‘Silence Of The Lambs’ – the titles are bold and large
in the colour black. This grabs the audience’s
attention especially as they are placed in the centre
of the screen. Classical Music is played in the
background
In an opening of a thriller or Crime-thriller, the titles
are usually quite large and substantial block writing,
and are normally easily visible forthe audience
‘Se7en’ – creating an eerie feel with the
thunder storm and jumbled frequency
soundtrack, and the titles look like they’ve
been scraped into a wall. ‘Brad Pitt’ and
‘Morgan Freeman’ titles arrive alone on the
screen and move erratically creating a jumpy
feel for the audience

music tends to mostly start out with classical
or calmmusic, and then when titles arise, a
fast-paced, jumpy and ‘thrilling’ piece of music
usually kicks in to enhance a tense atmosphere
and create contrast
