2. Anorectal disorders are painful but
common conditions like hemorrhoids,
tears, fistulas, or abscesses that affect the
anal region. Most people experience some
form of anorectal disorder during their
lifetime
4. Bleeding piles, are swellings containing
enlarged blood vessels found inside or
around the bottom (the rectum and anus).
There is a network of small veins (blood
vessels) within the lining of the anal canal.
These veins sometimes become wider and
engorged with more blood than usual
5. Too much straining due to constipation,
indigestion, irregular eating habits and
prolonged sitting habits can lead to
development of Non bleeding piles.
Sometimes the walls of these blood
vessels stretch so thin that the veins bulge
and get irritated, especially when you pass
stool.

7. Superficial tearing of the skin over the anal
sphincter (anoderm).
It is sometimes related to bout of straining or
postpartum. It predominates in women than
men.
Sx: local pain at fissure site
Fissures mostly present at posterior midline
Minor bleeding may be noted
Constipation may be present which may be
cause or effect of the fissure

9. An anal fistula is
frequently the result of a
previous or current anal
abscess. This occurs in
up to 50% of patients
with abscesses
They are complications
to abscess forming
diseases like Crohn’s
disease
10. Severe pain during bowel movements
Pain after bowel movements that can last
up to several hours
Bright red blood on stool after motion
Itching or irritation around the anus
A visible crack in the skin around the anus
A small lump or skin tag on the skin near
the anal fissure
