2. I addressed my audience with the use of casual and simplistic language to
spark their interest with the use of short witty language as oppose to long
sophisticated sentences. This makes it easier for me to attract my niche age
group of 16-30 year olds (teens/young adults) by encouraging them to read on
with enticing insights into the articles. Another way I have attracted my
audience is through the use of images and content, as they are both key
elements in selling a media product. My images are relevant to my articles and
genre, as well as being sharp and clear, which appeals to all. The content was
carefully chosen to correspond with my chosen music style and theme so that
people would take an interest. Additionally, I have included a lot of content
(i.e. listing lots of stories and articles on the CP, long interview on DPS, plenty of
cover lines), which will make the readers feel like they are certainly getting
what they pay for, encouraging their loyalty to regularly purchasing the
magazine.
