's identity and make him into the
outlier he is today.
One major factor that makes Donald Trump and outlier is his views on free speech. "The way I see
it, critics get to say what they want to about my work, so why shouldn't I be able to say what I want
to about theirs?" (Trump). This quote shows that Trump has the right to say whatever he wants to
whoever he wants. This quote makes him an outlier because most people, regardless of popularity,
would avoid saying negative things towards the press since the press are the ones who distribute the
information about you. Another great Trump quote that reveals is further evidence for his views is. "
I think more people should have that (speak up) attitude, and I think you'd find a lot more accurate
reporting, including yours." The CNN Interviewer proceeds to ask for examples. "It doesn't matter, I
don't think your viewers would be very interested in it nor do I want to embarrass you. ... You know
what, do this interview with somebody else ... frankly, you're a very negative guy, and I think it's

Why Do We Use Labels Or Classification Towards Everything?...
Why do we as a society use labels or classification towards everything? We label humans, animal,
our groceries, plants, etc. Many of us think are because it helps us organize the life we live but that
hasn't worked everyone. The labels we use have a negative impact to those who are one being
labeled. Many of them try to live up to the labels or some labels degrade them. The labels with
which we identify ourselves and others only keeps us divided and fighting each other instead of
having us being unified. In our society today we discuss the immigration status. A candidate for the
presidential seat Donald J. Trump has discussed his stance on Immigration. Mr. Trump during one of
his campaign states, "When Mexico send its people, they're not sending their best. They are sending
people who have a lot of problems, they are bringing that problem to us, they are bringing drugs,
crime and they are rapists." This prescription adds on to immigrants are lazy, they are here to take
jobs, etc. Also, everyone thinks all the immigrant are Mexicans. This has impacted for everyone to
see an immigrant as the person who stops this country to reach its potential.
The characterizes of immigration discuss by Donald Trump are not true. I was born in Guatemala
and Latin American is bigger than just Mexico. When I migrated to the United States my parents
were just looking to aspire a lifestyle. We knew in our country we wouldn't get the same
opportunities as this country provides. My family has

Persuasive Communication Essay

  • 1. Persuasive Communication Essay Noor Douglah #1003169965 November 28, 2017 Communication Research Methods Donald Trump has suggested that a contest should be held as to which television network covers him in the most "dishonest, corrupt and or/distorted" way, as he has again labeled many of the outlets "fake news." It is one of some attacks by the president against the press coverage he receives, with the most vitriolic coming back in August when he referred the assembled journalists as "truly dishonest" and "sick people."Mr. Trump also used the term "your favorite president," a moniker he has used recently – that is despite his approval ratings telling a different story." Literature Review The press is basic to vote based system, and popularity based race is comprehensibly deprived of the press. An open and sensible contest is not only about the prospect of voting and the culture the way to make a selection, yet around a hands–on process where the electorates participate in the open verbal confrontation and provide adequate information on the meetings, approaches, competitors and the verdict process on the situation with a precise aim of settling on sophisticated choices. Besides, the press drives around as a critical watch to popularity founded decisions, defending the frankness in the procedure. During the 2005 gathering to commemorate World Press Freedom Day worldwide, an affirmation was formed which concentrated on "independent and mixed press are rudimentary for assuring forthrightness, ... • 5. The Importance Of Free Speech The First Amendment to the Constitution of The United States of America guarantees the right of free speech to all Americans and allows them to freely and openly express their opinions or beliefs. It allows citizens to openly exercise their chosen religions, utilize various media outlets to speak or comment, and gather in assembly to protest. However, this core belief, that is so integral to American freedom, also has many complications, most notably what do we do with people whose opinions we don't like? This question becomes particularly difficult for public institutions and especially so for Institutions of learning. Recently the University of Tennessee allowed political commentator Ben Shapiro to speak on campus garnering a lot of support and even more protest. Furthermore, on campuses across the country other highly controversial speakers such as Janet Mock and Milo Yiannopoulos have even been protested to such a degree that they were forced to leave for their own safety or not allowed to speak at all. So, the question again is raised, should these people whose ideas many of us disagree with be allowed to voice their opinions? I believe that these individuals should be allowed to speak and that it is our ethical duty to ensure they have that right no matter how polarizing or disagreeable their opinions are. To understand why this is such an important topic, we must first understand where the issue lies. The primary reason that many of these speakers are not allowed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The White Working Class That Caused These Problems Was it really the White working class that caused these problems? Or was it the companies that outsourced their jobs overseas? The white working class are also known as the "hillbillies." They are people who have gone through a lot of suffering but also have made a lot problems on their own. While I definitely think that it is up to the former White working class to dig themselves out, I 'm unsure that they 're the ones responsible for this mess. Loosing their jobs to outsourcing and loosing their sense of hope has led them to follow Donald Trump's campaign because he sympathizes with them and promises them economic and social changes. These families have struggled with poverty, domestic violence, drugs, and unemployment. One of those families was J.D. Vance's family. Vance grew up in the "Rust Belt" of Ohio, into a struggling, poor, abusive family. Vance escaped his hardships by enrolling into the Military and going to school. However, other people weren't as lucky as he was to get out, other families were still stuck in "Hillbilly" Middletown. Things were going good for these families until the 1970s and 1980s came along. This is when things took a toll, industrial jobs were cut, causing a down–ward spiral for everyone in Ohio. This is when the alcoholism, drug use, and domestic violence became a norm. For about a century, the region seemed to be on a upward spiral. Middletown's streets today are full of "shuttered storefronts and drug dealers, (Rothman,New Yorker)." ... Fred Meyer Organizational Structure Essay The Process of Fred Meyer's Organizational Structure Selection MGT230 January 29, 2013 The Process of Fred Meyer's Organizational Structure Selection Introduction According to Bateman and Snell, "Two fundamental concepts around which organizations are structured are differentiation and integration" (2011, pg. 227). Differentiation refers to the different units that work on different kinds of tasks with the use of different skills and work methods in an organization. • 11. Propaganda On The Latest War Essay Whether it be the drawing on a piece of paper promoting propaganda on the latest war, a McDonald's commercial on TV, or the 15 second wait before a Youtube video, advertising is everywhere. And advertisement does not only accompany the idea of pulling in potential buyers like most people think, but the motive of advertising can also extend to many more serious topics, such as politics. In a political debate, the promotion of advertisement is crucial in gathering a crowd that will lead a presidential candidate for the chance to become the leader of the United States. But how does one make an ad so appealing that it is able to convert someone's thoughts to the ones the advertiser wants them to think? While there are many ads that fail in illustrating the perfect picture, there is a vast number of them that are successful. Throughout the 2016 Donald J. Trump for President ad, "In Donald Trump's America," the contrast of visualizations, appealing sound choices, and the use of language are effectively portrayed to develop a strong argument that in the 2016 election of Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton, Clinton is unsuitable for presidency. In almost every political advertisement, using contrast of visualizations between politicians is crucial in trying to persuade more citizens in the United States for their vote. But how do they do it? In the advertisement, "In Donald Trump's America," there are a few different methods to how they demonstrate a positive representation of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The Greatest Leader Of The United States ' 2016 Election... "The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. he is the one who gets the people to do the greatest things." This is a quote by one of our past presidents, Ronald Reagan. As the United States' 2016 election year shortly approaches candidates everywhere are trying to be seen as great leaders to the people. One of the main ways candidates do this is by campaigning, which involved going to speeches, going to philanthropic events, and coming up with creative ways to advertise. Donald J. Trump a businessman turning politician is one of the head candidates for the National Republican Party, and according to the Washington Post is becoming a better looking candidate everyday (Milbank). Trump worked for his father's real ‐ estate company starting after college. In 1971 he was given control of the company. Trump slowly began signing contracts with hotel and apartment complexes. He began buying properties to build his own hotels as well. In 2015 this popular and famous businessman announced that he was going to run in the 2016 United States presidential election. He started the Donald J. Trump for President Incorporation to begin his campaign. This incorporation owns The Donald J. Trump official website, which is being used as one of his main campaign advertising sources. It has pictures of him and his slogan, shows his position on popular issues, shows articles of him in the media, and as well sells merchandise, like hats, t shirts, and yard signs. The ... • 15. The Politics Of The Media News media Is the American news media being honest like it was to be back when our great nation begin? Many American's don't believe the media today because of the views that the media takes. The 2016 election year was one of the ugliest presidential elections in the history of the United States between Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton. The news media play a big role in the election as they bring the news to the public about Clinton and Trump. The media is has changed the delivery form the traditional news delivery, to the now comical delivery in shows like SNL. Because television stations tend to be either liberal or conservative and craft stories to appeal subtle and unbiased political news coverage and commentary is increasingly difficult to find. The media has always been under criticism of being biased because of conservatives and liberals coming out and saying that the news is biased. Mostly, if they news is not pretrain in their favor for one of the political parties, they tend to say that it is biased. The part that these political parties are most concerned about is all the undecided voters out in the United States. And each political party wants those votes because they tend to flip the election either way. So, the news media has a huge influence in those undecided votes and if the media is not favoring their party they tend to call the news biased. • 17. Facebook 's War On Free Speech In addition to supporter shaming being abundant in daily face–to–face interactions, social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, become a breeding ground for supporter shaming. On Twitter, Kevin Allred, a professor at Rutgers University, wrote, "If you're white & claiming being called racist for supporting Trump is a 'bias incident,' you 've lived the most privileged life ever! Ever!" The supporter shaming on social media, however, did not stop at the individual level; it grew to a systematic banning of vocal and enthusiastic Trump supporters on Twitter. Charlie Nash wrote in a Breitbart article, "...It appears that Twitter's war on free speech is directed at a specific generation of libertarians and alternative conservative voices, many of whom are...supporters of Donald Trump...they're going after the social network's most influential Trump supporters..." While vocal Trump supporters were being banned on Twitter, there did not seem to be an issue with death threats being posed toward Donald Trump and his supporters, seeing as composers of such tweets were not banned. This type of behavior, engaged in by social media platforms, made political discourse hostile, but the opposite should be the goal of such media platforms. It should be a duty of the media to encourage political discourse and to encourage people to actively participate in politics, since it affects everyone, not to punish those who have opposing beliefs. The supporter shaming did not end with face–to–face ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. Donald Trump Leadership Analysis Donald J. Trump is an interesting American success story. Throughout his life, he has set standards of business and entrepreneurial success in real estate, sports, entertainment, and politics. His entry into politics resulted in him being elected the 45th President of the United States (White House, 2017). After he graduated from Wharton School of Finance, Donald Trump assumed his father's role and became a real estate developer in New York. Mr. Trump has written over fourteen bestsellers. He also entered the sports arena when he bought the New Jersey Generals in 1982, as part of the United States Football league. Before entering the political race for President, he was well known for staring in the realty television show "The Apprentice". He announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination on June 16, 2015 and won the election for President of the United States on November 8, 2016 (White House, 2017). Nobody can deny his success in business but his leadership style has been heavily debated, especially after he became President. There are certain elements to Donald Trump's television and social media persona that can be found in his leadership style, but there is more to his leadership style than just those elements. He exudes confidence and this is an aspect that can be found in his leadership style. Donald Trump presences in the business world is the authority and confidence he bring to everything he does. This mentality has helped him in good and bad times (Advise America, 2017). Donald Trump is not afraid to be unconventional; the centralized autocratic management style can be seen throughout his career. This style does not work for everyone, but Donald Trump believes it works for him. In business or as President, Donald Trump appreciates the value of face–to–face communication. He is known for being tough and sometimes ruthless negotiator. He pulls no punches and gets right to the point, which has made him a controversial figure (Advise America, 2017). Donald Trump's personal persona comes off as "I am the leader and do what I say" The implications behind that philosophy is the leader is smarter than anyone else, the leader has all the answers, do not question the leader, and command and ... • 21. Analysis Of I Am Waiting American politics has proved to be flawed in structure over, and over again. Although our founding fathers had the best intentions when they implemented democracy, they like most modern day politicians, failed to actually make things better. Yes we gained our Independence, but with the ability to make our own choices we tend to make childish and impulsive decisions. The election of Donald Trump stands to be the most recent of those mistakes, and the politicians who work for him are either blinded or full of regret. Poets Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Robert Lowell paint vivid pictures of these very mistakes that seem to recur with the thought of democracy. More often than not we elect our President based on the changes he promises to deliver once in office. Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem titled "I Am Waiting" is a perfect example of those broken promises. The poem discusses how he's waiting for the American dream to manifest itself. The dream of freedom and equality in a place where our elected officials actually work for us, rather than against us. You know he's talking about these things in the allusions he makes to the Mayflower and the Western frontier. He says, "And I am waiting / for a rebirth of wonder / and I am waiting for someone / to really discover America/ and wail/" The poem ends with Ferlinghetti waiting forever and constantly seeking change similar to American citizens wishing and waiting for the same. Some use religion as a way to cope, to connect, but few could use religion as a weapon against others. Since religion began, over 195,035,000 lives have been lost in tragedies brought on in the name of faith. Regardless of the brutality religion has created, it has also caused others to come together in order to speak out. As a result of religions regression in society, humans are able to progress for the sake of defending human rights. Christianity is one of the largest religions to stand with more than 2.22 billion followers. However, not all Christians share the same stance on issues, whether it be political or moral. An example would be the Westboro Baptist Church; a hate group known for its hostility towards those who do not meet up to their standards, specifically members of the LGBT, Catholics, American soldiers, and Muslims. The church originally received national attention in October, 1998, for picketing the funeral of a man named Matthew Shepard who was beaten and tortured for being gay. Romaine Patterson, a friend of Shepard's, recalled that she couldn't take her eyes off of the neon signs that read, "God Hates Fags", "Matt in Hell", and "AIDS Cures Fags". From there, the church had displayed Shepard in their memorial section on their website. The page states that the church does not support the fact he was murdered, but that they picketed in order ... • 33. Great Britain And The European Union The recent decision of Great Britain to leave the European Union coincides with the recent election of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States. Both events can be explained by using economic and cultural arguments. In order to fully understand these occurrences, one must understand the economic anxiety as well as the anti–globalisation sentiment that surrounded the Brexit movement. Trump's candidacy involves some of the same aspects, yet Trump's voter demographic, the white, working class, must also be studied. In the end, it can be determined that there is arguably more of a cultural reasoning to these incidences. The instances of Great Britain's exit from the EU and the election of Donald Trump were both so originally downplayed that when both possibilities came to light, the world was in shock and awe. June 23, 2016 was the first shock as Great Britain held a referendum in order to decide the question of whether or not the country should remain within the European Union. Brexit was the winning vote. Political elites had been defeated and the complaints of the voters were heard. These complaints stemmed from economic anxiety within the country and the demise of the support of globalisation. The Economist article, "Drawbridges Up", describes the way in which voters wished to take control of borders once again in order to slow the flow of immigrants and refugees. Once his political career commenced, the media satisfied the audience's thirst to revise candidate Trump's history of privilege and business skills (and how he got them), to such an extent that the election of 2016 was almost omnipresent. I reexamined the sociological aspects in Tremonti's CBC session with David Cay Johnston. Johnston's stance is that Trump is a no–good manager, and that he will not be a good president. Charles Horton Cooley's "Looking Glass Self," explains how Trump became the man he is today. Lastly, Trump's extreme self–regard creates untrustworthy relations, which will be fatal for America's businesses and trades. Synopsis In CBC's podcast, Johnston exclaims that "[if] Trump ran the U.S. economy like he does his business, the U.S. would have terrible, terrible problems." Investigator and expert in US economics, David Johnson meant to study the spread of casino gambling when he went to Atlantic City. There, he met Donald Trump and began to investigate his taxes instead. Over the years he was able to collect "tens of thousands" of Trump's papers. The Trump Effect Donald Trump's meteoric political rise during the Presidential Election of 2016 put attention on the media and the way they covered the election and will forever change both politics and media going forward. Trump came down the escalator at his Trump Tower property and announced the official launch of his presidential campaign. Much like everything else he did in this campaign it was mired in controversy as this was the venue of the infamous statement and I quote "when Mexico send their people they aren't sending their best their rapist, their murders and drug dealers..." Initial reaction to Trump's announcement was mixed. Some thought it was a P.R stunt thinking he would quit after a few weeks, others started calling foul on his "bigoted and racist" statements against Mexicans, and yet some where excited having longed for a common–sense business minded person to run the country. Harry Frankfurt's book "On Truth" is relevant to the political storm that is brewing in American society due to the manipulation of the truth by political figures and mainstream media. Frankfurt approaches the importance of truth in a unique fashion and vilifies lies and those who spread them. This directly relates to the election year and how the truth is shrouded in mystery. The Daodejing and Socrates' writings, while both important in literature are not as pertinent to the charged political climate that is taking place in the United States right now. For the first time in American history there has been mass protests across the country due to the Republican nominated president–elect Donald J. Trump. People from many major cities went to the streets to say things like "Not My President" and "Never Trump." It is safe to say Trump 's campaign has been riddled with controversy and has been criticized by both major political parties. Trump 's campaign is not the only one with problems. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has been met with constant problems throughout her campaign she has been accused of numerous corruption scandals. Rose had been expecting to give birth at any time and went off by herself to do this. Travis finally located Rose and she had already given birth to the calf. In order to put a stop to this incident Travis called over Old Yeller to keep Rose in line. Old Yeller stood directly in front of Rose and thrashed forward staring at her. No matter how distinguished or subordinate our roles, we have some type of leadership responsibility over others. How does one effectively lead other people? What methods, ideas, and skills should leaders convey to the public? It is not always easy or fun to be a leader and it is almost guaranteed that a population will not like the views and beliefs of the one in charge. What type of person or idea comes to mind when someone says the word President? Hopefully, they are positive words like leader, intelligent, helpful, and hardworking. A president has one of the toughest leadership roles because he/she is placed in a position to make very tough decisions on topics that people have many varying opinions about. As a voter, it can be difficult to stay informed on topics and determine which party to choose. Is Lies And 2016 Primary Election Graduation Project First Draft Milo Norlin AP Literature– Cary Matthews 4/8/2016 Lies and the 2016 Primary Election In recent presidential elections, exaggerations and lies have become normal even while access to truthful information is increasing through the internet. Fact checking these lies has become a standalone section of the news industry, and there are several websites and organizations devoted to simply going through and researching the validity of candidates' statements. However, even though these organizations have been created and their findings have been publicized broadly, cross–party and blanketing exaggerations have continued from every candidate's campaign in the 2016 primary election. Trump just has to send out a tweet and it is instantly shared with his millions of followers and is then retweeted and shared and continues on an endless cycle of reposting. Trump also got people engaged with his clever slogan "Make America Great Again." According to Brad Parscale who served as a digital media stagiest on the Trump campaign said that "Facebook and Twitter helped us win this" (2016, Kokkad). • 65. Donald Trump 's Presidential Election Essay Donald's Trump's victory in the 2016 election is very complex. The political mishaps that have occurred since JFK's presidency reshaped the American psyche of who the president should be. This chain of dissatisfaction with the federal government led the American people to hope for a president who is honest, free of corruption, and supportive of the middle class. Trump recognized the American need for a new kind of president and took on a persona that perfectly exemplified this. The Trump Mythology is the belief that Donald Trump is a transparent, honest politician; however, this is only part of the equation. Belief in the Trump Mythology contributed to his victory, but it is also important to acknowledge the respective roles of demographics, voter turnout, and Hillary Clinton's flaws. An interesting difference between the Kennedy Mythology and the Trump Mythology that is worth noting is the role of the media. Throughout the Kennedy Era, popular media fed the people's fascination of Kennedy's Camelot, perpetuating the mythology. Donald Trump, however, was largely hated by popular culture. American media ultimately discounted Donald Trump as a viable contender for the presidency. From the very beginning of his campaign trail, Donald Trump piqued America's interest with his blunt and oftentimes shocking statements. With his candidacy came exclamations of making America great, building walls, deporting illegal immigrants, and keeping jobs in the United States. A Google search ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 67. The Role Of Diversity And Its Role For Journalism What is the role of diversity in the newsroom? Use of the term diversity and its role in journalism only calls attention to the lack of it in newsrooms and magazines across the country. In their absence, I'd argue that the true value of having people of various ethnic and racial backgrounds present in the newsroom has as much to do with improving the process of newsgathering and reporting as it does achieving racial parity. In short, I think the role of diversity in journalism is to make journalism better. For example, Donald Trump's recent visit to Mexico not only highlighted the divisions within the Republican Party but the junket also revealed the disparity as to who gets to tell the story of his bid for the Whitehouse. Aside from Trump's well–publicized spat with the news anchor Jorge Ramos; it's apparent the journalists assigned to covering the Trump campaign have not been representative of the country's population at–large. While they've done a great job covering many aspects of his campaign, it's not the full story. Trump's visit to Mexico also illustrates the importance of bilingualism. Unless the reporters assigned to the press junket are Mexican–American, a lot of cross–cultural nuances and the true tenor of what is being said are likely to be missed. In newsrooms where minorities are under represented, I'd also contend that major stories often go unreported. Unless, events reach the level of national scrutiny– like the riots in Ferguson, or become a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 69. Animal Symbolism, And Native American Totems In Literature "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." (Anatole France) Animals are an important aspect of human life. Whether it be for food or for companionship, animals have been a part of human society since the beginnings of civilization. They connect us to nature in both physical and spiritual aspects of life, and their actions influence the actions of humans. Although they seem mindless, animals in literature are important for strengthening one's morality because of what they symbolize. All animals are symbols for different human traits and emotions, what they symbolize is derived from Native American Totems. "A totem is a spirit being, sacred object, or symbol of a tribe, clan, family or individual." (Anderson) Each animal, or spirit guide, enter and exit lives depending on the direction that humans are headed and the tasks that need to be completed along the journey of life. Native beliefs further explain that a totem animal is one that is with oneself for life, both in the physical and spiritual world. Though people may identify with different animal guides throughout their lifetimes, it is this one totem animal that acts as the main guardian spirit. The Native American Totems, along with other cultural teachings, are what influenced many authors to write about animal symbolism. Prior to written languages, ancient peoples told animal stories by drawing symbolic visual narratives on the walls of their cave homes. These early ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Relationship between Customer Satisfaction and Brand Loyalty Abstract This study attempts to examine the impact of customer service (retail service quality and product quality) on brand loyalty. It focuses on the particular aspects of customer service: personal interaction, policy, reliability, and problem solving. Data will be collected through an in–person survey and an on–line survey immediately following the purchase or visit to the store or website. Another survey will be administered shortly after the customer obtains the product and has a chance to experience it. By contributing to the overall knowledge of customer service and brand loyalty, this research adds significant, valuable information on marketing to customers in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scientific Research Design The two types of investigation that would be needed is a field study interviewing customers immediately after their visit to a retail establishment and an on–line survey after the computer user visited the website. In both surveys, questions regarding customer service will be asked. They would inquire as to the details that pertained to their specific opinion of that day's retail service quality. The service quality could be questioned immediately after the persons' shopping experience; whether in person as they exited the store or on–line, which should help with their ease of recall. Questions would pertain to reliability, problem solving, and their personal interaction, as well as the store policies. Personal interaction would be determined by using a graded scale of the customer's perception of their attitude, problem solving, and overall care by the sales professional. For the on–line shopper, the questionnaire would differ. It would ask the customer to grade the ease of the transaction and the ability to maneuver throughout the website. The software would be graded instead of a sales person. Policy would be determined by inquiring about attitudes of the consumer of in store or on–line payment methods, order timing and shipping methods, and the handling of special orders. In both types of surveys, questions would be asked pertaining to their brand loyalty in the past. The same graded scale would be used in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 73. How Does Fundamentalism Affect Our Modern Day Society? Fundamentalism was first talked about during the debate by the Fundamentalist–Modernist in the 1920's. Fundamentalism is defined as a type of religion that upholds very strict beliefs from the scripture they worship. There are several people and groups such as John Nelson Darby, William Bell Riley, and one group that, been in the news a lot lately, Westboro Baptist Church. The members of Westboro Baptist Church are known in modern day as a group of people known for hate speeches against homosexual, Jews, and politicians. The definition of fundamentalism could lead one to believe that the members of the Westboro Baptist Church are in fact fundamentalists; however, they are just the opposite of that. When thinking about fundamentalism and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Knowing how far to push fundamentalist teachings is very important for fundamentalist. Members of Westboro Baptist have publically lacked the knowledge of when a line has been crossed and what makes a fundamentalist differentiate from a terrorist. For some people, categorizing Westboro Baptist Church as a fundamentalist group could be quite the stretch. Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas, is a church that was founded by Fred Phelps in 1955. As previously mentioned, this group is known for their hate speeches and preaches against all form of sin such as homosexuality, adultery, divorced, and remarriage.4 These sins are listed in the bible and shouldn't be committed but there are more sins in the bible that they are also ignoring such as: not feeding god's children that are hungry, accepting a bribe, wearing the clothing of the opposite sex, not forgiving others, and gambling. Most Baptist groups have the general beliefs of a typical Christian. When it comes to following Gods words presented to us in the Bible we must know our limits of what we can say and direct on others on what to believe. If members of Westboro Baptist Church are followers of Christianity, they are missing the most important thing that is taught to us as Christians: not to hate. Christians are taught that they should love everyone and treat them as they would want to be treated. As taught in this "strictly" Christian group they are suppose to protest with signs that have ... • 75. Argumentative Essay On Donald Trump Jack Sovereign Mrs. Binion LA11, Period 1 October 2, 2017 "Despite the negative press covfefe" (Donald Trump). What does it mean? Who or what is covfefe? Why was this said? Was it an accident? With all the questions, it seems there was only thing everyone can agree on – it was a quite unique tweet. Donald Trump, much like his tweets, is the very definition of an outlier. With no political experience, this man rose in the polls and was able to become the president of the United States, beating out Hillary Clinton, who had years of political experience under her belt. This is the same man who lives in a penthouse New York apartment. The same man who has repeatedly walked out on interviews, where as most people would have stayed for the free press, because he believed they were unfair questions. The list goes on and on. Donald Trump is in no way an average person, much less an average president. He is more, and defined much by his previous experiences. However, there are a couple of factors that really stand out in making Donald Trump an outlier. Donald Trump's views on free speech, his self confidence, and his unique business and marketing strategies all help to form Trump's identity and make him into the outlier he is today. One major factor that makes Donald Trump and outlier is his views on free speech. "The way I see it, critics get to say what they want to about my work, so why shouldn't I be able to say what I want to about theirs?" (Trump). This quote shows that Trump has the right to say whatever he wants to whoever he wants. This quote makes him an outlier because most people, regardless of popularity, would avoid saying negative things towards the press since the press are the ones who distribute the information about you. Another great Trump quote that reveals is further evidence for his views is. " I think more people should have that (speak up) attitude, and I think you'd find a lot more accurate reporting, including yours." The CNN Interviewer proceeds to ask for examples. "It doesn't matter, I don't think your viewers would be very interested in it nor do I want to embarrass you. ... • 77. Why Do We Use Labels Or Classification Towards Everything?... Why do we as a society use labels or classification towards everything? We label humans, animal, our groceries, plants, etc. Many of us think are because it helps us organize the life we live but that hasn't worked everyone. The labels we use have a negative impact to those who are one being labeled. Many of them try to live up to the labels or some labels degrade them. The labels with which we identify ourselves and others only keeps us divided and fighting each other instead of having us being unified. In our society today we discuss the immigration status. A candidate for the presidential seat Donald J. Trump has discussed his stance on Immigration. Mr. Trump during one of his campaign states, "When Mexico send its people, they're not sending their best. They are sending people who have a lot of problems, they are bringing that problem to us, they are bringing drugs, crime and they are rapists." This prescription adds on to immigrants are lazy, they are here to take jobs, etc. Also, everyone thinks all the immigrant are Mexicans. This has impacted for everyone to see an immigrant as the person who stops this country to reach its potential. The characterizes of immigration discuss by Donald Trump are not true. I was born in Guatemala and Latin American is bigger than just Mexico. When I migrated to the United States my parents were just looking to aspire a lifestyle.
