Tim is a geeky software developer who has created a tracking software on a disc. He meets with a gang leader named Dyl to sell him the disc but accidentally gives him the wrong disc due to his housemate Will mixing up the discs. Dyl gives Tim one hour to retrieve the correct disc or he will kill him. Tim rushes home but finds that two robbers have broken in and stolen the disc. One robber shoots the other and flees with the disc. Tim returns home in a panic as his time runs out, not knowing who now has the disc and with his life threatened if he does not get it back.

FADE IN:
EXT. RINGWOOD – LATE AFTERNOON
‘Future People’ by Alabama Shakes starts playing. There is a set of
garages, some trees, and a bridge over the dual carriageway to set
the feeling of ‘gloominess’. TIM, a shy man in his early twenties,
who would be considered a geek, lives in a council house with his
friend WILL, a confident street smart guy. TIM is in a rush to leave
his house. He picks up a disc case and leaves swiftly.
EXT. A GRITTY ALLEYWAY
He walks down the road towards the alley where he meets the gang
leader, DYL. He’s heavy set, with a thick beard and is wearing a
beanie and baggy clothes. He is also with two other men (HENCHMEN)
from his gang who are standing a step behind him, one on either
side.
DYL
“Let me see it then-”
TIM
“Oh, uh, hello.”
Simultaneously, TIM hands the disc case to DYL as he hands TIM a
roll of cash. DYL then opens the case and sees that it’s not the
right disc.
DYL
“What…is this exactly?”
TIM
“I…I don’t understand.”
2. INT. TIM’S LIVING ROOM
Going back in time, WILL is putting a DVD disc, which he’s just been
watching, into the software disc case thinking it’s just a spare
case. TIM is busy working on the software disc in his laptop at this
point so therefore he doesn’t notice the disc-swap which will later
prove to be a life threatening accident. This is dramatically ironic
as the audience know what has gone wrong, and yet the characters do
not.
EXT. BACK TO THE GRITTY ALLEYWAY
DYL
“One hour – Or you’re a dead man.
TIM looks around, shocked and confused at the situation.
DYL
Well go on!”
DYL sets a stopwatch to 1:00:00 (1 hour) and chucks it at TIM. TIM
takes the stopwatch. The sound track of ‘Ready, Steady, Go’ by Paul
Oakenfold starts playing and he runs away from the alley.
EXT. A STREET OF RINGWOOD
TIM runs home as fast as possible and whilst looking back and forth
at the stopwatch frequently as it counts down.
EXT. TIM’S HOUSE
Meanwhile his travel back, at his house. There’s two robbers
outside. They’re dressed in all black with a hat of some description
on their heads (perhaps covering their faces). They break in and
trash the house in search of the disc. They rummage through drawers
and cupboards. LOU goes over to the laptop, opens it up, presses
‘eject’, and out comes the software disc.
LOU
“Got it. I can’t wait to get the money for this. He’s going to
be really happy with us.”
DAN
“Happy with me - yes.”
DAN raises a gun and shoots his ‘partner’ in crime in the back after
the word “yes”. LOU falls to the ground, dead. DAN then flees from
the house swiftly, taking the disc with him.
TIM is still rushing home. He gets home to see that his house has
been broken into. He rushes around his house panicking in search of
3. the disc. He knows his life is now on the line and if he doesn’t get
the disc back, he’ll be killed.
The stopwatch beeps on 0:00:00.
The titles of ‘KEEP IN SIGHT’ rise up on the screen.
