3. Everyone wants to improve...to achieve BETTER
PERFORMANCE, SUCCESS, HAPPINESS,
RELATIONS...
We first need to understand what we seek,
what we need, desire and FEEL.
It seems easy, but try to remember when as
the last time that you have taken a FULL DAY to
inner-reflection, to think about YOU.
When as tha last time you have wrote about
YOU, about what you need and what you are?
Some people never did...
YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT DO YOU
SEEK, NEED, DESIRE, EXPECT...AT LEAST WHAT
YOU FEEL...
4.
5. Self-Knowledge help us to take better
decisions.
When I know what do I need, desire, believe,
trust, like...a can make better decisions, right?
It seems easy, and you probably can say...I
KNOW MYSELF WELL.
How many times you ask yourself: DAM, I knew
that was coming. How couldn’t I saw it? If I
could go back in time I would do it differently...
Why does it happens? Because, many of our
decisions are based purelly on instincts and
experience and no inner-reflection.
If we make better decisions we will be
probably more recognized by the actions we
choose to do...
And that will take us to OUR space of success.
7. Mentors can make a great deal in our life's in
what it takes for helping us taking good
decisions.
But don’t ask for HELP to a mentor...
If you do, you might be frustrated...
Mentors are NOT Gate keepers for success,
new jobs or trainers...
Some can DO it, Some will try to HELP you
achieve those goals.
BUT IS NOT THE MENTORS ROLE TO DO IT.
8.
9. A mentor should be faced as an ADVISOR and
not a HELPER
Although he might give you Access, Network
and potentiate opportunities, don’t expect
that.
The wisdom of your mentor comes from his or
her experience.
The more and different experiences a mentor
had the better he or she can potentially advise
YOU.
This is what you should expect from a
MENTOR.
A valid perspective for your questions and
doubts
11. But is just one perspective.
You should think on having more than one
mentor.
When you have to decide something really
important what do you do?
1. Take the decision of your own, no
questions made...
2. Ask a friend and them take a decision...
3. Ask for different perspectives and them
take a decision. RIGHT
If you have chosen wisely your will probably
picked different personalities.
They give different perspectives and that is the
value of having people that are different
12.
13. Along the way YOU will need different
mentors, as YOU will have different type of
challenges and decisions YOU have to make.
As in golf, the way you evolve dictates the type
of mentor you need to grow.
In life or in your job you might have to look for
new mentors during the years...
14.
15. Mentors are very important because they
don’t LIE
He is not your wife / husband, not your best
friend or colleague...
He shouldn't have no reason to tell nothing but
the real TRUTH
16. How to choose a mentor?
FIT is key
If you don’t like him, you will never ask
him for an advise
Speed up the knowledge process to
understand what type of mentor you
have.
The more you know your mentor the
better you understand how he can
advise you.
17.
18. The first MOVE should always be yours
The second move should be also Yours
And the third...the same
It’s you that need the advise.
YES, the mentor have responsabilitities
– But at the end, if you don’t make the
questions, your don’t get the answers.
