2. These questions tell us if we gathered information that is relevant to our
target audience. As we are making a Horror film, our research indicates that
we would need to target a younger audience, which is predominantly male.
Unfortunately our questionnaire responses were not in correlation with the
typical horror audience. However this should not effect the accuracy of our
results too much, as the genders are not too unbalanced.
3. Other responses:
• Enjoy a good culty film with no rules (ghost
dog, the warriors, drive )
• Independant
The answers to this question should
help us to tailor the themes of our film
around the right genre conventions that
suit our target audience. Our film will
still include mainly the use of horror
conventions.
4. Answers:
• Insidious

5. These results will help with the marketing campaign for our
horror film and will allow us to appeal to our target audience
with the appropriate mediums.
6. The purpose of these questions is to find out what kind of content
our audience will expect to see in a horror film. We will use this
information to plan our production with the most effective mise en
scene, props, wardrobe, narrative, and use of gore.
7. These results will help us to plan when
and where to distribute our film, by
cleverly avoiding similar release times as
other more popular films. These results
tell us that our audience, on average, will
not view more than 2 films a month at
the cinema. This will lessen the size of
the gap in the market.
