3. A production company are also responsible for making up the budgets of the movies and work out all the different finances on how much they think the movie will cost to make.

4. They also hire out then main key actors/actresses, such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolene, Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and other main key actors/actresses which they believe will be suitable for the specific role.

5. The production company’s role is to ensure that everything is on target, they will be responsible for any faults that go wrong with the movie.

7. The Production Company Logo’s You Have Chosen or Created. For our opening sequence we had made our own production company logo. Black Screen Productions was the name of our production company as we thought it would go well with our theme as it was a thriller. For our font we had used “Itchy” from LiveType because as a group we had decided that Red would look well on a black background. However, our group had looked at many thrillers openings before making ours. Thrillers like, Se7en, Shifty, State of Play and Blade 2 were a great way for our group to get ideas.

8. What Does A Distributor Do? A film distributor are people who are individually responsible for the film to be released, so the public are able to view in the cinema’s once the film is out and for home viewers to watch on a DVD or a Blu-ray DVD. Film distributors are also people who would want films to be released in many shops for the customers to buy. The distributor is responsible for making sure film advertisements are in a full line and are constantly being made for the new films that are being released. Each film distributor believes that the films will attract the largest audience by creating adverts. For our opening our group had picked paramount because we thought if we had included this, it would look more realistic and it is a well known film distributor. With the paramount film distributor, it has also been successful and effective for other films which are either thriller or horror movies such as; The Uninvited. As paramount has been successful with other films. Our film is targeted to audiences such as; 15 year olds because our group had discussed it would be suitable and would appeal to them as many age groups aged 15 and above would be interested in watching movies such as

9. Why Have You Chosen The Distribution Companies You Have To Release Your Film? Our group had chosen ‘Paramount’ because we thought by having Paramount at the beginning would have given it a more realistic effect and we thought it would have also been a great start to the movie as we had put a lot of effort into it, with the different effects. We had also chosen Paramount as a distribution company because we thought it would have a strong effect to our film from the beginning. Our final point for using Paramount as the distribution company was because Paramount is mainly used for thrillers and horrors and as our film was a thriller we thought this would be the best option.

10. How Might Your Film Have Been Funded? Our film might have been funded by small companies and businesses in different local areas and would help us if it got released because we would make a profit from it and would also be funded from other films that have been produced by the small company ‘Black Screen Productions’.
