4. Entering Class
 Be in the room before the bell rings.
 Go to your locker immediately and get your
supplies out.
 Large instr. build at locker; small instr. build at
seat.
 Perc set up all mallet instruments and get out
workbook.
 You will have 2 minutes to complete the set
up.

5. To Start Class
 Pencil on stand
 Workbook or music out of binder and on stand
 Tuner on stand
 Everything else completely under chair

6. During Class
 Music out of sheet protectors

7. During Class
 Eye contact when teacher speaks

8. During Class
 Mark music for corrections

9. During Class
 Raise hand for comments and
questions

10. During Class
 Mouthpiece on/in mouth on count
off

11. During Class
 Correct playing position and
posture

12. During Class
 Positive body language and
energy

13. During Class
 Apply what you already know

14. Don’t Know What To Do?
 Do the RIGHT thing.
 Behavior is productive and
effective.

 Wait for teacher to indicate pack-up
 Push down music stand
 Line up chairs in row
 Put music and books in binder

18. End of Class
 Look around your chair and pick up any
garbage or scraps-throw away!
 Clean instrument, take apart, place in case,
lock case
 Put materials in band locker (if using one)
 Close locker door

19. End of Class
 Return to ASSIGNED seat.
 Fix things in the room which need to be fixed
or picked up.
 Teacher will dismiss when the bell rings.
