Production
1. 1. The setting we chose for our preliminary idea is outside in a park where there are
deadly cannibals lurking around waiting to attack. It’s cold and dark the mood is
frightening, its around 1 am in the morning. James and Jack or as known as the JJ’s
the typical daredevils of the neighbourhood were dared by their friends to spend a
whole night in the park alone with no one to protect them from the dangers they are
about to encounter. The reason this park was chosen is due to terrifying reputation of
sucking the souls out of those who enter and the JJ’s have decided to take on the
challenge.
2. There was a boy in a mansion. The reason he is there is to deliver a package to the
home owners. However when he gets there the door is left wide open and there is no
one in the house. He later finds out that he’s yet not alone there is a darker , more
powerful being that is orbiting him and watching his every move. As soon as he
enters the door quickly slams behind him and there is no visual way of him getting
out the house. At this moment in the scene wide shots would be used to show that he
is alone and that there is obviously a deeper force controlling the movement and
energy in the house. The decor of the house is old fashioned 80’s feel to it where the
furniture is all dark oak and long curtains that surface the floor. In the centre of the
hallway there is 1960’s glass chandelier that is the only source of light in this room.
From the front door being left open it is the only other source of light. But because
the door shut behind him there is utter darkness to be seen.
Our last and final idea is going to be about a woman who is into dark magic and suddenly it
takes the wrong turn on her and she becomes possessed by a demon with the same
characteristics as her but with an evil twist. This is similar to the omen but with a modern
twist because this doesn’t just happen at night it happens twenty four hours a day and every
day. The madness doesn’t stop its consistent. This story is also symbolical for teenagers as
it teaches them that they shouldn’t play with things they don’t have a deeper understanding
of.
The one we have chosen is idea 2:
1. The second idea that we have chosen is a boy in a mansion. The reason he is there
is to deliver a package to the home owners. However when he gets there the door is
left wide open and no one in the house. He later finds out that he yet not alone in the
house. As soon as he enters the door quickly slams behind him and there is no visual
way of him getting out the house. At this moment in the scene we would use a wide
shot to show that he is alone and that there is obviously a deeper force controlling
the movement and energy in the house. The decor of the house has a old fashioned
80’s feel to it where the furniture is all dark oak and long curtains that surface the
floor. In the centre of the hallway there is a glass chandelier that is the only source of
light in this room. From the front door being left open the only other source of light
would be the door being left open but because the door shut behind him there is
alone darkness to be seen. We thought this would be powerful because it would
create tension and suspense. The genre of this production will be a thriller/horror. We
chose to do this because we thought that it would be more appealing to our
audiences. The theme of our production is stalkers and murderers.
