Roles & Responsibilities Performance:
To develop and execute a supply chain planning strategy that will yield significant results and take the
company to the next level of supply chain performance.
Maintain excellent communication lines with all sources of demand/Supply.
Use credibility, planning knowledge, and expertise to influence demand/Supply process as
appropriate.
Develop & provide monthly planning models for all products by implementing extensive inventory
control and process development techniques to minimize variability impact and maximize production
utilization. Tracking dispatches from plants and suggest change in MOD as required. Ensure timely
delivery to customers/markets.
Measuring Supply Chain performance through MIS reports and real time database. Ensuring high
quality and on time completion of reports backed up with required analysis and information.
Have been able to improve upon the use of tools like SAP, MDG and other intra company database in
managing demand & supply, and engineered collaboration and changes where needed along the way
to make our tools and processes stronger.
Drive scenario planning for new product launches/switches/transfer, ensuring flexibility in supply
response to meet inevitable variances to initial launch forecasts. Provide Site relevant inputs to the
GNPI leaders. Coordinate new product launch plans for the cluster/ division. Ensuring correct visibility
to production in order to meet Launch dates. Develop multiple scenarios to assist in driving long range
plans and capacity analysis.
Monitor the inventory levels and coordinate with purchase to maintain adequate levels of packing and
raw materials to manufacture the product for delivery of FG in the scheduled date..
Manage the expedition of product releases to alleviate inventory shortages via business management
utilizing intra and inter departmental correspondences.
Represent PPIC on current and new Product/Operations Development Teams to insure product
manufacturability, efficient production methods, and plant efficacy. .
Understand how PPIC fits in business process to provide development opportunities and continuous
process improvement.
Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and training to other Planners and Buyers as to enhance
the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Accomplishments:
Introduced weekly CTP with customers & monthly S&OP with site leadership processes at site.
Improved ratio of sea shipments from 30% to 70 % of shipments by introducing LCL concept for
Europe. Changed Customer Incoterms from “Ex works” to CIP to get benefits of Sea Transportation
Optimized inventory levels from above 120 days of DOC/DOH to 65 days of DOC/DOH within 6
months after joining in existing organization.
Achieved 100% OTIF launches from site as NPI leader from Site.
Coordinated and completed successfully 23 Japan products tech transfer to the site within a year.
Introduced Customized reports in SAP for MIS along with SAP Support team.
Maintaining “Zero” back orders as on date since Dec-15.
Improved capacity occupancy by 14% by campaign based production with aligning customer demands
accordingly thus by improved output by 15% when compared with last year performance.
While in production department of HDC, Improved average daily output of 15 K units to 28 K units in the
year of 2009 by smooth handling of around 80 Union workers.
