 A Production Company Logo is used by movie studios to trademark
what they produce. They are mainly shown in the beginning of
the movie or scene. A production company essentially helps to
create the film. its assists in the budgeting, scheduling, scripting,
casting and more. The company usually looks over the film from
when its just an idea to completion. They are responsible for
majority of the roles of the production of the film and casting.
However they are also responsible if anything were to go wrong
on the film, for example and actor being injured or property
being damaged.

 The production company logo we have created has a massive element to
my opening. It shows who my opening scene is, represented by and also
can hint out which type of genre it is linked into. I have used black and
white as my color scheme as it signifies a dark entity, the colours as plain
and simple but represent a lot, it is joint in with dark horror. It fits in well
with our genre and is something we were proud of whilst making it. Its
dark, evil and gets to the point. The company name is ‘Dark Vision’ and
it joins with the horror genre. The ‘Dark Vision’ is presented by a vision of
a pitch black eye with a devil coated, mysterious iris. As you can see my
logo does not have a border, it just shows the eye; this is to make the
logo look more professional.
 My production logo has a human eye as its main background, it links in with
the company name ‘Dark Vision’ as it displays that somebody or
something is watching you. It sums up an evil entity visualising dark,
malicious surroundings. ‘Dark Vision Productions’ has a blood type font,
written in black as it portrays everything as dark.
 My audience can instantly envision that my genre is horror as they see my
production company logo. I hope my audience can feel the horror and
shock whilst watching my opening scene. The logo is freaky and
mysterious, it should easily fright the audience into what they will be lead
to watching.


 The role of a film distributor is to ensure that as many people as possible go
watch the film, that the film is internationally well known and provides
audiences with access to the film. Once the production of the film has
been finished, the distributors begin to work on the films release strategy,
then the film distributor will then secure the screening of the films within
cinemas. It is also the responsibility to ensure that the film is able to reach
its target market and ensure no loss is made, just profit. This also includes
budget handling and advertising and costs. As well as posters, TV
interviews, news involved, television and radio adverts.
 So the role of a film distributor is mainly put up t a lot of work by handling
release dates, which cinema it is being shown to, DVD/download
releases.

5. Which film distributor would you choose forWhich film distributor would you choose for

We have decided to use E-Stars Films as our film distribution. This
is because they have been involved in a number of horror films
such as ‘Sinister’, ‘I, Frankenstein’ and ‘Riddick’. These films have
been extremely successful, been promoted and advertised
successfully and have made huge profit. As they have made a
huge success on horror films, we have decided to choose E-
Stars Films as our film distributors because our film is also a horror.
They are also trusted and well known for releasing films
internationally, which we would like to do.

6. How would your film beHow would your film be

 We would hope to get the British Film Institute to fund our
film, as they already invest over £26 million of lottery funds
to support film development, production and distribution
activity in the UK. We would apply for the funding and
hope the BFI would support our film. They would be able
to provide us the money so we wouldn’t be in financial
difficulty whilst in the production of our film. This would
also help us to advertise and promote our film in other
countries other than the UK.

them?them? It is important and needed for film openings to include titles.
People that have worked hard on preparing and making
the film have to have recognition of their involvement of
the film. This may include, director, producer, costume,
editor, music and a wide range more. Every name should
be accounted and should be recognised for their help
and role. Our titles were fading into the shots and were
used throughout the opening scenes. They were bold
and clear for the audience to see who participated for
which role.

 I think movies like 300, Sinister, Final Destination and Saw have all
influenced me to make a horror/action of my own, which can
entertain people like it has entertained me. The horror/action
gives me an adrenaline rush whilst watching them and I always
wonder how it feels to be a part of something which includes
great camera work, music, characters, thrilling plot and
storylines. These films have a lot of suspense and always wants
me wanting more. At the end of the film I always wish and can’t
wait for a sequel. And this has given me the influence and
excitement to make a horror/action of my own and want
people craving more.
