2. What does a Production company do? A production company is a company that is responsible for the film from start to finish. They are also responsible for raising funds for the production. They also are the ones which get the financial rewards for the final product if it is good. When in process of making a film, the production companies will draft a business proposal to studies and will pitch the ideas for the movie. The production company is responsible for hiring most of the people involved in making a movie , such as the director and actors. The production company makes sure that everything is on target and keeps to budget.
3. The production company logos you have chosen and or created and why? Our group chose to create our own Production Logo, because it was convenience and there were four members in our group and each letter stands for a member within the our group. The reason that we have used these coloursfor the logo is because they simply just our most likes colours.
4. What does a distributor do? A film distributor is responsible for releasing the film. They are accountable for ensuring that the film has a full line of advertising material on each film so that it is attracted by the widest potential audience.
5. Why have you chosen distribution companies you have to release your film. The reason that we chose Universal distribution company to release our film is because it is a widely known distribution company and is used by ‘Inside Man’, which is a crime thriller which was what our film opening was based on.
6. How might your film be funded? As our film is similar to ‘Inside Man’, we could have used Universal to help fund our film if we had a well known actor because just like ‘inside Man’ which had a budget of $45,000,000.But because were a low budget and UK film company we could perhaps use BBC or Film four to fund our film because they have before funded other crime thrillers.
