Wyatt Earp: The Life Behind The Legend is a biography about the wild and crazy life of Wyatt Earp written by Casey Tefertiller. This book tells
you a lot about Wyatt Earp and his family's life and all the good and rough times they had. It tells you about the wild west and how they managed to
live a good life and support their family. It tells you about some of the big arrests that Earp and his posse made. It tells you all the big events in Earp's
and his family's lives. It tells you how Wyatt Earp died and how all his close friends and acquaintances tried as hard as they could to keep his spirit alive
in the west.
The author explains in depth about Wyatt Earp's life and all the ups and downs in his career. According to Tefertiller, "The night before we left, the
cowboys had organized a raid on the saloon" (160). This was a quote from Wyatt Earp that Tefertiller used to explain a big raid they had planned on a
saloon to catch the robbers. This quote was towards the end of the book when it started getting a little more intense and they were getting ready for
this raid. Tefertiller observes, "I am an officer, give me your pistol" (51). This quote was towards the beginning of the book and it is explaining the
time when Earp first got into being an officer and made his first couple arrests. Tefertiller notes, "The Gang" (15). This quote states when Wyatt first

Tombstone The Wild West, following the civil war, and even after reconstruction, was a place filled with surprising and fascinating characters, including
the well–known and quite stereotypical character of the western cowboy. Though not all cowboys are presented in a bad or harsh manner, some,
including the ones in George P. Cosmatos' gritty and bloody "shoot 'em up"western film, are. While some may be dubious of the apparent luck and
skill of some of the gunmen such as Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp, many of the gunfights did have real witnesses, rendering them real. The film is
extremely accurate, and George P. Cosmatos made sure of it, lining the streets and towns in the movie with dusty, sandy, dirty people, period

The roles were chosen spectacularly well, often times with actors already accustomed to playing western characters (as in the case of Sam Elliott
playing Virgil. That being said, the actors also did an outstanding job with their respective roles. Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer each played stellar

The poem can be seen as a parable relating to Anne's relationship with Henry VIII. When Wyatt speaks of the deer as the possession of the
sovereign, not to be pursued by others, he is accepting that Anne has been reserved for the king alone. Wyatt would have been forced to withdraw as
a suitor after the King had shown interest in her. This is made evident when Wyatt says: "I leave off, therefore, / Since in a net I seek to hold the
wind" (7–8). He realizes the impossibility of being with Anne. It is a clever description of Henry's possessiveness and Wyatt's disappointment and

2. Using "hind" as a metaphor to a charming lady who is flirty but hard to approach is the central metaphor of this poem. In this sonnet, Sir Thomas
Wyatt almost applied this metaphor throughout the entire poem. The language from line 1 to line 10 seems to focus on the activity of deer–hunting: the
speaker is attracted by a female deer and chases the deer from far behind, but he is exhausted and gives up as the deer flees; however, the use of

Sir Thomas Wyatt's defence covered two major areas; the possible insulting of the king and conspiring with Catholics in a newly decided protestant

was ever used, even if we do know he somehow did manage to get himself off the charges. Nevertheless, it offers great insight to the mind and feelings

poetry, and more importantly his satires like 'Myne Owne John Poyntz'. Through Wyatt's own work we can examine the possible emotion, and tie it
down to its own specific historical moment.
Furthermore, this leads us to question the relationship between Wyatt and the king, Henry VIII. The alleged love triangle between them andAnne
Boleyn might suggest more room for speculation on his defence and the general sentiments Wyatt might have that would lead him to, in a moment of
high–emotion, blaspheme openly against the king. Indeed it is alluded to in 'Myne Owne John Poyntz', 'I am not he that can allow the state/of his
Caesar, and damn Cato to die', that the king is, in Wyatt's mind, a focus of great animosity. Classical allusion is, and remains to be, a traditional device
for distancing oneself from the characters around you to directly criticise the climate of court or social

Holliday was friends with a William Leonard, who was later implicated in an attempted stagecoach robbery, that resulted in the death of two of
three passengers. Prior to this event, Holliday had had a number of run ins with an individual by the name of Milt Joyce. A number of times
Holliday was arrested and taken to court for assault. These charges were often dropped after Holliday paid court fees and the fines associated.

with Ike Clanton (a known Cowboy member), Wyatt would give Ike the reward money for the outlaws, if Ike would give information regarding
their whereabouts[2]. Ike Clanton, on the other hand, denied such a deal occurring. He said that Wyatt approached him, but he [Ike] would have
nothing to do with the deal [1]. When the outlaws were found, they (allegedly) resisted arrest and the outlaws in the party who could clear Holliday's
name were killed. Ike grew restless and fearing that the Cowboys would hear about his deal with Wyatt [2]. Ike accused Wyatt of sharing their plan
with Holliday. Ike confronted Wyatt and later Holliday. Virgil broke up the confrontation between Holliday and Ike, and while Holliday went to his

Sir Thomas Wyatt and Samuel Daniels have sonnets in which the speaker is attempting to define love. With one speaker stating his daily life and the
other expressing the feeling through paradoxes, both ultimately end up with poems that are not conventionally good love poems. I allege that the
reason they cannot effectively define love is that they do not truly understand it because their own egos blind them from it. The scope of both sonnets
is restricted to simply the speakers' focus and they spend all fourteen lines saying things of little consequence. Rather than getting across the point that
they are in love, they are showing their disillusionment in regards to what love is because they are so self–centered and thus inadept at writing poetry. I
aim to reveal that these sonnets reveal more about the speakers than about love through their choice of rhyme scheme, rhetorical devices, meter, and
repetition.
The speakers use different rhyme schemes. "I find no peace" is a Petrarchan sonnet and "If this be love" is a Shakespearean sonnet. While not actually
flouting the conventional patterns, the speakers use diction that hardly allows the sonnets to be easily identified by their rhyme schemes. In the first
and fourth lines of "I find no peace," for example, the speaker seems to rhyme "done" with "on" (Wyatt ll. 1, 4). Instead of altering the word choice
to better fit the Petrarchan rhyme scheme, the speaker writes in the only diction he can think of. Wyatt's speaker is so focused on himself and his
paradoxical experience of love that he fails to create an effective sonnet.
We see a similar disregard for the standard form by Daniel's speaker. The rhyme scheme of a Shakespearean sonnet is there, though not obviously
with the speaker attempting to rhyme "thoughts" and "notes" in the last quatrain (Daniel ll. 9, 11). I believe the weakness in the overall rhyme
scheme implies that the speaker is careless of tradition. This loose rhyming shows a lack of regard for the form the speaker is attempting to emulate,
further emphasizing the possibility that his goal has not been to define love but to prove to others, and himself, that he is in love.

Throughout the years, there has been an abundance of movies depicting the wild west during the nineteenth century. One of these films includes
Tombstone which was released in the year 1993. Based on real events, this movie is about a man named Wyatt Earp, played by Kurt Russel, who is a
retired officer that settles in a town called Tombstone with his two brothers. Later, they encounter a group of outlaws called the Cowboys which was
led by Curly Bill and Johnny Ringo. Due to some conflict between the opposing sides, it causes a massive gunfight called the O.K. Corral in which the
Earp brothers and long–time friend Doc Holliday, played by Val Kilmer, ultimately win the battle. As a result of the fight not ending in the Cowboys
favor, they ambush the town in which leads to Virgil, played by Sam Elliot (Tombstone, 1.), becoming handicapped and Wyatt's younger brother,

(Wyatt, 8). By giving us this statement, it shows how fruitless the speaker's hopes are. This theme is also prominent in Spenser's "Sonnet 67". As
the narrator describes his love life he says, "Seeing the game from him escaped away" (Spenser, 2) showing how unobtainable this woman truly is.
Later on the speaker supports the theme again, by saying "So, after long pursuit and vain assay" (Spenser, 5). On the speaker's journey, he has
attempted to get his girl, but each time it never works. These two poems are quite similar as they both have the same theme. Even though they seem
to almost be the same poem, there is one big difference within the poems. The two poems have a very different tone, with Wyatt's being much more
clingy and stubborn, while Spenser's being more contemplative and realistic. In "Whoso List to Hunt" the narrator is much clingier: "Fainting I
follow" (Wyatt, 7). Even though this woman will never take him in, he still pushes on and refuses to let go. Similarly, he supports this by saying, "Yet

Many people are familiar with poetry; they understand their basic concepts and know that some differ in their size and how they rhyme. What some
people may not know is that poems are categorized and there are many different types of groups within poetry. There are various types of poetry ––
which include the sonnet. The sonnet was introduced by an Italian poet named Francesco Petrarch (1304–1374) who introduced the creation in the 13th
century (Applebee 295). He wrote over 300 love sonnets, a great number of them were dedicated to a woman named Laura. Centuries passed in
which sonnets were not as popular; his work was later rediscovered by two lovelorn poets. Their names were Sir Thomas Wyatt (1503–1542) and
Henry Howard, earl of Surrey (1517–1547). They changed some of the rhyme scheme to tie in with the English language; Shakespeare went on to
write many sonnets, he was very good and left a huge impact on the style of poetry.
Later, an already famous poet, Edmund Spenser, kept the love based poems alive by continuing to write in the 15th century; he went on to change
how they poem rhymed and had his style of writing named after him. Enough with its history, a sonnet is a structured poem that consists of 14 lines.
There is no limitation on how long each line has to be in size; but they do all have one thing in common, there must be ten syllables per line. The
poem is then divided into three quatrains; which is just a big word for a four–lined unit. The final two lines are

The Avatars, for example, all magical creatures who once were rulers of the entire world. Upon their demise, their power was tested, and a potion
was created which was so powerful that it was the only thing in the world that could kill an Avatar. Like the sisterhood of Phoebe, Piper and Prue, if
an Avatar dies it affects all of them, and eventually exposes their weaknesses individually and as a group.

Tombstone was released December 25, 1993 and made $6,454,752 in the first week. Tombstone is based in the city of Tombstone in the Arizona
Territory during the 1880s. The movie is about the conflict that an ex–cattle town sheriff and his family face. Wyatt Earp, played by Kurt Russell, his
older Brother Virgil Earp, (Sam Elliott), and his younger brother Morgan Earp, (Bill Paxton), come to Tombstone to become miners. When they

Film Analysis Of The Film 'Easy Rider'
'Easy Rider' Analysis America in the 1960's was a time of turbulence and chaos. A nation divided in the midst of the counterculture movement that was
sparked by a generational split and fueled by the Vietnam War, America was struggling for change. The New Hollywood took these issues into account
and translated them onscreen. Films of the New Hollywood centered around the protagonist, often depicting them as an anti–hero, who suffered from
alienation and conflict within society. In the film 'Easy Rider' these themes are exemplified through its reinvention of the Western genre. Dennis
Hopper uses this film as a way to convey ideas of the Western by placing into a modern setting that embodies the feeling of 1960's America. The
Western in 'Easy Rider' is depicted primarily through the conflict between the rural and urban environments displayed onscreen. Throughout the film
the countryside and city are constantly being compared through the narrative, the cinematography, and the dialogue that is presented to the
audience. Laszlo Kovac's vivid and expansive camerawork showcases the the sprawling mountains and endless deserts that are reminiscent of the
Western Frontier. The rural territory that Wyatt and Billy occupy during their breaks is almost idyllic whether they are huddled around a campfire
or sitting in an open field, a reminder of the Western is brought to the surface. The farmer's ranch and hippie commune that is eventually seen in the
film are shown as isolated settlements, and the heart of the wilderness lies within them. Wyatt first praises the farmer for living off the land, and
says "Not every man that can live off the land, you know. You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud." He later on conveys his
belief that the commune will be able to produce crops even in the empty field that is seen. Like these people, Billy and Wyatt have rejected society
seeking out their own freedom, living as outlaws like many western heros do. When Wyatt and Billy are rejected from motels, that is symbolic of the
civilized world that they are no longer apart of, rather they must retreat to the wild to set up camp, often gathering
