6. PRE-HISTORIC ERA
•Pre-historic era includes all human existence
before the emergence of writing. Their art is of
interest not only to the art historians but also to
archeologist ad anthropologist, for whom the art
is only one clue – an understanding of early
human life and culture.
7. PAINTINGS FROM PRE-
HISTORIC ERA
• Their art works have been observed inside the caves
which can also have been their way of speaking with
others. In addition, their artworks maybe for non-
secular or ceremonial purposes. These paintings
would possibly be an artifact of an archeological proof
of a proper image of humans first created art.
Prehistoric drawings of animals were often suitable in
proportion.
9. SCULPTURES FROM PRE-

• Materials used vary
according to region and
locality. Archeologists
believed that their
sculpture is a result of
natural erosion and not
of human artistry.
10. ARCHITECTURES FROM PRE-
HISTORIC ERA
• Man has developed a form of architecture based on
“megaliths” (big rock) from the Greek word “lithos”
(stone) and “megas” (big).
• The architecture is made of huge stone blocks which
were probably intended for burial.
