My house in Ringwood - Timand Will’s house
The reason I have chosen my own houseto shootin is because when
it comes to the robbers coming in and trashing one of the rooms, I
don’t haveto worry aboutbreaking anything that belongs to anyone
else. Also, at my house I haveaccess to a good desk and a living room
with a laptop which can all be used in my film beginning.
2. Alley next to Piper’s Ash, Ringwood – The alleyway
The Winston Way Footbridge, Ringwood
I have chosen this particular alleyway as it is very ‘scummy’ looking
and has moss growing around and on it. It’s always quite shady
whenever I walk through this alleyway and I often feel threatened or
intimidated simply by its aesthetics and high brick wall. This is a
positive thing as I want Faegan (Tim) to feel intimidated by the
atmosphereas well as the people.
This footbridgedoesn’tplay a large part in my film beginning, but it
will appear in one of the shots at the very startalongside shots of
garages and trees/Ringwood. I choseto use this bridge as it’s quite
old and warn and has algae growing on it so supports the‘scummy’
feel to the film beginning.
3. Southampton Road, Ringwood
The Garages at Winston Way, Ringwood
I will be using Southampton road from both directions; one way for
when Tim (Faegan) walks to meet Dyl(Dylan) in the alleyway, and the
other way for when he runs back the way he came when he’s
sprinting back to retrieve the disc. I havechosen to usethis road
because it’s quite long so it has good potential for showing that Tim
(Faegan) is running for a long time.
Just like the footbridge, these garages don’tplay a large part in my
film beginning, but they will appear in one of the shots at the very
startalongside shots of the footbridge and trees/Ringwood. I chose
to use these garages as they’re quite old and grotty so they support
the ‘scummy’ feelof the film beginning.
4. Trees and Ringwood establishing shot
Just like the footbridgeand garages, these trees and shot of
Ringwood don’t play a large partin my film beginning, but they will
appear in one of the shots at the very start alongsideshots of the
footbridgeand the garages. I choseto use this location as it clearly
shows how Ringwood is a small, grey-looking town surrounded by
trees of the New Forest. Italso does a good job at setting the scene
and location before moving in to the characters on the lower ground.
