4. Algebraic Expression
● An algebraic expression is made up of terms.
● A term can be a number, a variable, a constant, or a constant
multiplied to a variable or variables.
● A variable is any letter from a to z that represents an unknown
number or quantity. It does not have a fixed value.
● A term that does not have a variable is called a constant,
whose value is fixed.
● In a term with both a number and a variable, the number is
called a numerical coefficient while the variable is called
literal coefficient.
