Cover Art In Dracula
In summarizing the works of Sigmund Freud, Robert Michaels concluded, "Everything in the world
is about sex except sex. Sex is about power" (Seeling 118). Bram Stoker's 1897 gothic horror novel
Dracula is no exception to this primordial certainty. With disregard to the negative attitudes
exhibited toward human sexuality throughout the Victorian era, the pages of Dracula are implicitly
saturated with erotic symbolism, imagery, and allegory. Consequently, for more than a century,
many of the various illustrations used as cover art for the novel have echoed the book's exploration
of the forbidden fruit, the titillating, and taboo. The Dracula cover art as pictured above,
conspicuously portrays the duality of the male obsession with feminine sexuality ... Show more

Further, it represents menstrual taboo within society. While erotic images of the naked female body
are celebrated and embraced as in the collage. Womanhood is reviled openly because of this idea
that naturally occurring biological cycles are repulsive and therefore women are also repulsive. The
manner with which the one feminine figure takes the place of the man's mouth represents that this
idea of women as sexual beings is unspeakable. It relays that men enjoy the sensual nature of
women, yet the topic should be suppressed. The only distinguishable facial characteristic on the
male's face, the eye, is also very important. The eye represents the all–seeing, authority, and
supremacy. The male eye can look upon the females naked bodies. He can derive pleasure from the
women yet return upon them judgement and shame. The eye, therefore is the figurative
representation of unbalanced power between the

Cover Art Symbolism In The Great Gatsby
As one of the most recognizable book covers in the history of American literature: two sad female
eyes and bright red lips adrift in the deep blue of a night sky, hovering ominously above a carnival
scene. Full of sorrow and excess, this image has become so connected to The Great Gatsby by F.
Scott Fitzgerald, that many of the elements within the cover such as the eyes and the figure within
them reflect the haunting messages found in the novel. Arguably, the most prominent image in the
cover art is the eyes. The eyes on the cover art symbolize that everything these characters do are
always being watched. The eyes could be representing God and how he is looking down on the
world of The Great Gatsby. For example, the city is seen below the eyes which show that it is being
looked upon. Eyes are a symbol that is used throughout the book. They exist in the billboard of
Doctor T.J Eckleberg, another symbol of how judgement is being passed on towards the characters.
Also, within the eyes a nude woman is seen. The irises of the eyes with nude women lounging in
them represent Jay Gatsby's views on his hopeful future with Daisy Buchanan. They also represent
the wealthy, since this book strips away their outer shell and shows their true nature. ... Show more

The disassembled face is Daisy. The face is not solid and the parts that are on it are as if they are
floating. Nothing is defined and this represents Daisy because she does not know where she stands
as a person and she always conforms to society. She is not confident in herself as a wife and mother.
Another point of view as to why she has no face or body is because Gatsby had dreamed about her
so much that his "perfect" idea of her was no longer real anymore. Also in the face, under the left
eye is a tear. The green tear represents the green light and the hopeful spirits of new beginnings in

Career Goals For A Professional Career Goal
There must to be sacrifice and dedication on the road to obtaining a degree. That sacrifice and
dedication doubles when the student is a middle–aged adult with a full–time job and other financial
obligations. It is not easy juggling a full–time job and being a full–time student. The art of time
management is a valuable tool to master and will definitely help with balancing everything and
getting all tasks completed. Professional Career Statement Creating a professional career goal
statement can significantly impact a resume. According to (Starzee, 2012) a professional career goal
statement allows the candidate an opportunity to provide the employer a synopsis of the value they
intend to bring to the organization. Below is a professional goal statement for a Client Relationship
Professional: Engaging Client Relations Manager adept at evolving complex client proposals.
Expertly skilled in various business operations including client billing conflict resolution and the
implementation of effective business policies and procedures. Proficient in developing and nurturing
productive client relationships. The rationale for the above professional career goal statement is that
it shows that the professional is more than capable of performing the duties and also has the highest
level of personal skill to interact with clients. In Depth Analysis The jobs that I will be applying for

The Beach Boys Research Paper
For a person to go a day without hearing music is a rare occurrence. Music is found on the radio, in
videos, and in advertisements. Music, being found in every person's life every single day, it is
continually changing–– to some for the better, while to others' opinions, the worse. Music lacking
originality will not stand the test of time. Nowadays, music is found on everywhere: on applications
like iTunes and Spotify, as well as on CD; but, fifty years ago, vinyl and singles were the only way
to listen to music other than the radio. Albums on vinyl records are seven inches around, and are
produced after musicians record a song by putting a layer of lacquer together. Musical notes are

The American cover displays two men shaking hands, with the man on the right on fire. NME
Magazine speaks of the cover art's meaning: "Designer Storm Thorgerson says, 'The theme for this

White Album' so we shrink–wrapped the LPs in black and opaque cellophane. Some fans cut the

bassist Roger Waters claims that the whole band didn't put forth effort into each and every meeting
in the studio, and after previous band member Syd Barrett came into the studio bald and overweight,
inspiring him to write songs based around the idea of isolation and sadness. One song, "Shine On

Good Cover Letters
When I decided to reenter the workforce and began the tedious and gut–wrenching task of sending
out resumes and good cover letters for resumes to every employer I could think of, I quickly
realized my hard work and tenacity were not getting me very far. I am a pretty decent writer, and I
thought my good cover letters for resumes were truly works of art. I was sure I would get at least an
interview for each and every one of these beauties.
But I was barely getting even so much as a courtesy confirmation that my good cover letters for
resumes were being received in the appropriate HR mailbox, much less an interview.
I dug into every contact I had, and twisted a few arms to get early heads up on any one retiring, or
being fired. I canoodled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is a sad reality in the corporate world where they still think they want one person per task,
instead of sharing the work load as a creative collaborative effort. So for my good cover letters for
resumes to really have the desired effect: (get me an interview) I needed to narrow their focus a bit.
You need to sound less fancy when writing your good cover letters for resumes.
What? This threw me for a loop. But she explained: My writing was in fact great. I had a very
extensive vocabulary and my sentences were complex and interesting.
Unfortunately this was not a good thing. In fact it was hurting my good cover letters for resumes for
two reasons, both of which are silly but true:
1. It makes me sound like an insufferable prig. Certainly not the impression you want your good
cover letters for resumes to leave.
2. The managers I am applying with are likely less verbal, and might feel threatened if they were to
hire someone they viewed as possibly "smarter" than they are.
I found this last one a bit far fetched, but she assured me that while many managers realize the value
of having people on your team with better skills than your own, just as many are insecure and would

life that two men of the same sex. Same love depicts how strong the same sex are through all of the
struggles they have to go through on a daily basis, but at the same time showing their strength, and
not putting them in a one dimensional role like most television shows, skits, videos and music

the first commercial hit hip–hop song talking about marriage equality. Same love depicts the life of
the same sex and the hardship they had to go through. In Macklemore short seven minute music

Album Cover Designer
About:
The world of music was changed in the late 1800s with Thomas Edison's invention of the
gramophone. Since then the technology used to play and record music has evolved, starting first on
cylinders, then to records, cassette tapes, compact discs and now digital files. The first record album
covers were first designed in the 1930's. While the size and format of 'album covers' continues to
change, the visual design that goes with recorded music remains important.
The front cover is a key component of the overall packaging of an album. A great album cover

An Analysis Of Nevermind's Cover Art
"Nevermind's cover art was one such political statement, a clear expression of disgust towards
capitalism." (Bickerdike, 2014)
Never mind the English idiom "don't judge a book by its cover". As a consumerist society, we tend
to instinctively make assumptions based on initial appearance. Since the invention on the LP back in
1948, the recording industry adapted the concept of the cover art as to visually represent the artists
and music. Music albums across the world are sold inside universal sleeves branded with a
particular image allowing the work to be instantly recognisable amongst all others. The cover art of
Nirvana's 1991 release Nevermind has prevailed to be one of the most recognizable album covers of

a sense of seriousness while communicating "WE ARE NIRVANA. THIS IS OUR ALBUM. THIS

warped. The warped font can connote with feeling of being submerged underwater, further linking
with cover art's intended ideology. Observing the two words together could interpret a deeper

Historical Precedents For The Rise Of Rock ' N ' Roll
Covers versions are credited to be "one of the most important precedents for the rise of rock 'n' roll."
This "commercial and musical phenomenon" is the use of a previously recorded song that is either
remade or reinterpreted by another group or artist. There is an argument that cover versions are
employed by bands and artists in order to "cash in" on the success that the original version provided
the original artist. However, as in all debates, there is a side that argues that cover versions
reinterpret or reimage the original song and change the experience and the meaning of the song
based on how the artist or group reinterprets or reimages it. In the following singles, "California
Dreamin'," "I Will Always Love You," and "She's Like the Wind" there are examples of the latter
argument of artists reinterpreting or reimaging the original singles in their covers. Starting in
California, where dreamin' is a way to contemplate the meaning of one's life. At least that is the
Mamas and Papas' original version of "California Dreamin.'" The Mamas and Papas were a group
situated in Los Angles and the Southern California pop scene and what made them emerge out
among other pop or folk groups was the mixture of male and female voices. "California Dreamin,'"
recorded by The Mamas and Papas in 1965, is credited to be "an anthem of those heady times" of
the 1960s. Although the single never reached the number one spot on the charts, the single remained

This desire for change is symbolized by the cover art. The album draws attention to issues within
the world that make it a worse, more problematic place. This state of the world is represented by
white light. The light suggest that people are pure in thought, and naïve: they don't know about the
problems of the world. Humans need a catalyst to start a revolution so they can move away from
obsessions with money, the pain of war and ignoring poverty. That catalyst is represented by the
prism. Change could happen if people would use their time wisely and work for it. Artist like Pink
Floyd and the attitude of the youth that bought their albums in the 1970s could act as catalyst for
change. This changed, informed world is represented by the rainbow. Multiple colors and hue are
represented, meaning that people are aware of issues within the world. This knowledge has not
harmed the human race though, it has turned it into something beautiful. The complete image shows

The Grass Is Always Greener In Carl Sandburg's Grass
The Grass Is Always Greener (Over the Cemetery): the Use of Proper Nouns, the Imperative Tense,
and Tension Between the First and Third Person in Carl Sandburg's Grass When a battle is over, the
field on which it was fought must look like a wound on the face of the earth: the blood–soaked
ground strewn with bodies, lying in mud churned by thousands of marching feet. Eventually, grass
grows over the battlefield, hiding the evidence of the horrors that took place there under a blanket of
green. In years to come, the area appears so unremarkable that passersby have no indication of what
took place there. However, without remembrance, what is to stop history from continually repeating
itself? Carl Sandburg, in his poem Grass, uses the imperative tense, proper nouns, and tension
between the first person and the third person points of view to show that humanity repeats its
mistakes because nature always conceals them. Sandburg uses proper nouns throughout the poem to
emphasize the reality of wars fought and lives lost. By calling battles by their proper names, in
ominous, measured sentences, he is peeling back, so to speak, the layer of grass concealing them.
This technique makes it impossible to gloss over the atrocities that were committed. When he says,
"Pile the bodies high at Austerlitz and Waterloo" (Line 1), "And pile them high at Ypres and Verdun"
(5), he is naming specific places, where individuals died at a certain time. Readers are unable to

have the same meaning to the painting, with her clenched fist representing the strength of the album

Resume : A Personal Marketing Tool
Resumes are a personal marketing tool with the purpose to showcase skills, accomplishments, and,
ultimately, land an interview. The resume will highlight the applicant's values through talents,
abilities, and achievements. A remarkable resume alone will not get the dream job, but suitable
selections in determining what information is used in a resume can make an applicant far more
noticeable to potential employers. There is not one defined way to generate a fabulous cover letter
or resume, but the best resumes are concise, result–oriented, and clearly presented. Step one is to
brainstorm. Take a moment to list your experience and skills that are relevant to the position you are
applying for. Take the time to study the job posting and think about how you want to illustrate that
you are the ideal candidate the employer is searching for. Most job postings have wish list of
preferred skills. Pay special attention to this list and try to think of how your experience
compliments and reflects those skills.
Keep in mind that this is the way you are introducing yourself to a potential employer and you want
them to deliberate that you are the perfect person for the job. Consider leadership roles,
demonstrated resourcefulness, skills, and keep the employer and job description in mind. Keep
whatever you list on your resume applicable and personalized to the position. Step two is to capture
it in writing. There are hundreds of resume examples on–line that can be

It is often produced in unexpected places by designers of things for sale in the marketplace of the
moment which nonetheless have lasting aesthetic value: American vernacular art.
Of course the raison d'etre of the jazz album is to provide listeners with reproductions of jazz
performances. But it is also true that at its best the jazz record––especially the 12–inch LP but
occasionally the early cylinder and the heavy (at first one– sided) pancake platter of yesteryear and
even the 7– or 10–inch recording, and the CD of our own era––can be such a perfect package that it
looks and feels just as jazzy as the music itself. The truth is that sometimes the entire package (cover
art, liner notes, disk, and label) actually outswings the music it is meant to complement. In some
cases one keeps the record only for the sake of its beautiful wrappers and writings! But when all of a
jazz album's artistic values are high, music and package alike, the listener/observer/holder/reader
has access to an aesthetic experience that is deeply and uniquely satisfying.
Prior to the introduction of the 12–inch LP in 1950, 78 rpm jazz records (and records in all
categories) were packaged either in single paper sleeves or in sleeve–pages of "albums" having two

What does it mean to be famous? The popular definition of fame means being distinguished
amongst the rest for a certain act or function. In other words, for being more talented or well known.
Typically, this type of fame is reserved for celebrities and popular landmarks. However, being
famous could also mean being recognized amongst friends for being kind. There is no clear
limitation on what being famous could mean. In Naomi Shihab Nye's poem "Famous", she describes
her own feelings of what fame is. She describes the way that fame can only exist when there is

Album Cover for The Stuff by Inspired By Aliens (2016)
I'm taking AP Studio Art this year, and my concentration is album covers. Each album cover I've

beginning of Star Wars. I Isolated sections of the photo and altered the colors of them individually
in order to get the effect I wanted, then chose a font that I felt fit the theme best.
All of my albums are designed to work on mobile devices rather than 12" vinyl covers because the
music industry and market is overwhelmingly digital. Because of this, I use fonts that work at small
sizes and go for simple, graphic covers as opposed to the more intricate designs that tend to work
very well in larger formats.

does a school decide which books should be banned from the classroom, and should it be left up to

According to the American Library Association, the most common group of people, challenging a
book being read in schools, was the parents of the students. Parents have a right to be in charge of
what is put into the minds of their students, however just because one parent objects does not mean
that the whole school should ban the book from the list. A solution for this book would be to enforce
parental consent for books to be read in the classroom. If a parent does not want a book to be read in
the classroom, then there should be other options for the student to read. The school and teacher
should not trespass on a parent's rights of raising their child. I believe that if a parent has a concern,
they should go and discuss the problem with the teacher so that the teacher will be able to defend
their reasoning for choosing the book to be read in the classroom.
If a controversial book will be read in the classroom, it is the teacher's responsibility to prepare the
student for it. The teacher must ensure that the book is age–appropriate for the student, and is
appropriate for the subject matter that the teacher is covering. Reading books such as Catcher in The
Rye without discussion can be more harmful than helpful to a student. The Catcher in The Rye has
obscene language, violence, occult practices, and sexual references (Doyle 2010). This book should
only be read by a mature age group with a

The Great Gatsby And Cugat 's Cover Art
Art and Literature connect in a multitude of ways, including style, message, and creative vision. Yet,
it is not often that these two converge in a way that heightens the messages of both. F. Scott
Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and Cugat's cover art exhibit the synthesis of these two expressions.
By writing the cover into the story, Fitzgerald blurs the line that separates these two pieces of art
and merges their message of change to culture and the true nature of that culture. With the artistic
aspects of blue shade, bright imagery, and raw emotion, Fitzgerald provides the inspiration for
Cugat to paint the realistic picture of the 1920's, while Fitzgerald constructs the world of the West
and East Egg, New York. The bright and colorful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means that bright lights, clothing, and their symbolism are used in accordance with race and a
person's color. Race is important in this story because the racism displayed by many characters in
the story, most notably Tom, actually exhibits the evil sensibilities of the West and East Egg
residents. This racial bias displays the "American" sensibilities of the time because of the racial
tension during the 1920's. Yet, this oppression because of color opposes the bright colors of
prosperity. Sarah Churchwell states that the story, " 'spoke of the American Dream, they meant the
American hope, the American aspiration, the American ideal. When people wrote of the American
Dream after 1930, they meant the American mirage, the American illusion... the American lie' "
("The Great Gatsby Delusion" 16). Also, she states that this portrayal of high class symbolizes the
attainment of the American dream and the desire to keep it, "[i]f America is a land of fables, then the
"American dream" is supposed to be one of our favourites. Although most would call it a
consolatory idea, the phrase 'American dream' was in fact created to describe not America 's success
stories, but its failures: it was intended as a corrective to acquisitiveness, not a name for it." (16). To
expand on the idea of the American dream being built on failures and illusions, Churchwell doesn't
seem to describe what inspired that desire. In the story, Daisy personifies what the American dream

Cover Art Research
Compared to traditional art forms that have been around for millennia, other forms of art have
produced millions of objects, and images by almost as many artists. Graphics arts, a relative new
comer to the world of art is still in its infancy. With a history stretching back only 25 years, this
paper begin with a brief history of this art form. In the First paragraph the paper expands on the
history and highlights the advancements this style of art has seen over the last two decades. Cover
art has made prominent contributions within three main styles transitioning among them over the
years. Hand drawn images, film photography art, and digital art. The very first video game was
founded in the late 1940's games used interactive electronic devices with various display formats.
"The earliest example is from 1947–a "Cathode ray tube Amusement Device" was filed for a patent
on 25 January 1947, by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann, and issued on 14 December
1948, as U.S. Patent, inspired by radar display tech, it consisted of an analog device that allowed a
user to control a vector–drawn dot on the screen to simulate a missile being fired at targets, which

Covered Music Ethical Issues
Covering has become an important part of today's musical world. A practice that started many
decades ago, dating back to the 1940s and beyond, has become not only accepted but expected. It is
a complex issue; however, as it raises issues such as the acknowledgment of the covered music as
original art, the ethical questions the practice raises, and the relevance of the cover to popular music.
Artists have covered songs for many years, and the practice has expanded drastically. Some artists
cover songs performed by an artist covering other songs. Other musicians merely sample parts of a
song, using that sample to create their own work. Recently, rap musicians have even begun
producing many remixes that continue to raise ethical questions. The practice of covering is
essential to today's music despite the moral and legal issues it creates. Today's version of covering is

Vanilla Ice faced problems when he didn't pay David Bowie and Queen credit or royalties when he
sampled their music for "Ice, Ice Baby." Had he done this, his use of their base line would have been
perfectly acceptable. An example of an artist who samples properly is Kanye West. In his song
"Stronger," Kanye sampled a line from a Daft Punk song. Mr. West took all the proper steps to credit
Daft Punk which allowed him to create an extremely popular song. If Danger Mouse properly
credited both the Beatles and Jay–Z in the creation of his Grey Album, there would have been no
concerns and EMI would not have halted its distribution. Lil Wayne is an artist who creates a lot of
remixes, and in doing so he raises his own popularity and profits substantially. However he gives
complete credit to the original artist and makes sure there are no ethical concerns with his work. As
long as an artist fulfills the proper legal requirements, paying royalties and giving songwriting
credit, then there is no ethical issue with

Wedding Photography: Grand Lens
Viewing your wedding photos for the first time may feel quite overwhelming. There are so many
photographs to view. How do newlyweds decide which ones to include in their wedding photo
album? Wedding photographers typically deliver hundreds, if not thousands of photos to their
clients. In our experience, 40–60 photographs deliver a very comprehensive album. It is fantastic to
see the big day again from beginning to end, but there are too many to choose from! Grand Lens
Photography is here to assist you with 9 tips for choosing photos for the perfect wedding album.
1. Select your absolute favorite photos, not what you think they should be. Imagine of your photo
album as an emotional record, not a technical one. In other words, choose photos you can not live
without. We believe think the best albums are collections of your favorite pictures. Not necessarily
the pictures that "have to" go in. Sometimes it just happens to be the veil blowing in the wind or an
expression on someone's face as the bride walks down the aisle. Begin with a photo that would
make a great opening image. The first photo could be on the first page inside the album or could fill
in as the wedding album cover.
2. Consider the photos in chronological order. In general, ceremony photos should go before ...

Reflection Of Self Reflection
When I registered for this course I did not know what to expect from the title of the class – Arts and
Sciences in the Workplace. In my opinion, the information and material I obtained within the span
of two months was exceptionally helpful. Without hesitation, I recommend this course to anyone
who may feel they need to brush up on their professionalism. Individuals who are undecided in
which major to select could find this course useful. Overall, the materials I inserted in my portfolio
are representations of concepts I felt that would best benefit me in the professional world. The
reflections in my portfolio not only assisted my general understanding of adulthood, but influenced
my perception of who I am as an individual. A majority of the topics I reflected on were categorized
in the "Personal Development" section. The most beneficial aspect that assisted me the most was
taking advantage of more opportunities, analytically researching and spending the time to get to
realize the different aspects about me. I certainly feel more confident in becoming a productive
employee in the workplace. When I decided to take the Saboteur test there were no specific
expectations I had for this assessment. It turns out that our mind has saboteurs of their own.
Consequently, we struggle with them on a daily basis. However, individuals are different. Therefore,
each individual is fighting his or her own saboteurs. My results shocked me and proved to be an

Hip Hop Culture's Cover Art Analysis
With means to express oneself, helps one overcome the difficulties of life. This approach represents
the entire nature of the hip hop culture, especially when dealing with social justice issues. Today, hip
hop culture's association revolves around raps (lyrics) and the rappers which reflect how consumers
receive messages about social justice issues. Unlike breaking and graffiti, the music/lyrics penetrate
society more. However, for this analysis, the focus will rely on a visual element with a connection to
hip hop music. Even though a music video would make sense as a visual means of expression, this

At nighttime, two black teens run towards the camera away from several white police officers. In
this scene, the teens stand out the most due to their light, almost blinding, clothing. Upon the first
viewing, the cops appear invisible as if lurking in the shadows. While the person on the right has
their face towards the camera, the other person turns their head to the cops. With the right–sided
person unobscured face, examining their expression becomes simple. It's as if this horrified teen is
screaming as loud as possible. On the other hand, the black teen on the left has their attention on the
cops, blocking their expression but it appears shocked. As stated before, the police officers' outfits
cause them to blend into the night while illuminating the light part of them; their white faces and
arms. However, the cops seem calm, almost confused as they walk behind the teens. Due to their
leisurely pace, it confuses the photo's tone presented by the screaming teen. It doesn't seem as
violent as another picture with black teens and white cops would. What is happening in this image;
are the police at fault or are the teens? Even with historical context, the motives of the individuals in

Critique Of The Defense Of Cover Songs
Critique for "In Defense of Cover Songs" There is a belief in today's society snowballing from the
past that a cover song is merely a copy or rip off of the original. This dilemma is discussed in an
article Don Cusic, who has taught courses in the music business industry since 1982 and is known
as a pioneer of music business education. Cusic's other accomplishments and credibility come from
being a historian of country music, a scholar and writer known worldwide, and an author of over
209 books and 500 articles (Belmont University). The reason that cover songs are an important
discussion in today's society is because there is an increase in cover song creation and also a steady
increase of criticism of cover songs. This is due to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cusic begins his paper with the effect of co–writing asserting that the artist loses much more money
when they could have earned more if they had created a song themselves. He then goes on to
explain how fans and critics feel the need for a song to be legitimate and that if a singer doesn't
create his or her own song they are seen as an invalid artist. However, Cusic asserts that fans and
critics do not care for the artist's reason for creating the song, and that the audience's connection to
the song is the reason why it is even purchased or seen as real music. Cusic affirms that singers who
create cover songs are not any less legitimate compared to artists who create original music and that
singers have their own way of describing what a song means to them. Next, he brings up the fact
that a new audience can benefit a song, that history plays a major role in the belief of cover songs
and that the boundary between songwriters and singers are meant to be respected. He explains that if
an original song is covered, it receives the benefit of a new audience learning about the history of
the original song. This strengthens his assertion that, "Many times a 'cover' is a history lesson for a
new, young audience who never heard the original" (174). Cusic further explains that cover songs
were created throughout time by providing many well–known songs and artists from the past like

affect his/her judgment in other areas. It can also apply to negative traits or characteristics.
Occasionally, applicants may volunteer non–job related information relating to religion, sex, marital
status, national origin, age, etc. during an interview, which can be used to discriminate. An example
is an applicant who talks about being divorced or about his/her children and childcare arrangements.
Even though you did not ask for the information, you can still be charged with discrimination if a

o Return the discussion to job related issues
o Do not consider the non–job related information in decisions about the applicant's candidacy.

It could lead to different shocking outcomes that only the government could imagine. But of course
why, will first if someone is very religious, they can say there is now way one planet in billions of
galaxies only have life, but the government keeps it secret for a very alarming reason. The
government does not want us to be scared or alarmed (THE UFO COVER–UP). It's a very
protective reason for the world to not go into panic and havoc (The UFO COVER–UP).Because of
the reasonings, this shows that aliens exist. For example. it's like hiding something that you know
you've done wrong but can't hide. Giving new explanations and cover up proving it doesn't exist
when all these occurrences have already taken place. There's no way of hiding that the government
is just blinding the public from UFO's, making us worry about our own lives, and our own self

In conclusion, Roswell's incident has been proven that a UFO has crashed near this area. From why
the military had covered up this situation so quickly, with all the new sightings, evidence proving
aliens have been encountered with at Roswell. Also with the government secrecy, Area 51 being so

Summary Of Paula Dan's Short Story 'Faces'
Fibber Flowers From the beginning of their days, children are endlessly taught that true beauty lies
within, even if the exterior looks rather dull or repulsive. The skeleton of prejudice is based on not
wanting something or someone because of one's precomposed perception, despite the fact that the
receiver of the prejudice's true identity and character are unknown. Paradoxically, the thin coat of
glitter and gold can easily be used to conceal the coal and soot underneath. In her short story
"Faces", Paula Dan recounts a tale of a Janus–faced man. The story, based on a similar incident that
took place in her mid–teens, describes how a seemingly pleasant and caring man only uses his
supposed qualities to blind others of his abusive tendencies. Through the characterization of Mr.
Stavros' (aforementioned man) instability, the symbolism of plants and metaphors, Dan vividly
illustrates the concealment of the indisputable disorder and obscenities within the Stavros
household, no matter how many lies the flowers feed the eyes of outsiders. When Mr. Stavros is first

Meat Loaf 's Album ' Bat Out Of Hell '
Meat Loaf's album 'Bat Out Of Hell' was released in 1977, and is considered by many as an iconic
album cover. In 2001, it was rated 71st in Q Magazine's listing of 'The 100 Best Album Covers of
All Time'. Singer Meat Loaf and composer Jim Steinman commissioned the cover artwork from the
renowned comic artist Richard Corben, best known for his sci–fi and fantasy work. Corben's
illustration effectively advertises the album 's contents to the target audience as well as creating the
beginnings of a visual identity for 'Meat Loaf'.
The illustration was designed to fit the size and shape of an album cover measuring 12.375 inches
square. The original artwork was painted on a 24 inch square canvas board using oil and acrylic
paint. Designing an illustration to fit these precise dimensions can be challenging as you are limited
by both size and shape, which restricts the composition.
It is difficult to illustrate 'the shifting moods, and the emotional range' (THORGERSON, Storm,
Aubrey POWELL and Design Richard EVANS. 1999. 100 best album covers: [ the stories behind
the sleeves]. London: Dorling Kindersley Publishers) of the entire album in one twelve inch square
piece of artwork.
Coben worked around this problem by focusing on the album's title track and main hit single 'Bat

tone of the entire album. By concentrating on the one song Coben has created a very powerful, eye–

Strengths Of Steganography
Abstract– Steganography is a technique of hiding the secret information. Steganography hides the
existence of the secret data and make the communication undetectable. Secret data can be
communicated in an appropriate multimedia carrier such as image, audio or video. Image
steganography is extensively used technique. In this technique secret data is embedded within the
image. Steganography techniques can be categorized into two groups – adaptive and non–adaptive.
Each of these have its strengths and weaknesses. Adaptive steganography embeds the secret
information in the image by adapting some of the local features of the image. Non–adaptive
steganography embeds secret data equally in each and every pixel of the image. Several techniques

Still, message transmissions over the Internet need to face a few issues, for example, copyright
control, information security, and so on. Consequently we need secure secret specialized strategies
for transmitting message over the Internet. Encryption is a surely understood strategy for security

Another approach to tackle this issue is to conceal the mystery data behind a cover with the goal that

Cover Art In Dracula

  • 1. Cover Art In Dracula In summarizing the works of Sigmund Freud, Robert Michaels concluded, "Everything in the world is about sex except sex. Sex is about power" (Seeling 118). Bram Stoker's 1897 gothic horror novel Dracula is no exception to this primordial certainty. With disregard to the negative attitudes exhibited toward human sexuality throughout the Victorian era, the pages of Dracula are implicitly saturated with erotic symbolism, imagery, and allegory. Consequently, for more than a century, many of the various illustrations used as cover art for the novel have echoed the book's exploration of the forbidden fruit, the titillating, and taboo. The Dracula cover art as pictured above, conspicuously portrays the duality of the male obsession with feminine sexuality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Further, it represents menstrual taboo within society. While erotic images of the naked female body are celebrated and embraced as in the collage. Womanhood is reviled openly because of this idea that naturally occurring biological cycles are repulsive and therefore women are also repulsive. The manner with which the one feminine figure takes the place of the man's mouth represents that this idea of women as sexual beings is unspeakable. It relays that men enjoy the sensual nature of women, yet the topic should be suppressed. The only distinguishable facial characteristic on the male's face, the eye, is also very important. The eye represents the all–seeing, authority, and supremacy. The male eye can look upon the females naked bodies. He can derive pleasure from the women yet return upon them judgement and shame. The eye, therefore is the figurative representation of unbalanced power between the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Cover Art Symbolism In The Great Gatsby As one of the most recognizable book covers in the history of American literature: two sad female eyes and bright red lips adrift in the deep blue of a night sky, hovering ominously above a carnival scene. Full of sorrow and excess, this image has become so connected to The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, that many of the elements within the cover such as the eyes and the figure within them reflect the haunting messages found in the novel. Arguably, the most prominent image in the cover art is the eyes. The eyes on the cover art symbolize that everything these characters do are always being watched. The eyes could be representing God and how he is looking down on the world of The Great Gatsby. For example, the city is seen below the eyes which show that it is being looked upon. Eyes are a symbol that is used throughout the book. They exist in the billboard of Doctor T.J Eckleberg, another symbol of how judgement is being passed on towards the characters. Also, within the eyes a nude woman is seen. The irises of the eyes with nude women lounging in them represent Jay Gatsby's views on his hopeful future with Daisy Buchanan. They also represent the wealthy, since this book strips away their outer shell and shows their true nature. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The disassembled face is Daisy. The face is not solid and the parts that are on it are as if they are floating. Nothing is defined and this represents Daisy because she does not know where she stands as a person and she always conforms to society. She is not confident in herself as a wife and mother. Another point of view as to why she has no face or body is because Gatsby had dreamed about her so much that his "perfect" idea of her was no longer real anymore. Also in the face, under the left eye is a tear. The green tear represents the green light and the hopeful spirits of new beginnings in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Career Goals For A Professional Career Goal There must to be sacrifice and dedication on the road to obtaining a degree. That sacrifice and dedication doubles when the student is a middle–aged adult with a full–time job and other financial obligations. It is not easy juggling a full–time job and being a full–time student. The art of time management is a valuable tool to master and will definitely help with balancing everything and getting all tasks completed. Professional Career Statement Creating a professional career goal statement can significantly impact a resume. According to (Starzee, 2012) a professional career goal statement allows the candidate an opportunity to provide the employer a synopsis of the value they intend to bring to the organization. Below is a professional goal statement for a Client Relationship Professional: Engaging Client Relations Manager adept at evolving complex client proposals. Expertly skilled in various business operations including client billing conflict resolution and the implementation of effective business policies and procedures. Proficient in developing and nurturing productive client relationships. The rationale for the above professional career goal statement is that it shows that the professional is more than capable of performing the duties and also has the highest level of personal skill to interact with clients. • 4. The Beach Boys Research Paper For a person to go a day without hearing music is a rare occurrence. Music is found on the radio, in videos, and in advertisements. Music, being found in every person's life every single day, it is continually changing–– to some for the better, while to others' opinions, the worse. Music lacking originality will not stand the test of time. Nowadays, music is found on everywhere: on applications like iTunes and Spotify, as well as on CD; but, fifty years ago, vinyl and singles were the only way to listen to music other than the radio. Albums on vinyl records are seven inches around, and are produced after musicians record a song by putting a layer of lacquer together. Musical notes are produced by a needle scratching that lacquer, depending ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The American cover displays two men shaking hands, with the man on the right on fire. NME Magazine speaks of the cover art's meaning: "Designer Storm Thorgerson says, 'The theme for this album was absence. We couldn't do a blank cover as The Beatles had already done it with 'The White Album' so we shrink–wrapped the LPs in black and opaque cellophane. Some fans cut the sleeve with a blade and slid the record out so have never seen the burning man cover'". Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters claims that the whole band didn't put forth effort into each and every meeting in the studio, and after previous band member Syd Barrett came into the studio bald and overweight, inspiring him to write songs based around the idea of isolation and sadness. One song, "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", was written for Barrett. Musically, the song was written after Waters admired guitarist David Gilmour's playing during a jam ... • 5. Good Cover Letters When I decided to reenter the workforce and began the tedious and gut–wrenching task of sending out resumes and good cover letters for resumes to every employer I could think of, I quickly realized my hard work and tenacity were not getting me very far. I am a pretty decent writer, and I thought my good cover letters for resumes were truly works of art. I was sure I would get at least an interview for each and every one of these beauties. But I was barely getting even so much as a courtesy confirmation that my good cover letters for resumes were being received in the appropriate HR mailbox, much less an interview. I dug into every contact I had, and twisted a few arms to get early heads up on any one retiring, or being fired. I canoodled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is a sad reality in the corporate world where they still think they want one person per task, instead of sharing the work load as a creative collaborative effort. So for my good cover letters for resumes to really have the desired effect: (get me an interview) I needed to narrow their focus a bit. You need to sound less fancy when writing your good cover letters for resumes. What? This threw me for a loop. But she explained: My writing was in fact great. I had a very extensive vocabulary and my sentences were complex and interesting. Unfortunately this was not a good thing. In fact it was hurting my good cover letters for resumes for two reasons, both of which are silly but true: 1. It makes me sound like an insufferable prig. Certainly not the impression you want your good cover letters for resumes to leave. 2. The managers I am applying with are likely less verbal, and might feel threatened if they were to hire someone they viewed as possibly "smarter" than they are. I found this last one a bit far fetched, but she assured me that while many managers realize the value of having people on your team with better skills than your own, just as many are insecure and would fret that they might eventually be replaced by a superior individual they themselves had ... (Bickerdike, 2014) Never mind the English idiom "don't judge a book by its cover". As a consumerist society, we tend to instinctively make assumptions based on initial appearance. Since the invention on the LP back in 1948, the recording industry adapted the concept of the cover art as to visually represent the artists and music. The warped font can connote with feeling of being submerged underwater, further linking with cover art's intended ideology. Observing the two words together could interpret a deeper meaning. The meaning of the world nirvana according to an online dictionary is defined as "a place or state characterized by freedom from or oblivion to pain, worry, and the external world." • 11. Historical Precedents For The Rise Of Rock ' N ' Roll Covers versions are credited to be "one of the most important precedents for the rise of rock 'n' roll." This "commercial and musical phenomenon" is the use of a previously recorded song that is either remade or reinterpreted by another group or artist. There is an argument that cover versions are employed by bands and artists in order to "cash in" on the success that the original version provided the original artist. However, as in all debates, there is a side that argues that cover versions reinterpret or reimage the original song and change the experience and the meaning of the song based on how the artist or group reinterprets or reimages it. In the following singles, "California Dreamin'," "I Will Always Love You," and "She's Like the Wind" there are examples of the latter argument of artists reinterpreting or reimaging the original singles in their covers. Starting in California, where dreamin' is a way to contemplate the meaning of one's life. At least that is the Mamas and Papas' original version of "California Dreamin.'" The Mamas and Papas were a group situated in Los Angles and the Southern California pop scene and what made them emerge out among other pop or folk groups was the mixture of male and female voices. This state of the world is represented by white light. The light suggest that people are pure in thought, and naïve: they don't know about the problems of the world. Humans need a catalyst to start a revolution so they can move away from obsessions with money, the pain of war and ignoring poverty. That catalyst is represented by the prism. Change could happen if people would use their time wisely and work for it. Artist like Pink Floyd and the attitude of the youth that bought their albums in the 1970s could act as catalyst for change. • 14. The Grass Is Always Greener In Carl Sandburg's Grass The Grass Is Always Greener (Over the Cemetery): the Use of Proper Nouns, the Imperative Tense, and Tension Between the First and Third Person in Carl Sandburg's Grass When a battle is over, the field on which it was fought must look like a wound on the face of the earth: the blood–soaked ground strewn with bodies, lying in mud churned by thousands of marching feet. Eventually, grass grows over the battlefield, hiding the evidence of the horrors that took place there under a blanket of green. In years to come, the area appears so unremarkable that passersby have no indication of what took place there. However, without remembrance, what is to stop history from continually repeating itself? Carl Sandburg, in his poem Grass, uses the imperative tense, proper nouns, and tension between the first person and the third person points of view to show that humanity repeats its mistakes because nature always conceals them. Sandburg uses proper nouns throughout the poem to emphasize the reality of wars fought and lives lost. By calling battles by their proper names, in ominous, measured sentences, he is peeling back, so to speak, the layer of grass concealing them. This technique makes it impossible to gloss over the atrocities that were committed. When he says, "Pile the bodies high at Austerlitz and Waterloo" (Line 1), "And pile them high at Ypres and Verdun" (5), he is naming specific places, where individuals died at a certain time. Parents have a right to be in charge of what is put into the minds of their students, however just because one parent objects does not mean that the whole school should ban the book from the list. A solution for this book would be to enforce parental consent for books to be read in the classroom. If a parent does not want a book to be read in the classroom, then there should be other options for the student to read. He then goes on to explain how fans and critics feel the need for a song to be legitimate and that if a singer doesn't create his or her own song they are seen as an invalid artist. However, Cusic asserts that fans and critics do not care for the artist's reason for creating the song, and that the audience's connection to the song is the reason why it is even purchased or seen as real music. Cusic affirms that singers who create cover songs are not any less legitimate compared to artists who create original music and that singers have their own way of describing what a song means to them. Next, he brings up the fact that a new audience can benefit a song, that history plays a major role in the belief of cover songs and that the boundary between songwriters and singers are meant to be respected. He explains that if an original song is covered, it receives the benefit of a new audience learning about the history of the original song. It can also apply to negative traits or characteristics. Occasionally, applicants may volunteer non–job related information relating to religion, sex, marital status, national origin, age, etc. during an interview, which can be used to discriminate. An example is an applicant who talks about being divorced or about his/her children and childcare arrangements. Even though you did not ask for the information, you can still be charged with discrimination if a question arises subsequently about how this information was used. Should an applicant volunteer non– job related information: o Do not write the information down o Do not ask follow–up questions or make statements to continue in the area of discussion o Return the discussion to job related issues o Do not consider the non–job related information in decisions about the applicant's candidacy. Be careful not to overrate compatibility with other department staff/faculty because it can work against diversity. Be wary of making assumptions about the candidate like: o This person won't be happy here o This person won't understand our students, our employees, our internal customers, etc. o This person won't stay if we hire them.

But of course why, will first if someone is very religious, they can say there is now way one planet in billions of galaxies only have life, but the government keeps it secret for a very alarming reason. The government does not want us to be scared or alarmed (THE UFO COVER–UP). It's a very protective reason for the world to not go into panic and havoc (The UFO COVER–UP).Because of the reasonings, this shows that aliens exist. For example. it's like hiding something that you know you've done wrong but can't hide. Giving new explanations and cover up proving it doesn't exist when all these occurrences have already taken place. There's no way of hiding that the government is just blinding the public from UFO's, making us worry about our own lives, and our own self belief. (The UFO COVER–UP). In conclusion, Roswell's incident has been proven that a UFO has crashed near this area. From why the military had covered up this situation so quickly, with all the new sightings, evidence proving aliens have been encountered with at Roswell. Identifying The Original Image Data For Secrecy AN ALGORITHM TO OVERLAP THE ORIGINAL IMAGE DATA BY UNDISCLOSED SURFACE IMAGE DATA FOR SECRECY NIKHATH FAHANA1, RAM CHANDAR2 M.Tech Student, CSE, SVS Group of Institutions, Warangal, TS 1 Assist. Prof, CSE, SVS Group of Institutions, Warangal, TS2 ABSTRACT: The most of the recent work has spotlighted on texture synthesis by instance, where a source texture image is re–sampled by means of moreover pixel– based or else patch–based algorithms to create a novel synthesized texture image with related local appearance as well as arbitrary size. Texture synthesis has received much consideration in the recent times, in computer vision as well as computer graphics. This permits to take out secret messages and source texture from stego synthetic texture. Our proposed scheme can provide a variety of numbers of embedding capacities, generate a visually plausible texture images, and improve source texture. We suggest a novel method by means of reversible texture synthesis which conceals source texture image and embed secret messages all the way through procedure of texture synthesis. • 36. Summary Of Paula Dan's Short Story 'Faces' Fibber Flowers From the beginning of their days, children are endlessly taught that true beauty lies within, even if the exterior looks rather dull or repulsive. The skeleton of prejudice is based on not wanting something or someone because of one's precomposed perception, despite the fact that the receiver of the prejudice's true identity and character are unknown. Paradoxically, the thin coat of glitter and gold can easily be used to conceal the coal and soot underneath. In her short story "Faces", Paula Dan recounts a tale of a Janus–faced man. The story, based on a similar incident that took place in her mid–teens, describes how a seemingly pleasant and caring man only uses his supposed qualities to blind others of his abusive tendencies. Through the characterization of Mr. Stavros' (aforementioned man) instability, the symbolism of plants and metaphors, Dan vividly illustrates the concealment of the indisputable disorder and obscenities within the Stavros household, no matter how many lies the flowers feed the eyes of outsiders. When Mr. Stavros is first introduced, he is described as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Preceding his quick command to stop looking at him, Mr Stavros informs the narrator that his wife, who remained unnamed, was bothered by the fact that the overgrown flowers engulfed the house. Given that the house symbolizes the family's dynamics and relationship, hiding it behind these beautiful and pretentious flowers broadens the notion that the family bears darker secrets behind the petty flora. Mr. Stavros' methods of covering his true nature eventually failed him, and the narrator discovers that she does not want to partake in his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Night of Neo-Psychedelia and Paisley Underground On Saturday May 17th The Vault at Vinyl Revival hosted a night of Neo–psychedelia and Paisley Underground mixed with a little Dream Magic Psych. Additionally we had two guest D J's , Eric Slick from Dr. Dog and Dominic Angelella form DRGN KING. They played songs LP's and 45's in between sets and I had the opportunity to speak with Eric about Dr. Dog and the music business. He is the drummer and arranged the horns on the new album, B–Room. The album is a group project and is the driving force in the wide range of musical styles on this fine album. It is disappointing to hear that sales are light, even though, by many standards it is a very good effort. "Folks take our music" we make our living touring. Intellectually, I know this, but folks would not steal tips, a painting, or money, yet feel comfortable taking an artist's work. Thanks for coming and adding a little more color to a very musically colorful night. Weekender came out first and set the mood with their dreamy Paisley Underground cuts from their album, Spanish Peaks. Nick and Eric Sheehan write the music and play drums and guitar. Tom Anthony and Emily Cahiel added depth with vocals and guitars. Emily's harmony gave the vocals that far off Blue Oyster Cult feel. I heard a lot of my favorites in their music, The Moody Blues. The Strawbs, Jefferson Airplane and Blue Oyster Cult. This was most evident in the first song "LSD and the Age of Interest" and the last song "Spanish Peaks" which is also ... • 38. Meat Loaf 's Album ' Bat Out Of Hell ' Meat Loaf's album 'Bat Out Of Hell' was released in 1977, and is considered by many as an iconic album cover. In 2001, it was rated 71st in Q Magazine's listing of 'The 100 Best Album Covers of All Time'. Singer Meat Loaf and composer Jim Steinman commissioned the cover artwork from the renowned comic artist Richard Corben, best known for his sci–fi and fantasy work. Corben's illustration effectively advertises the album 's contents to the target audience as well as creating the beginnings of a visual identity for 'Meat Loaf'. The illustration was designed to fit the size and shape of an album cover measuring 12.375 inches square. The original artwork was painted on a 24 inch square canvas board using oil and acrylic paint. Designing an illustration to fit these precise dimensions can be challenging as you are limited by both size and shape, which restricts the composition. It is difficult to illustrate 'the shifting moods, and the emotional range' (THORGERSON, Storm, Aubrey POWELL and Design Richard EVANS. 1999. 100 best album covers: [ the stories behind the sleeves]. London: Dorling Kindersley Publishers) of the entire album in one twelve inch square piece of artwork. Coben worked around this problem by focusing on the album's title track and main hit single 'Bat Out Of Hell '. Despite Corben focusing on one song, the artwork reflects the Gothic heavy metal tone of the entire album. By concentrating on the one song Coben has created a very powerful, eye– catching ... Image steganography is extensively used technique. In this technique secret data is embedded within the image. Steganography techniques can be categorized into two groups – adaptive and non–adaptive. Each of these have its strengths and weaknesses. Adaptive steganography embeds the secret information in the image by adapting some of the local features of the image. Consequently we need secure secret specialized strategies for transmitting message over the Internet. In any case, encryption makes the message unreadable, and making message sufficiently suspicious to pull eavesdroppers' consideration. Another approach to tackle this issue is to conceal the mystery data behind a cover with the goal that it draws no extraordinary consideration. This strategy of data security is called steganography (Petitcolas and Anderson,1998; Petitcolas and Katzenbeisser, 2000) in which imperceptible communication happen.
